Introducing Par Amour perfume, Clarins first fragrance. A fragrance whose name is the cornerstone that represents every single one of Clarins convictions. Par Amour perfume, caressing, tender notes. The top notes are dominated by Pink Peppercorns and Blackcurrants. They cast their spell with a burst of spontaneous, spicy freshness. The subtle and delicate fragrance of Ottoman Rose creates a longing and then disappears. The Rose then blends with the smooth, creamy softness of Sandalwood. This fluid wood, together with Siamese Benzoin, embrace the rose petals as the entire fragrance then blends into one sensuous symphony.
I was very pleased with this perfume, it was a gift for our daughter, and very hard to find. This company was the only company to come back to me as soon as they had some in stock, and they kept me up to date on the delivery, I would definitely recommend them
I have not been able to get this beautifull fragrance so I am very please to of been able to perchase it and at a reasonable price
This perfume belongs to the floriental family: crisp and peppery at first, it then turns into a velvet dark-red warm scent with a fresh undertone of roses. Not as heavy as classic oriental perfumes. It reminds me of "Venezia" from Laura Biagotti.
an excellent scent, gourmand-oriental type but not too heavy, it smells "round", evoques associations with dark red velvet and brings back memories of "Venezia/Laura Biagotti" which unfortunately has been discontinued
Yes Elysium was certainly Clarins' first perfume. It's a shame it was discontinued because it was lovely and unique. When you mention it to the Clarins salesgirls they all miss it too.
Hubby got me this parfume upon the advice of the sales person as a scent that would match the skin of a new nursing mom. well, he likes it alot, but I'm not sure about it. It is strong at first, then fades away slowly to leave a tender creamy woody floral scent afterwards. never got any compliments on it. This would match many ppl but not me

I just love this scent. I constantly receive compliments, but the best compliment comes from the most important person in my life - my husband; he just loves Par Amour!
This is probably not for everyone, but...it is wonderful. A little peppery at first, but any initial sharpness rounds out quickly. (This one just seems to "work" on me-- anytime I wear "Par Amour", I get compliments from my husband, family, friends, as well as total strangers.) A bit expensive--I would test it at the department store a couple of times before making a purchase. Can anyone shed light on THIS for me: several times I have seen "Par Amour" referred to as Clarins' "first perfume"; however, I used to wear "Elysium", which I am sure was sold at the Clarins counter in Clarins packaging. What's the deal?
