First of all, 1000 does not contain violet, or if it does, only in a very minimal amount. As for Violettes Precieuses, this is a great fragrance. For someone who finds most violet scents too cloying and candy-sweet, this is wonderful. It's more green, woody, with the violet just peeking through. A tiny bit spicy and powdery too. Very unique scent, like most of the Carons.

Have you tried 1000 by Patou? It is a violet dominated fragrance, and lovely.

I do believe I have finally found my HG fragrance. Violette Precieuse is like a breath of spring on my skin - not terribly sweet, and darkly (but gently) spicy. The violet accord seems to spring out from light greenery surrounded by something that hints of lavender. I am in love. On me, this scent works. If you love violets, take this one for a test drive. Maybe it will work for you, too. On another note - Perfume Emporium's fast delivery and superb packaging deserve a hearty round of applause as well. :)

I'm sure you will love "April", by Vittorio & Luccino. It's a non stinky with lily, jasmin and freesia. Great for springtime. You won't know if there is a perfume or a fresh cut flower.

Try one of the "bouquet flowers" of Pupa, the violet one. The only note it has is violet. If you want a fragance with more notes, you should try "J' adore",by Christian Dior.

looking for a non-stinky scent with jasmine, lily of the valley,and maybe hyacinth. Is there one? (don't like Jasmal)

mandy - an excellent violet perfume is Violeta de Parma. all violets, no stinky mix in it

does anyone know what this smells like? I want a perfume with top violet notes.
