I originally bought a 1oz on the same night i bought a few other fragrances, so I never paid this much attention - it just went on the shelf. I rediscovered it today and I was pleasantly impressed. You can really pick out a pear and apple note at the top, which is balanced by light green and distinct lavender notes. There's not too much spice detectable, although it may be what balances the sweeter notes. Given the proliferation of 'fresh' fragrances that don't have much oomph, or are too sweet, or don't last long, PE Portfolio stands out. This will definitely be in my daytime-office rotation.
It is definitely not like those nice comfortable smell that an old millionaire has, but it does have a nice clean youthful smell. In comparision to classics like Davidoff's cool water, this smell is little too simple. One may be tempted to identify one citrus fruit, where as in Davidoff's one can not. If you can get it at a discount store and if you are under 30, I would say give it a try. It is an experience.
of a scent. great as a teen and ok as an adult. decent scent but their are better. as a kid my big bro had this and recently i received a sampler. good lavender and amber fragrance but not a masterpiece. under 25 crowd will adore it though.
Don't get this cologn if you don't wanna feel sick smelling it..it smells nice at first, but after awhile the sensual side of it gives me a headache...just not the right combo of fragrances..
I bought this cologne by mistake and I decided to give it a chance and when I wore it and people got close to me they reacted as though I was "Pepe LePew". All I heard was Le Pew!
THIS COLOGNE IS SO GOOD THAT NOTHING SHORT OF MASTERPIECES CAN GO IN THIS "PORTFOLIO". ONE OF PERRY'S BEST.
Bought it as a father's day gift for my boyfriend and I love it! Everytime he wears it I just want to eat him a live!!! Guys ladies will fall at your feet wearing this!! GET IT!!
Its a good male fragrance
good enough
I only got the chance to smell Perry Ellis Portfolio in the store, but I think it's far too much like Perry Ellis' other cologne, Reserve.
This is not a clasic, but is good for office wear
Not as bad as the other reviews suggest. It has a rather distinctive sweet, citrusy smell. This and Portfolio Elite are two of the more Dynamic colognes I've tried, meaning they smell different from first spray to several hours. Not bad at all.
Perry Ellis has less insight into Men's fragrance than Calvin Klein, if that is humanly possible. This stuff is OK for a High-Schooler, but no fragrance-addict worth his salt would touch it with Gene Simmon's tongue. As in literature, learn from the classics.....
<- - - agrees with meboi did someone find this a medicine cabinet
A horrible fragrance...a mistake on my part. Has a sickening smell.
An almost citrus like fragrance. A rather reasonable buy.
