GREAT HIGH QUALITY SMELL FROM ARMANI. LOYALTY TO THE KING!

Mania is a great scent that reminds me of cedar wood. I haven't smelled anything similar so I think it's pretty unique. It doesn't last too long and I've never received a compliment on it but I love it anyway. I've read it's recommended fr night use but I think it's more of an office scent.

the scent is great. it is actually lasting but you won't or one won't be able to notice or smell it because it is just so weak. You need to bring your nostrils down to where you applied it. Again it lasts but one can barely notice it. So what's the point???

This is a great parfum for men! I love the scent it is very clean and fresh. It immidiately blended with my own scent and I barely notice it. But it is there! No doubt. I recommend all should use Acqua De Gio, so you don't make this one an overused scent!!! ;)

What does this scent classify into? Is this what is supposed to be fougere? Or woody? Because I think this is leathery-woody. How does fougere smell? Give me names please?

Never have I got so many comments about how good I smell! The only problem is, I keep running out, No local Stores have this pacticular Armani, I've tried Code, and Gio, not even close.

Fresh citrusy/woody Armani hit is the best right next to his CODE and topping the overly worn AdG for me.

This is the best perfumes i ever used, i really do love the scene, but as for me i need to spray it for 2 or 3 times a day, cos the smells for me it doesnt last long. Well i just kinda confused is it just me, or you guys did experience the same problem with me?.

I took a small bottle of this stuff with me on a 9 week trip to Europe last summer. Loved it so much I purchased the larger bottle when I got back. Everytime I put it on I have instant flashback memories...mmmmmm Polish & Czech girls!!!

This isn't the best Armani scent. Rather overrated if you ask me. Smells like a much weaker Platinum Egoiste by Chanel. Fresh, with plenty of woodsiness. The longevity is terrible for this fragrance. Emporio is still the best.

I like Emporio, but it has a fruity, youthful, yet classy smell to it. I have had numerous opportunities to buy it but I have gone with other fragrances that are in the same family of Emporio. I would look at D&G pour homme before I went with Emporio. Just my humble opinion.

I guess I agree with you guys. Mania is more professional and casual than black code, and can be worn daily to work (like Aqua). All the Armani's are great though. You can't go wrong if you buy an Armani. What you guys say about Emporio then?

I would agree with W.B. on black code would be best for CLUBBING, DATING, ROMANTIC, but be careful because a lot of people are wearing Black Code like they are wearing Le Male. Keep that in mind when deciding on what to go forward with. I would recommend going with 360 white, which smells just like Le Male but at a fraction of the cost.---- On Mania, I give this an excellent rating because it is a classy fragrance that is could for casual and professional settings. It has a real subtle smell to it that is long lasting. Overall you can't go wrong with any Armani fragrance, but I would get Mania over any of them.

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GO WITH BLACK CODE FOR EVENING WEAR(CLUBBING, DATING, ROMANTIC). MANIA WOULD BE FOR BUSINESS MEETINGS, CHURCH, FUNERALS, OR JOB INTERVIEWS. ANYWAY, TAKE CARE.

For daytime/casual, Aqua di Gio is the way to go. For evening(wherever - club, bar, dinner, etc), which armani is the best? Mania or Black Code?

i love this on my boyfriend... even i know his ex was the one who introduced and first bought it for him...

i love it! it definetly attracts the ladies! lol it has a fresh & sexy feel to it. it doesnt have that alcohol-strong scent, its very clean, crisp...just fresh. it makes me feel warm & cuddly every time i smell it. im so in love with it! lol i recommend it for all guys

I got a sample of this and gave it to my bf. He doesn't wear cologne normally but he wore it one day for a job interview. It smelled so clean yet so sexy. I just bought a whole bottle for him and asked him to spray more often for me to enjoy.

if you must have an armani get adg or black code imo. this stuff is ok but overpriced for a citrus.better luck going with le roy soleli.

With it's unique notes, I was expecting something different but overall it's quite modern and sophisticated. Not the best Armani but at least this one isn't worn to death.

This is the cologne that Jack Nicholson wears. It may have been made for him. The other cologne he's worn is Bijan for Men.

Another great creation from Giorgio Armani. I lasts a decent time and it smells like cashmere or some kind of fabric. I really like it and it gets me all warm and comfy whenever I wear it. Definetly not for clubbing.

Of all the fragrances I've worn from Giorgio, this one is one of the less interesting ones. It seems too flat and needs more kick to it.

I remember smelling this in an issue of Men's Health fold out and thought "wow". I liked it better in the magazine than I do me....but it's alright.

Having tried a 0.03 oz sample, Mania is a good smell, but a bit weak. I find it to last the day in one's personal space. It smells a lot like the less expensive CK Be with a pencil lead note. I would not pay the price for Mania, but was given an offer to buy 50 ml at next to not nothing. Maybe give as gift to snobby son-in-law.

I bought a mini 2 try n girls love it. they say it smells real manly & fresh. must work well with my skin or something ...

I'm surprised to read so many bad reviews. I have been wearing Mania for a couple years now and I love it! It kind of reminds me of Aqua but more woodsy and subdued. The cedar/light vetiver notes give it an unusual yet classy aura that always makes me feel like I should be wearing a black velvet suit. I also swear I can smell Bergamot, which smells so good I want to cry. It's simple and clean, yet unusual and entrancing. My only complaint is that it nearly vanishes after the dry down...so I end up having to spray myself like five times, which I try to do a little while before I head out so I am only overwhelming myself. BTW If you have an opinion, explain yourself so that others can understand WHY they might like or dislike the fragrance themselves.

To answer your question regarding Acqua vs. Mania - the two are totally different scents. I like Acqua, but I consider that more for the office or casual daytime. Mania is very sexy and drives me crazy...I'm surprised that a lot of men don't like it. My boyfriend hated it, and I'm so disappointed!! I absolutely LOVE this cologne. I didn't expect Armani can produce such unsuccessfull perfume; it smells normal and it last only for less than 1 hour. This is my first time I failed buying remarkable perfume ....!

I bought this cologne instead of Miracle, when both debuted. I was lucked out. Mania doesnt last but the 15 minutes I was in the mall. Ladies never commented on it either. so it sucked. smelled good at first..shouldve bought Miracle!

Nothing special in my book. If it wasn't Armani, there wouldn't be such a fuss made about it.

Usually I don't like very deep woody type scents but this one is different. What you can expect to smell is an orange-like scent that mixes well with the woody base, very fresh. I don't give many fives but if I could rate this, it'd be somewhere between 4 and 5.

Geranium, Did you ever think that maybe it wasn't the cologne that had a problem attracting women to you? I hate it when people think that a bottle of cologne is supposed to do magic...however, this one does it for me. I bought some for my husband and I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Scent seems to be built around some kind of central softness that makes it too feminine. A sort of milky theme hard to define..

I will put it this way: This has nothing to offer, but the great name, and nice looking bottle. If you think the scent itself is anyhow special, I can`t understand you.

Mania is great! I first sampled this sent in STUFF magazine. Once I smelled it, my mind was made up. Armani...What is your next project?

Very smooth and romantic smell.....For the mature and sophisticated man....For the professional man.

Mania reminds me a lot of Zanzibar, from Van Cleef. Same freshness on top, pepper at the finish. It's nice, but I think Zanzibar is quieter and more refined. There's a NU one out, from YSL that is so great . . . it's NU for Men. Let's hope the 'emporium' get hold of it, soon. Talk about fresh . . . mmm . . . pepper, orchid, and incense, too.

That's how I would expain this scent. After that it's tough to explain. It was kind of weird at first but then I cam to my scences...what was I thinking?! This is awesome stuff. It's not a steady scent, it seems to make different smell effects on me. It's really awesome.

Another fine product from Armani, this cologne is one of the more interesting scents I have encountered. The bottle alone makes it a must buy, with its classy design. The perfect spray for a night on the town, or a relaxing drive in the country, this is a must buy for the arrogant man wanting to smell expensive.:)

I have Mania woman, and I liked it so much I decided to surprise my husband with this one; he loved it, but I was unprepared for just how much it would turn me on to smell it on him! I could barely stand to be civil in public... suffice it to say, he goes nowhere without wearing it, particularly to bed.

I have never experienced a cologne which had such a wonderful top note only to be let down by a basenote which compares best to Johnson & Johnson baby powder - and the baby powder smells better! 2 stars only because of the first 15 minutes, I am glad I didn't purchase this cologne...

YES, this is exactly how I want my cologne. This is perfect because: 1) Very unusual, interesting and incredibly nice smell, 2) It has long lasting power and at the same time it is not too strong, 3) Aesthetically nice bottle. It has ... class, just like the cologne has. 4) Even the "sprinkler" is great. (NO JOKE!) Only slight drawback is it's popularity. Oh well, it is worth that. The best cologne available with Emporio Lui as a good second.

Mania reminds of the smell I used to always get a whiff of in the parking lots of Dead shows...a little orange, a little sandalwood, and perhaps a little citrus, but a real nice combination. Giorgio Armani usually makes real nice colognes except for maybe emporio armani (the black bottle) which I think is boring.

I used to be a huge fan of Hugo but my man wears this and it drives me crazy!! He is anything but a sell out crowd pleasing sheep like the people y'all think this stuff's for. If you notice all the gals gave it a thumbs up. And as for the guy who thinks it smells like bug repellant, I guess this just wasn't made for your body chemistry!!!

While I was skeptical of Mania due to all the hype, I am affraid I will have to add to it! This is just a terrific fragrance, and in my opinion, Armani's best.

at first when you spray this...it smells sorta strong. but after a few seconds, you start to smell the notes under it. it smells very good. its light yet very masculine. up there with emporio and acqua. actually...i think its ever better.

It's quite a sophisticated smell. A very masculine scent which won't scare of the ladies and wouldn't give your friends a headache. Last quite long as well.

All about the selling to the masses. Ohhhhhhh Giorgio Armani...oh it's so upscale!!!! Whatever, Armani is a total sell out just like Calvin Klein and so on. Armani is done. Stuff like this is made by apprentices while Gio sits on his yacht in the mediterranean sippin' on a wine and looking over his stock portfolios laughing all the way to the bank. It's not a bad scent, but not memorable. Just made to appeal to the broadest range of people. Nothing against anyone that wears this, please, but I'd be willing to bet that you are far from original. You know, a crowd-pleaser. Not that there is anything wrong with it. I'm sure some cool people wear this. But I'm also pretty sure I'm right.

Mania is beautifully subtle yet unmistakenly attractive to women.

This fragrance is okay on some, but there's nothing even remotely great about it. Beware before buying.

I am staring to see what kind of colognes are out there so I tried Mania because i figured that not too many people would be wearing it. I can't decide if i like it. Right away it smells fine but then towards the end of the day it seems like it smells too spicey. If any of you guys know of some really good colognes that smell masculine but not too spicey and the girls like it, such as Drakkar Noir, Eau de Gio and Eternity, let me know. I saw this at the mall. Saw the poster add for it and went to the counter and tried it. Wow this is good. IT's hard to describe this scent so you'll have to try it out yourself. Is it pronounced "mania" or "maneea" ?
