The seduction of blossoming gardenia blends with the freshness of a garden after a spring shower.
This fragrance is beautiful but it is not gardenia. Tuberose Passion is more like it. If you want gardenia I recommend AG's Matin D'Orage and Yves Rocher Pur Desir de Gardenia.
This is one of the most beautiful white florals I've ever come across. Yes, it is tuberose and one of the best! A very voluptuous fragrance.
You're right. This is tuberose based. As I read somewhere else "as the fragrance of the gardenia flower is impossible to extract, Annick Goutal has recreated the heady, seductive scent using oak moss, orange blossom and tuberose" I also loved Jungle Gardenia. I think Sand and Sable is similar to Jungle gardenia and so is Versace's Blonde. However, I also love Tuberose, so gardenia Passion is a beautiful tropical scent, kind of like gardenia, kind of like tuberose, but it is made from tuberose.
this is the closest you'll ever come to experiencing a real gardenia scent...in smells fresh, wet and floral sweet...like a dewy garden...it's just gorgeous
A warm, slightly sweet fragrance. Not bad but rather ordinary. Reminds me of some other sweet, semi-oriental fragrances like Givency Organza...
As I understand it it's pronounced "Ann-eek Goo-tall". Hope that helps! Also hope it's right :)
would anyone help me? how do you pronounce "annick goutal?"
Gardenia fragrances, no matter how lovely, never smell exactly like a live gardenia blossom to me. The original vintage Jungle Gardenia is my benchmark for true-to-gardenia fragrances, and Gardenia Passion is not like JG, though they're *distantly* related. GP is more tuberose, I believe, than solely gardenia - or rather, more of a heady floral mix than a pure gardenia fragrance, though I'm no "nose" so don't quote me. It's heady, but also fresh and greenish. It's also fairly long-lasting on me. I've been wearing GP on and off for years, whatever time of year, whenever I'm in the mood for it. Initially, I get a strange mildewy or rubbery note, but the drydown is floral and soft and really lovely. It's a romantic and feminine fragrance. I'm a floral/nature lover, so I love this and most other AG's.
