  • MARK M04/06/2014

My favorite and my girl loves it on me. Not overpowering like some brands. Reminds me of tropical fruit and spice...Spring comes to mind...five stars from this guy

  • SAI KRISHNA TEJ REDDY09/21/2009

this is one of my fav fragrance,i love lemony scents this being at the top, this is such a classy scent mainly lemony and bergomat in the opening and the middle and base notes containing a whole lot of spicies and woods, its a spicy with a beautiful potrayal of citrus which is hard to find in others and is truly a classic and sophisticated scent the main drawback being its not good longevity

  • RUSS09/12/2008

This is the best cologne for grownups who are tired of the ultra fruity colgnes aimed at the 20's market.

  • JAY-D 04/13/2008

This is a great masculine cologne I can understand why some have said that it is too lemon and vinager smelling but when it dries down and settles on the skin it is totaly different, it is very masculine unlike most armani colognes today. It lasts also. You may not smell it strongly after an hour but others will notice it and it is not too over powering top of the line nothing smells the same. If you are looking for somthing different this is it.

  • TONY T06/05/2007

image is simple kinda frseh scent. not a good one at that. i am not big on cerruti's work.

  • DARRSHAN05/31/2007

this happens to be my 1st fragrance which i bought away in 1996, and after that i have worn many fragrances, but as on date this is the most sophasticated stuff from the great armani.

  • TAJSMELLSGOOD05/11/2007

you are right on time for your brother. I have never smelled 1881, but can you give me any insight on Image? I know it has a fancy bottle and Ive seen its pyramid. Let me know if it smells like anything else or what class it is in. I love those great smelling, under-rated fragrances. Is this one of them?

  • MATT P. K.12/21/2006

To me, nice but European in the sense of being women's-perfumey (if you can understand what I mean). Kind of exciting in that regard, but...

  • HANNAH06/10/2006

This stuff is horrible! They sell this in the department stores all over Tulsa. It's crap! Do yourself a flavor and buy a bottle of Heinz White Vinegar. But better yet buy Phermone by Marilyn Miglin or Aramis's Devin or Tuscany colognes from Perfume Emporium!

  • TONY T04/21/2006

smell hauntingly similiar. eau savage is stronger and lasts longer so you be the judge.

  • KENNETH V. RICHELIEU11/29/2005

There's nothing like the smell of the luxury and sophistication of good ol' classic Armani.

  • FRANK10/07/2005

my wife bought this for me. very clean. Please keep it in stock it is very hard to find thxs.

  • MARIO JUSTINIANI06/14/2005

A nice citrus/floral that's inoffensive and ultiamately simply . . . well, nice. That's about it. Romantic? I think not. Outstandingly elegant? Nope. Nice, pleasant, and a bestseller that's become the Aramis of its generation.

  • HAFEEZEA04/14/2005

IT IS A WONDERFUUL PERFUME ;BUT SO WEAK NOT LASTING-IS NOT THERE ANY METHOD TO MAKE IT MORE STRONG.

  • RAUL01/18/2005

This cologne is one of the best, but the only problem is that the scent last only minutes.

  • E-DIDDY01/17/2005

This one's been around forever and the sales seem to indicate that it's still popular but it's just a generic, heavy, alcohol-overflowing potion, reminds me of 60+ yr old folks trying conceal their lack of showering. Doesn't compare to any other Armani fragrances.

  • ALVIN11/14/2004

This is one of my fav perfume, but it don't seem to last long enough.

  • R.J.11/03/2004

A ROMANTIC RAPTURE FOR THE LADIES.

  • PAULA10/11/2004

My bf smelled absolutely delicious like always..and i asked him what he was wearing...well it was Armani ofcourse....ohhhh it is absolutely devine, i love having him around cuz he just smell so gooood..the best

  • JULZZ09/19/2004

GAH! i love this cologne soooo much, everytime my boyfriend wears it i go burzurk! love love love! okay...enough now..bye

  • W.B.06/29/2004

A NICE LEMONY SCENT THAT SHOULD BE USED STRICTLY FOR ROMANTIC OCCASIONS FOR THE SHORT LIFE THAT IT HAS. IT SERVES IT'S PURPOSE VERY WELL WITHOUT ANY COMPLAINTS. THANKS A MIL, ARMANI.

  • STAVROS06/22/2004

what can i say for this excellent fragrance apart from being THE all time classic cologne.Simply excellent

  • ALEXANDER06/15/2004

This cologne is very fresh indeed. Unfortunately, it lingers off too fast (at least on my skin). I prefer EDT that evolves over time. This Armani somewhat fails to unfold its characteristics. It's too boring for me. My friend told me that this is the best for him. Unfortunately, it's only an average for me.

  • ROB02/23/2004

Good old fashioned sweet lemon smell, a good alternative to the feminine scents most common today. Needs to be stronger to be perfect.

  • ADOLFO02/23/2004

    tres elegance

  • KIKY02/16/2004

there's always somethin' bout Armani. it's just so irresistable... adore men in Armani....one of my fave...in my toplist

  • KIKY02/16/2004

    Armani rules...

  • GIAN FROM BRAZIL01/21/2004

This perfume is fantastic, but doesn´t last long. Disapear in few minutes.

  • SILVRMN01/06/2004

I've used this more or less exclusively since it was introduced. I don't find it overpowering as do some apparently. In fact, I've had many comments that it's almost undetectable unless someone comes within a foot or two. What I like best about it, though, is the way it smells on my skin after a couple hours. Perhaps it's the personal chemistry or something, but the clean, masculine scent lingers until the next day's shower. (I used to wear Royale Lyme for a similar "clean" scent, but it dissipated very quickly.)b

  • CEDRIC12/26/2003

Very elegant and masculine scent. One of the better fragrances for men. Can't go wrong with this one.

  • GURPREET SINGH10/10/2003

lasts more than acqua di gio. i just love it. just buy a jaguar car to match this!

  • MGARIS06/25/2003

I love Aramni suits and coats, but not this fragrance. It has a strange finish . . . reminds me of 6-12, mosquito repellent, from wayyy back. Something wrong here.

  • TONY BOLOGNA06/21/2003

I loved this stuff when smelling it in the mall, and I finally got a little bottle and tried it on I instantly felt like my grandfather. It's classy stuff but smells way too much like the lemon flavored Pledge with which I clean my coffee table.

  • ALEX FROM BRAZIL04/13/2003

If you are wearing a suit from Saville Row and a matching tie that cost as much as 3.3 oz bottle of Aramani, this fragance is the PERFECT companion. The gentleman's choice. For those who posses good taste and low profile elegance.

  • ARNOLD R. 03/01/2003

I can see that this stuff might be easy to overdo on application. It starts with a very strong, "lemon fresh" scent (literally), that's kind of like a more masculine version of Acqua di Gio. Less refined, more raw. And it also has this peppery (masculine) drydown that I don't remember Acqua having. It would be good to have a bottle of this around as a kind of "palette cleansing" cologne, if you know what I mean. Seems like it's perfect for office/casual/daytime wear. This is going to sound weird, but it kind of smells to me a little bit like a lemony Grey Flannel (Geoffrey Beene 1976), with a much better drydown on my skin than Grey Flannel had. But it is a little too quick for me. The drydown, I mean. Not bad, but it's just that it starts off so strong and powerful (which I like), you'd think that it'd have a little bit more staying power than it's got. I'm not saying it evaporates altogether like Jovan Musk, but it quickly devolves into "personal space" cologne. I wish it stayed a bit more powerful for a bit more time. All in all though, I have to say this stuff is pretty good. If you like Acqua di Gio (and good God man, don't we all?), then give Armani's older one a go, you might like it just as much.

  • JOE D.02/04/2003

I thought this was going to be one of those poseur scents akin to the line of crap put out by Calvin Klein, but much to my surprise it turns out the stuff is top notch. A very elegant Saturday night kind of scent that still fits in perfectly at the office. Really quite nice and worth the sticker price. For you cologne snobs, this is another keeper. I keep it on the same shelf as all my Givenchy and Guerlain (and next to my Rochas Man), so you have to know I respect it!

  • OLATZ02/03/2003

I believe this is the very first Armani fragrance. It is so perfect. I don't care for any of the other scents that Armani has done since. I bought it for my husband ten years ago. He loves it and I filch some from his dresser every once in a while. It is absolutely delicious.

  • LAURI01/31/2003

I think Armani is good and it could be a good present for my grandfather, but its not for me.

  • TACHYON STALLION01/16/2003

Pretty strong stuff. I wouldn't wear this every day, but for formal occassions.

  • AARON V.01/10/2003

I Guess it's okay but it is very musky. Not the best but a classic.

  • DEJAN12/30/2002

The best Armani perfume. Classic, nice smell, just not too lasting.

  • JEZ12/02/2002

I've bought bottle after bottle...it has to be one of the freshest smells on the planet - a kind of 'man's Eau de Lancome'. I'd also recommend trying Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte & the new Mugler Cologne.

  • CTG11/20/2002

I ALWAYS get compliments on this from women It is pretty strong at first but fades fast to the "personal space" strength. So when a lady is close she notices it.

  • NICHOLAS P.05/06/2002

Really sophisticated and classy scent. This is one of those colognes you want to use when you are well dressed, and not something you spray on when you are wearing shorts.

  • MEMBOI2404/09/2002

Too strong and overpowering. I found the scent gives me a headache.

  • JEAN-YVES01/24/2002

A real man's cologne, not some pimp stench-water.

  • FASHION GURU05/30/2001

This scent is not bad. It's very similar to the Lacoste. It's elegant, and somehow has this Business casual scent. I'd give it a 7 out of 10

  • DAVID05/14/2001

The smell is fine, but doesn't last long.

  • BOB04/26/2001

Light / citrus overtones - not overwhelming, received several compliments about the scent.

  • MIKE01/26/2001

Dont reccomend this giorgio armani one, kinda peppery and overpowering. Being so satisfied with acqua di gio and emporio I almost bought this one on impulse. luckily i sampled it first.
