Very pretty light perfume. It takes you back to a more genteel era. I will be ordering another bottle as I gave it away as a present. The only negative is that you have to keep reapplying it.
I just love the perfume; but I wish it would linger a bit longer.
I would love to smell this, violets don't usally appeal to me but this and violetta di parma sound as if they are very nice, without the violet's candy-sweetness I dislike. I wish they sold violetta di parma here.
Sharrie, just wanted you to know I am enjoying all your posts, love the descriptions of all the fragrances you love, they are very passionate, keep'em coming!
like laying in a bed of violettes in the summertime. i adore this bottle and perfume.wonderful and timeless
Hi, Arthur. Our Violetta di Parma is still alive! We are always manufactring it. Perhaps it is no more distributed in your country but you can find it in Ecuador.
like laying in a field of violets o a summer day
I have but a tiny bottle of this and would give up one of my children for a huge bottle. The best violet scent I've found.
Can you believe I found 2 bottles of the Violetta di Parma body lotion and one of the bath gel at a discount outlet? ("You Should Go") I love this scent.
You are very welcome, Pia! I would think of Bouquette di Violetta as an evening scent. In answer to your question, I feel it's richer and deeper than Violetta di Parma; you would easily pick up the violet theme in it, but there are other flower notes present, as well. Violetta di Parma, on the other hand, is light, easy to wear, and to my way of thinking a perfect round-the-clock spring and summer scent.
Meg, thanks for info on Bouquet di violette. I almost purchased it thinking it was Violetta di Parma in a new bottle. Violetta di Parma is my favorite scent for the spring and summer, i love it. Your testimonial that your mom loves Bouquet di Violette is tempting me to try it as well. How similar are the two? How much of the violet can one pick up in the Bouquet de Violette? Thanks for your response. Happy Spring!
Arthur - Violetta di Parma is not the same scent as Bouquette di Violetta by Borsari. Both are still being produced in Italy but I have no idea whether they are imported to the United States on a regular basis. It may be worth your while to try and search for them on the internet. And yes I agree, Violetta di Parma is a wonderful scent, no wonder you have fond memories of it! It is a light fragrance which I would think of as a daytime scent, and very endearing.
Lovely scent. I bought this for my mother, who adores perfumes with violets as their main theme. I find it so enchanting that I may yet get another just like it for myself!
I am assuming this is the same as the Violetta di parma by Borsari which i love in a new configuration(bunch of violets shaped crystal bottle). The scent is absolutely beautiful!
I love this scent and bought it for my mother, since she adores scents which have violets as their central theme. This is surely one of the best. I find it light, sweet but not overly so, romantic, dignified, and completely natural in the sense of not containing a whiff of some sort of synthetic component, which so many scents seem to have these days. However it is not a unique flower perfume and has other notes to it, beautifuuly combined with the violets but not overshadowing them; white roses, iris, hyacinth, muguet and possibly a touch of vetiver. A very clean scent, pretty and enchanting. My mother says it's guaranteed to make you feel young, whatever your age!
When a young man, I used to give my mother a perfume named Violeta di Parma. It was common here in San Paolo, Brasil. Now I have learned that it doesn´t exist any more. Is that true? Where I can find it? Thanks. Arthur
