I've used this product for years and love it!!!!
I have been a "BRITISH STERLING" customer for 48 years, since i was just 17 yr. old; I'm still using it. I'm 66 yrs. old, I love it, sometimes friends ask me, What!!! is that "Cologne" ? I smile and say to them it's "BRITISH STERLING". Even at the STORE Malls, the young women like the smell!!!! Thank You,
outstanding
I have used this cologne for years. Once sold in Department stores. Now I have to order it on line. This is a super value cologne.
please bring this fragrance back
Do you have any idea where I can find Bitter Lemon by British Sterling. I have looked everywhere for quite awhile. Any help would be appeciated. Thank you
I really like the British Sterline Bitter Lemon Cologne, but have not been able to find it anywhere. Can you please tell me of anyone that still carries it.
I used to love Bitter Lemon when I was younger. Have any of you found it lately.
i agree with an ealier reveiw. it use to last a lot longer. i started using it in the eighth grade and i now 55. could you please go back to the old formula when it was brown instead of light green like the aftershave?
What a great sleeper (these days) scent! Not an ozonic, watery note to be found, yay! I've been trying out old-school "masculine" scents lately because 1) I am sick of all these newer scents smellisg the same and 2) I don't let a gender assigned to a scent deter me from trying it! British Sterling starts out with a hit of Butter Rum Lifesavers seguing into a very ambery, chypre scent. Very refined and elegant- doesn't scream, "I am wearing scent!" As for longevity, well, it's only cologne scent- can't expect it to last all day. However, reapplying is not a problem as it can be had at an exteremley low price. I wish men my age would rediscover the classics- it would be much appreciated!
I've been exploring classic men's fragrances lately and ordered some British Sterling on a whim. When I first put it on I got a whiff of "Butter Rum" flavored LifeSavers! It was not unpleasant, but unexpected! It dried down to a soft ambery fragrance, slightlly sweet, but not overpowering. I only wish it lasted longer, was only for a about 1 1/2 hours, but as it's only cologne strength that's to be expected. Try it- you won't be sorry!
In the late 60's this was a great cologne. It seems to be watered down now and will last only a couple of hours.
This stuff is awsome. At work my co-workers I spray it on each other as a joke. The Sterling rules.
I could never really quite define or be impressed by this stuff. Very generic in my opinion.
It has been awhile since I last used it, but from what I remember, it was a great scent that in my opinion was well suited for office wear due to its sophistication. This has a fresh clean scent best described as floral and fruity with some musk thrown in there.British Sterling is best used in moderation. I think the ladies may like it, but this is like I said a better go to work suit and tie business type cologne. I am going to give this an excellent score because it is a good all around cologne, and not too many colognes are like that.
My father actually owns this cologne that my mother had bought for him not long ago and I decided to sample for kicks. To my surprise, this refined spicy lavender & citric fragrance isn't bad at all especially for it's exceptionally low price. This is definitely more suitable for the 40 and older crowd of gents.
Triumph Bonneville, Worn Levi's, This stuff is timeless, I remember when it was expensive!! Like Polo by Ralph lauren when I was in college.... I remember the 1960's Friday night football games as a child, the stadium smelled of the stuff!!!
British Sterling cologne is easy to find, inexpensive, and smells great. I also like the fact that it's good, strong stuff and a little in the morning will last you all day.
Fresh and masculine - I love it and the ladies love it, too. Too bad it isn't very long lasting...
It's my favorite cologne. I'm a young female, but I wear it anyway, I love it so much. I think it's the only fragrance I would deem acceptable on a man.
British Sterling is a very good cologne. It is crisp and refreshing. The aroma is very clean and not overpowring. I think it is excellent. One of the very best, if not the very best, on the market.
MY WIFE WON'T LET ME WEAR ANYTHING ELSE!!! I WOULDN'T WANT TO! VERY NICE !!!!! I'VE USED THIS FOR YEARS!!!!
44, been using for 23 years and have had nothing but good comments. No problems with the ladies either.
Should stay in Britain. I got this back in the early 80's for a grab bag gift, rewrapped it and gave it away. It to this day is probably being rewrapped and regiven away like Holiday Fruitcakes noone really likes. Ugghh.
