...I guess! In a good way. Tested it recently for the heck of it and was suprised at how well it smelled on me. I threw the old bottle that was given to me as a present away after a few spritzes. Old favorites no longer work. I'll have to re-evaluate fragrances soon. I'll stock the old favorites upside-down in the dark for a while and accept that, at least for now I can't wear them. I just can't see a pattern at all in which fragrances work with my chemistry and which don't. There's no common thread. I don't feel it's safe enough to buy this one yet but I'll accept it if given to me as a gift.
Most importantly, I feel beautiful when I wear this perfume because it is a beautiful scent. My husband also follows me around sniffing me when I wear this. He cant keep his hands to himself either! I definately reccomend this scent. You will not be disappointed.
This scent reminds me of the scent of a bouquet I carried in a wedding when I was very young~how about that !!The more I smell this, it kind of smells like Lauren but I'll go as far as to say that it smells even better. How did I miss this one until now?
Thed words sparkling and shimmery come to mind when I smell this wonderful, clean, femenine scent. I love it, by itself, or mixed to either strengthen and green, watery scent, or lighten up a spicy one. (This takes talent, I don't reccomend mixing unless you have a really good "nose") I always get asked what I'm wearing when I wear this one, and 212 Caroline Herrerra.
I can describe this perfume as one of the most boring ones. I usually like it once a year, and only for a few minutes. It just gets too boring and cheap smelling soon, but as an air freshener it works pretty well, not on my skin...
I don't kow why they would want to discontinue such a wonderful & splenid scent-it lingers, people always ask what are you wearing???
I don't know why people think this is a safe gift. I suppose they think it's safe because it completely lacks character in my opinion. It does nothing for me, my senses or mood. It reflects no sides of my personality which I like a scent to do. That's btw. a new criteria I have for scents. I'm becoming really choosy and discriminating.
I (and everyone I know) absolutely LOVE Splendor! How often do you find a fragrance that TRULY smells like a bouquet of fresh-picked flowers?! It is the most becoming and pleasant fragrance of all time--soft, feminine, elegant, fresh--and both sexes seem to agree that it is quite simply enchanting. The world of fine fragrances has suffered quite a loss with the discontinuation of Splendor. Since it has been discontinued (shame on you, Elizabeth Arden!) I am wondering if anyone has discovered a fragrance that has a similarly delicious scent, with the same fragrance notes of sweetpea, waterlily, freesia, magnolia, champagne, amber, rosewood and sandlewood. Any leads on a similar fragrance would be much appreciated! Thank you!
such a wonderful perfume, and so rare to find nowadays. so sexy, this is Fahrenheit's counterpart for women.
Nothing special about this scent... very uninteresting and uncomplex... Really nothing special! Not horrible but nothing I would ever wear...
I am a chemical sensitive person and can't sense even the "cheapest tone" to a perfume. This has none! Remember every perfume smells different on different women too! This is the only perfume I've used multiple bottles of! Got it for first time in 1998 and two years ago they said they weren't making it anymore, I've had two more bottles since then. Right now I'm having a hard time finding it again! But I love it!
Strong, nausiating, and cheapish smelling, i've been a perfume wearer for yrs and this perfume got to go, good for elderly
pretty perfume that is mostly sweetpea...so pretty!
To me this is an upbeat, sparkling floral. Very lush, aromatic flowers put together. Smells good on most women, and that makes you confident!
Ahhhhh...SPLENDOR! This scent is a contempory classic. The fragrance has a lingering essence of just the right amount of sultry sexiness and innocent sweetness. This scent comes in a lovely bottle, and it is priced right. For everyday casual use, it's perfect. It can also be worn in the evening as an alternative to a heavier scent. Splendor has a sweet smell to it, and when I am wearing Splendor, I feel very feminine. It's not musky or heavy. It's just very light and airy is the type of perfume that can easily become a person's signature scent; especially if you have an outgoing charming personality! Because that's who I associate wearing this scent, someone who is cheerful, smiley, and extroverted. It's a happy perfume! Splendor should definitely be added to your fragrance wardrobe, and will instantly became a favorite for you and everyone around you!
hey all, dont let the bottle & name deceive u. just got myself a bottle, with a lot of zeal - to my disappointment splendor has no distinctive touch to it. just like the average, cheap perfume anyone trying to be sexy would go out to buy. found it doesnt stay on for long either. i must admit it is does reveal exciting fruity/flowery notes when just sprayed, but after a few seconds it smells so disgustingly cheap. i'd say - watch it ladies. if ur trying to get a unique scent that's 'you', this'll only get u smellin like the typical wannabe glamorous highschool girl
Nice fragrance but not her best, smells like HALLOWEEN by J. DEL POZO but less sharp. RED DOOR is so much nicer. she also has a new fragrance out called PROVOCATIVE WOMEN.
Wonder if they are D/C this...got mine at Marshalls. It's very pretty, smells of sweetpea, very feminine. It does have a sharp top note, perhaps the pineapple, but it disappears quickly and you are left with a very pretty, feminine scent. I don't get "floriental" from this at all. It's definitely floral.
I would definitely buy this one again, nice clean smell that last all day and gets me lots of compliments
Splendor has been my favorite fragrance for several years and I wear it daily. Everyone comments on how nice it smells.
This does not smell very good on me at all. I don't like it. It is too flowery for me.
Careful about this one! It turns bad very quickly. You'll notice when the perfume turns a shade of yellow - this happened to me within 1 year of owning it. And the scent is too artificial for me.
Very nice scent and cost friendly :)
I bought this for my mother for mother's day. I wear it more than she does. Very sophisticated, yet still sweet and feminine.
I love it! I received many compliments while wearing this fragrance. I only wish I could purchase it in the store again. I've looked everywhere. I finally found it here and am going to purchase as many as I can afford!!
While I was visiting my sister for the weekend I chose this from her stash to spay on since I did not bring perfume with me. It was so pungent that it burned my nose it's very cedar and citrusy smelling it's not the best and I would not buy it, but luckly the fragrance dries down to a nice light floral sandalwood scent.
Pretty delicate floral...love the sweetpea...makes me feel so pretty when I spray this on...just adore this pretty perfume!
This burns my nose, it's so pungent!
Spendor is a very soft light fragrance - I wear it mainly in the summer. It is just simply smells beautiful!!
My husband LOVES this fragrance! This is the ONLY perfume I buy.
Elizabeth Arden had made some very nice fragrances but IMO, this is not one of her best. It is a very sweet, flat fragrance with no particular character to it. Her other stuff IMO is much better.
Nothing to get excited about. A really Average scent. Fresh but unsophisticated.
I got this sometime last year and it is so classy and feminine I feel like a real lady in this I am 19 and it makes me feel mature it contains sweet pea and wisteria which I don't commonly see noted on other scents I label it as unique in a good way I love sweet scents and I still enjoy this floral .
I love this perfume and people tell me how good i smell. It is a nice feminine fragrance.
I love this scent! I found it at a local discount store last summer. I bought 6 bottles for the price of 1 large bottle. Unfortunetly they are not offering it anymore. It is worth every penny!
I find this fragrance last Christmas and I love it.Splendor is a very elegant, fresh and femine.
I got the Splendor perfume last christmas 12/25/00 as a gift. It was one of the best perfume that I ever smelled.
Splender is one of the best fregrence's I have ever had. It last for a long time, and men love it.
simply beautiful.... and everyone loves it! not onli scent but the bottle as well.....
I love this scent I've been trying to find one I really like and this is it. I work in retail and have alot of men purchase this for their wives and girlfriends. I love it!
I love this fragrance! It's floral without being too strong and it doesn't have the musk or spice fragrance you get so often. You can also still smell it hours after I put it on.
Splendor is terrible, noone remembers it, noone likes it!
I wear this daily and have had nothing but the best complments on it. People walking behind me stop me and ask what I am wearing. Everyone just loves it and also they know when I am wearing something different.

I purchased this for my Mom. She is one picky lady when it comes to her scents. She loved it. I borrowed it once and receive many compliments. Its light refreshing and I love it!

My father bought me some Splendor for Christmas two years ago. I thought it smelled terrible at first, so I never wore it. I recently tried it on again, though, and it wasn't so bad. It definitely takes some getting used to. It has a hint of something--I don't know what--that I don't like. This is one that you should definitely try before you buy, and I wouldn't recommend buying it as a gift.
