I would still like to be able to but the original Jil Sander fragrances.
Is there any way I can get my hands on this perfume ??? I'm down to 3 squirts ! thx.
Jil smells gourmand on me, like anise cookies, although I'm not sure there's actually any anise in this formulation. It's probably the vanilla and citrus notes that are contributing to that impression, at least as it smells on my body chemistry. On me, it's a little too sweet for everyday wear, but for special occasions it makes quite an impression.
best for me forever. This one, sun, angel, 5th avenue and brberry london. The best fragrances.
My husband is looking for a cologne that she had out about for about 5 to 8 years ago. We are looking for your product the name of the product is MAN. He loves it and I want to suprise him with it. Thank You Denise
I just got my Jil, after having tested it a few times to be sure. It starts off very fresh, like fresh cut grass, and calms down to a kind of raspberry/caramel/jasmine kind of scent. The dry down is awesome, and smells of sandalwood, caramel and tonka. If you find angel and wish a bit much but love the mellow sweetness, this will be perfect for you. The top notes are lavender, clary sage, raspberry. The heart notes are jasmin, iris and rosewood with caramel. The base notes are amber, tonka, vanilla and precious woods. Light and elegant with a dry down like a second skin. I think it would be suitable for all occassions and seasons, with the exception of very hot, humid weather. I love it!
Like Versace Dreamer with sin in it. If you like Angel for evening, you'll love this for day. If you like Pleasures for day, I you'll probably like this for on-the-prowl wear. I can only imagine the obscurity of this scent is due to the great wave of likeminded scents that appeared around the same time. a goodie that you can keep all to yourself!
I got mine Jil today! I must say it is a wonderful parfum sweet but not average, classic .I also like aromatiq elexir, angel and calyx all of them is something special!
I think I put too much. It is an intensely sweet sweet perfume that is quite potent - so a little goes a long way. One squirt is enough. However, I found it so sweet my teeth ached. Let's say that this is not in my top ten.
I love this fragrance. I was looking for a new signature after years of wearing Acqua di Gio. Very different. It's a woody oriental. I found information on it. Top notes: lavender, violet, raspberry Heart notes: cedar, vetiver, fir, sandalwood Base notes: ambergris, vanilla
A friend of mine had brought me the fragrance JIL from Germany a few years back. I just loved it so much, I went on to search and found out about JIL's other fragrances. I now owned them all. Thank God I love them all.
I got this for my mom last Mother's Day, because it is was one of the only fragrances I could find with lavender in it. She absolutely loves it! It's a little too aromatic and strong for me. I think it's definitely for someone older. Not very sexy, just very adult.
To Chris, I must have been in Germany same time as you, and fell in love with Jil Sanders fragrances, favorite of mine is "Woman Two" and Pure Woman, perhaps they no longer carry this fragrance?? However, I'm trying to find it. Please share with me your source if you locate before I, and I will do the same. It's simply unique, is it not??
Really good, and one of mens favourite...
As far as I can smell this deffinitely IS sweet and fruity fragrance. In my opinion it is casual fragrance, nice but not specially distinctive/sophisticated. Good, but nothing special. Too fruity for my taste.
okay these people must be leaving remarks about something other than Jil because it is by no means sweet or fruity. If you like patchouli this fragrance is for you
I agree that this is a different fragrance. I only purchased the body creme which was at a discount store and could not believe my eyes at the price....so I got the only two that was in the store! 6.7 oz. jars of perfumed body cremes! It has a wonderful scent, long lasting and yes I do mix some fragrances with this creme and you can come up with some wonderful scents! Be cautious in mixing!
Apparently Jil was the first 'aromatic woody oriental,' a new category. To me that describes it well; pretty darn far from 'sweet,' imho! All the other fragrances from Jil Sander (s0 far) do seem too sweet for me and don't work at all. But this has a distinctive, lasting, unusual 'presence' that isn't insistent or overwhelming. I think it's an all-season fragrance, and for me it's been especially good for dinner, concert, ballet, opera -- any place you'll be sitting a fairly long time next to the same few people who might be offended or perhaps get sensitized into sneezing fits by a stronger scent. For as subtle as Jil is, though, it manages to last a LONG time on me, something I appreciate as at my age I must carry more than enough things in my purse already, never mind fragrance reappplications! As for notes, I've seen several different lists for Jil, but all seem to contain the following in either top, middle, or base : lavender, herbs, violet, raspberry, cedar, fir, vetiver, amber, vanilla, tonka, and occasionally something called 'kephalis' (whatever that is).
Too sweet and too fruity, but I think it's nice for very young girls!
Smells like you could eat it! Bold.
Must find this eau de toilette, hope its still available, ive keept the bottle for 10 years. first got it in germany!!!
