Can anyone tell me more about Bijan Black? Anything with black in it sounds always intriguing!

  • MARCY10/25/2006

I just bought Bijan Wicked because I loved the fact that it smelled so much like Jasmine with a warm drydown. However, as you wear it for awhile, it somehow ends up smelling very similar to the original Bijan for men. The only similar notes are the bergamont and the amber. My husband has been wearing the original Bijan for men for years, that is why I was able to pick up on that smell so quickly. I still like the smell of Bijan Wicked and I will continue to wear it.

Dear Readers, There is a quite good new fragrance on the market, called 'Bijan Black'. Don't be distracted by the uninventive packaging (they didn't change the bottle shape as well as the carton format since 'Bijan with a Twist'). The scent - both men's and women's - is really lovely like all Bijans and definitely worth the money. Smells spicy and dark. Kind of delicious.

Thank you SO much for writing back to me! I think some sort of chat subdivision would be an EXCELLENT idea! I just happened to check back here today and found YOUR post! Your description of the Wicked has me very intrigued indeed! And yes, i would LOVE a sample - altho by the sounds of it I think its a done deal that I would really like it. Tell you what, here is my email address: [email protected] Perhaps we can keep in touch via email and I will give you a list of the fragrances I myself own and we can swap samples? Heck, this may even be a great way of swapping bottles that if you are like me, dont get used to the entire end due to such a large and extensive collection! And, sometimes I start out loving a fragrance and somehow end up becoming bored by it. I generally perfer the more darker sensual fragrances that as Maya says will "turn heads'. My collection consists of: the original Bijan, Opium, Cinema, Baby Doll, Addict Eau Fraiche, Lolita Lempicka Midnight, Micheal Kors, Island (also by Kors), Burberry Brit, Dolce & Gabbana (red cap), Euphoria, GHost Deep Night, Intuition, Panthere, Le Baiser Du Dragon, Prada, Gucci, Jaipur, 273, Hypnose, Wonderful (by Micheal Germaine but impossible to find now). I do have some more demure scents as well like some of JLO's (Live, Glow (soap water and good for after a shower, and, Miami Glow and even her newest Love @ First GLow - which was a gift), then there's Curious which i liked at first but dont think i would repurchase, Paris Hilton's first one which is a copy of Ralph, Beautiful, Red Door Revealed - also another I would not repurchase. I have Mystere de Rochas, the original Burberry London ( i see and am excited about a new London just released) and Just by Roberto Cavalli on the way via mail order. I also want to include at some point: Narciso Rodriguez, Addict, Amor Amor, and now most likely Wicked!!! and can't wait to smell the new one by Cartier called Delices. At any rate, please do email and we shall talk more. :) Thanks again for the great review for Wicked. Talk to you soon.

Just stumbled upon your inquiry to me regarding Wicked. I had no idea you'd written in. (I really wish we posters could contact eachother through a PE chat sub-division. I've mentioned it to PE and am encouraged that other posters have requested the same thing, and they may be creating such a thing for us in the future!) Anyway, Wicked is so different than anything I own, (which is good, right?) and COMPLETELY the opposite of Bijan original (which is one of my favorites). Wicked is very ethereal in my opinion. It is soft and not overpowering; its' staying power is nothing like that of Bijan original, yet it lasts FAR better than Bijan Style. The body lotion is gorgeous and makes the scent of the EDT go further than without it. Here are some fragrances that I think would fall in the same class as Wicked: Rykiel Rose, Chaleur d'Animale, Organza First Light, Miracle by Lancome, Boss Woman, Forever by Sung, and Dunhill Desire to name a few. Of all these, Chaleur and Organza First Light are probably the closest in my opinion, but still not the same as Wicked. Wicked is described as a floral-chypre scent. I am not crazy about chypres, yet I adore Wicked. It's got a bit of "green" to it, without coming off woody or mossy. I would be happy to make a little sample of Wicked for you. Just let me know. If it's okay with you, just leave your email address or phone number or postal mailing address, so I can contact you directly to get a sample to you. I'll check back onto this message board periodically to see if you'd like me to send you a sample. Good luck with it! Thanks for writing.

Hello there. Can you compare this to some other scents out there so I have an idea of what this smells like? I have the original Bijan and love it. They dont seem to have it here in Canada...unless Maya might know where it is.

  • FRAGRANCE JUNKIE02/09/2006

Just wondering if you decided to try Bijan Wicked? The more I wear it, the more I like it. Ethereal is a good word for this fragrance. Not wicked, because I associate that term with more warm, spicy scents like Poison, etc. Even the regular Bijan is more wicked to me. And even though Wicked is soft, it does last on me far better than some fragrances. Bijan Style is one of those that, although the scent is lovely, fades really fast. If you haven't had a chance to try Wicked, I can make you a homemade sample and send it to you. Let me know. It's really unique and worth a try.

Unfortunately it is only an EDT. But imagine it as an EDP or even perfume! Then you know why it is named 'Wicked'. The EDT is very nice but not lasting very long. Somehow strange scent, but toxicating.

Hi Maya...It does seem we have very similar tastes in perfume! I know...Ghost Deep Night is AwEsOmE isn't it! Bijan Wicked does smell similar to Narciso Rodriguez when first sprayed on, but on drydown it is a very soft and I would say almost ethereal scent..hard to describe, but I like it! It is very nice, but just doesn't fit the name at all. It is nothing like the original Bijan. Email me if you would like...maybe we can swap some samples or something. My email address is: [email protected]

Hi again. Thank you for that awesome description of Deep Night. It was because of you that I had decided to give it a try and boy am I happy about that decision. That is a one awesome fragrance. I see that a lot of your favorites are my favorites too... So I was really curious to find out what you think of Bijan Wicked. The name and the bottle are saying one thing but the reviews I read here are painting a totally different picture for me. Can you compare it to any perfume at all? I love Desire, Casmir, Deep Night, Amor Amor, Presence, Initial, Ruby Lips, Samsara, Nu, Mauboussin, Madness, Omnia, Paul Smith London, Incanto Femme,Addict Dior, Hypnotic Poison, Just Cavalli, Libertine, .... Thanks a lot in advance as any comment will be greatly appreciated! Maya

  • MARY K. 09/20/2005

Okay...to me, when you first spray this one it smells very similar to Narciso Rodriguez...but then it changes. Wicked is an odd name for this one...I would have expected it to be a spicy/oriental scent. It is a nice daytime scent I believe.

  • FRAGRANCE JUNKIE09/18/2005

Wow, I really didn't think this one would turn out to be so fabulous! Read a review somewhere that was good, but indicated it wasn't strong enough. So I bought the body lotion first. That lasted very well on me so I purchased the fragrance next. I am very happy with Bijan Wicked. The smell of it is very unique, although I can't describe it. It's a complex scent to me and very lovely. A year-round fragrance, day or night in my opinion. Love it!

  • MAYA09/06/2005

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried Bijan Wicked and what it smell like? Could you compare it to any other fragrance? Thanks for anyones help!!! Maya

  • STEPHANIE A. 09/05/2005

bought this at the beach and thought it was soft, but after the drydown it does'nt smell much more than soft hairspray, for someone who likes them very faint, it smells very similar to cabaret.

  • FRAGRANCE JUNKIE09/04/2005

I just bought the lotion, because I wasn't sure if I'd like this scent. (I'd read some comments elsewhere that said it was too soft, and I tend to like strong, long-lasting scents.) Well, the body lotion is fabulous! And I can smell it for hours, so I will definitely be ordering the EDT. This fragrance is destined to become a favorite for me, if the EDT is anything like the body lotion. I love the smell of Bijan Wicked. A floral chypre they say; well whatever it is, it's beautiful indeed.
