One time I was about to purchase my Alchimie, but it wasn't in the store so I ordered it online and as I was waiting for it, I bought Byzantine. I smelled it before and somehow I liked it so much even though I love orientals and Byzantine is fruity or floral. Very light and romantic instead of being mysterious like Lolita Lempicka, or Alchimie. But like I said I was suprised because this perfume has some interesting notes to it. I absolutelly loved it. Now I use Alchimie as my signature scent, if not then Lolita is the one I use the most, but I am planning on buying another Byzantine bottle. Because the bitter orange, with lomen-light jasmine combination IS JUST IT. No smelly roses, lilies-of-the-valley, sweet, oversweet, white flowers that just give You a headache... but just very subtle (and I'm talking bout it being really subtle) florals with this interesting touch of citrus... Lovely!

The predominant smell at first is orange blossoms, then come the sweet spices. Not at all heavy. Smells like a sunny spring day.
