I AGREE NOT MAYA-- PERFUMECHIQUITA 08/30/2005 01:45 AM NOT RATED

MESSAGE BY PERFUMECHIQUITA
Aren't you the youngest (my guess) of the Lola-Araphel-Maya trio? Usally I love all three of your posts and find them insightful. Apparently Lola and Araphel love Paloma! Perhaps it is in the nose, but 15-yr old Fendi gave me no kick-in-the-seat reaction! I percieve Paloma, Fendi and Opium as very heavy, sensous strong perfumes that one only needs a drop of. If applied heavily of course you would be covered in a cloying, clashing, brash fur-coated old lady reek! But I also believe these perfumes take a certain attitude to wear right, a strong confidence that seems to appear in women 30 -and-over. (I'm not 30, but I prefer woodsy scents and classic old perfumes, opium is too spicy for me) My mom has worn and loved perfumes like Paloma, Opium and Fendi, and I respect her for being a confident, kind, classy and diplomatic lady--and kicking theater seats while wearing raunchy furs would humiliate her, indeed!!! I don't take your post personally, but I do believe we should respect the fragrance choices people make. After all there are a 1000 perfumes and personalites of folks out there--we may not like em all but we cannot judge based on perfume alone!!! -s
