My favourite for years

I've been using Musk by Alyssa Ashley since 1975 when i was in a store and a lady came in, someone asked her what she was wearing, it was the most pleasant scent I had ever smelt. I took note of the name and where she said she bought it, which was at one of our major perfume stores here in the Cayman Islands, and i have been wearing it ever since, unfortunately they dont carry it anymore, so every time i go to Miami, i make sure and stock up with many bottles from Walmart. Unfortunately Walmart dont carry it anymore. December 2008 i went to every Walmart in Miami, please tell me where to find 'my' perfume, if people dont even see me, they know that I am around. it is a wonderful perfume. please help

i have been trying to find this in my home town of quincy il. and the store i brought if from doesn't carry it any anymore and i want the cologn

i am so sad that this product has changed. i used to buy this product a half dozen bottles at a time. thats how much i used it. i always had people telling me how great i smelled. now i never get any comments. please bring back the old alyssa ashley musk.

Labeled as a Body Deoderant Spray this fragrance had other shoppers following me around the store to ask what fragrance I was wearing. Pink spray can w/dragon on front.

This fragrance is an absolute aphrodisiac. A woman who wears this can make me her slave. Seriously, it's my favorite store-bought female scent.

I've been using musk for years, I think about 15 years ago, there was musk by allyssa ashley in a lilac/white package. but they stopped selling it here(netherlands) who knows if this fragrance is still for sale? Please help!!!!

I have been searching for the round white bottles of the Alyssa Ashley Musk. You could always find it at the larger stores and most populary at some of the drug stores. I loved this fragrance in the hand lotion and the oil. Plain Alyssa Ashley Musk. Please where can I find it or PLEASE BRING IT BACK

Had a first baby book in the sixties"pat the bunny" with a fuzzy bunny on the cover. Had your fragrance . BRING IT BACK PLEASE!

There are 2 Alyssa Ashley White Musk products. The one that does not smell good has both the male and female symbol on the bottome left had corner. The one that smells fantastic has only the one symbol on the bottle. That is the one that is so hard to find anymore. Please bring that one back.

It is absolutely not the same formula! It use to last and last and not be so strong that it was overpowering...now it just smells rancid. So sad.

I have worn this fragrance practically my entire adult life but something has changed. People ALWAYS stopped me asking me what is was and that they loved it. Now, it has a rancid smell. I have thrown away 3 bottles in the last couple years that I have gotten for gifts because it was my favorite. It just is NOT the same. I SOOO wish they would go back to the old formulation! SOMEBODY OUT THERE LISTEN!!! WE WANT THE OLD FORMULA BACK!!!!! :)

I WEAR THIS PERFUME ALL THE TIME AND PEOPLE ALWAYS ASK ME WHAT I AM WEARING BECAUSE I SMELL SO GOOD. I EVEN GET WOMEN TELLING ME I SMELL TERRIFIC. THIS IS THE ONLY PERFUME I HAVE USED IN OVER 10 YEARS. I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE A LOT OF PERFUMES THESE DAYS SMELL LIKE BUG SPRAY AND THAT'S HORRIBLE.

Back in the sixties & seventies, musk was big. I wore it alone, but mostly mixed it with other oils. Musk is a clean scent, but to me, boring...not for me...

Ladies i agree with you. If people have not worn oils they are missing out. Used all of these, not at the same time, and get great compliments from men and women. please bring them back.

I use Musk in Oil and I loved it. But anybody who has not have the privilage of smelling Civet Oil does not know what its the best perfume ever made. I don't know why they're not making it any more. If anybody have any information about it I will apreciate it.

A lady who standing in front of me in a queue was wearing this...i thought it was okay but my hubby said "gosh that lady's perfume is stinky" ...can't please everyone I guess!

I love civet, have a little left. Can't buy it anymore. But i did find Blue by Ralph Lauren has a scent very close to it.

Maybe it has been reformulated, but something sure is missing. It is not like it used to be. A recent sniff test at a drug store confirmed this! :(

I have to agree with Kelly....I finally found this fragrance in a local store (I moved here 6 months ago) and when I used it, it most certainly did not have the same fragrance as when I was using it previously....It always had a haunting, lingering soft fragrance..........now, nothing! I would never even think of wearing another fragrance for so many years, but now.......it's just not the musk I remember.

A FEW YEARS AGO, I INQUIRED WHERE COULD I FIND THE CIVET OIL, not musk, AND IT WAS STILL BEING MADE. THE REPLY I GOT WASN'T GOOD AT ALL. THE MESSAGE SAID IT WAS DISCONTINUED!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. I USED THIS PRODUCT FOR YEARS, SINCE THE EARLY '70'S. THE LAST TIME I PURCHASED "CIVET OIL", I BOUGHT ABOUT 12 BOTTLES, FROM THE ROLL ON TO THE WAND. I ALWAYS GOT WONDERFUL COMPLIMENTS. THE CLOSEST FRAGRANCE TO CIVET OIL IS MADE BY JOVA. BUT YOU CAN ONLY GET THIS ON QVC. IT DOESN'T EVEN COMPARE TO ASHLEY'S CIVET OIL. COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU PLAN TO MARKET CIVET OIL AGAIN AND/OR WHERE I COULD PURCHASE THIS AT SOME WAREHOUSE??? PPLLEEEAAAZZZEE, TELL ME I CAN. IT'S ALSO WONDERFUL AFTER A SHOWER WHEN YOUR BODY IS STILL MOIST, 'CAUSE THE PERFUME LINGERS MUCH BETTER WITH THE "OIL" THANKS A BUNCH!!!

I bought the Alyssa Ashley musk oil. It smells nice when I sniff the bottle - but I can't smell it on me! It just disappears. Maybe others can smell it on me but I can't. I haven't received any comments other than my husband's "phew!" but he hates everything. ;-)

Musk-The best ever perfume! I've worn it for-well always! but now I have great difficulty finding it in stores. Please don't stop making it! It's my scent!

I have been using the musk oil for years but I've also notice that the perfume has a nasty smell to it now and it has for the pass few years, I don't know if they have notice the difference or if they care but I hope they read these reviews because I use to love wearing the perfume but now I only use the musk oil and the lotion which I have been using for over 20 years. I hope they spray themselves one day and realize the perfume is not the same. Don't these makers smell their products?

I have used this musk since before the name change. It use to be called Houbigant. I ALWAYS receive compliments..or did. The last several years when I get the spray, it smells rancid. My friend who knows I have ALWAYS worn it said "what are you wearing" I told her Alyssa Ashley. She stated it didn't smell the same...and I had to agree. The oil smells the same......and when I can find it, the body lotion.....but the spray??? I am not sure.

I first started using this scent in high school when it first came out(early 70's). No other musk can compare. This musk has a clean smell. I continuously get asked what I am wearing.

Absolutely devine! A very sensual fragrance. I have been wearing it for years, and I have never received a negative compliment on it.

I absolutely love this frangrance. Its not overpowering like some of the named brand scents that are out today.

When I read all of the positive messages on this board regarding this fragrance I was excited to purchase it.And since a I am a fan of unisex scents I was eager to try this one. I was disappointed when the fragrance finally arrived. When I took my first whiff of the scent I was immediately stricken with a since of de ja vu. Then I remebered smelling this same scent in my mothers bathroom in the form of a talcum powder. The smell is little too old-ladyish for me. It's not really a bad smell it's just not what I expected. So I'm going to pass this one on to someone else.

And this is unisex-perfum. And though I like generally quite feminine scents, to wear myself, I think this is way too feminine. It starts with the bottle, which is quite repulsive, in my opinion...And the smells is not for me either, as its so floral, thin and sharp. And the EDT doesnt even last, so I keep smelling this on women, IF I am lucky!

Lovely pure musk smell but on me it turned nasty.

I,ve used this scent since it's introduction, it's great! Wish I could find the old fashioned talc and puff set.

I have used this fragrance for over 20 years and have never been disappointed by it. In my opinion, it is the perfect classic musk--not too heavy, and leaves a lasting impression.

I have purchased many expensive perfumes over the years and nothing has ever compared with this. I would not care how much this cost....I would buy it at any price and it's soooo inexpensive....I layer the scent all over my body using the body lotion, spray and the oil and the compliments from men and woman are constant. I love the way it makes me feel and I have been using it for years.

I don't usually like musky fragrances, because they seem so artificial! This one instead is really nice and sexy, the only musk perfume I can stand on my skin! Not very suitable fo daytime at the office.

Well, I thought it over, decided to dive in and buy some...I was sure I would prolly like it...but I didn't know it would be the most delicious perfume I've ever had the pleasure of owning! :) Ladies, (and Gentlemen) PLEASE try this one if you haven't already. It is truly incredible. The fragrance is pure, tasteful and the price could most possibly fool you. This does NOT smell at all like a drugstore fragrance! And the true musk scent is so much richer, more prevalent and also sexier than it is in most brands. Alyssa Ashley Musk is my new favorite. Coty Wild Musk and Jovan White Musk are the only others that come close to smelling this sensual and pretty. AND the fragrance is unisex, great for men and women alike. It'll drive me crazy when I spritz my man with it then snuggle up close. ;)

This is great! I think Alyssa's musk is one of those I always see in the store, but never really occured to me to try it. :P I love most musk scents, I'm a sucker that way. And I do like collecting them. How is this musk different from Jovan's? I'm curious now! :) Can someone describe it?

I have used Alyssa Ashley for years. This is one I have never gotten tired of using. It has such a sexy smell.

I was introduced to Musk Oil at the age of 15,(28 years ago. Rediscovered it with Alyssa Ashley and wear it often. Compliments flood in, because it's such a fresh, natural scent!!!!

Since first using a small bottle of the perfume oil I have went to many stores to find and purchase the entire line. I am 46 yrs. old and if I had just one scent to use this would be it. I keep coming back to it. I use it all the time and don't believe it is just for evening!! I have received many compliments.

wear this around any man who shall i say is a bit annoyed with you and watch him CRUMBLE.

I have more good comments when wearing this than any other perfume from both men and women. Men especially. It's great!
