I'm not sure how many people who have reviewed this are old enough to remember Bill Blass, but I believe one of his favorite expressions was, "Amazing!"...ergo the name of this fragrance. The notes on this site say it was created in 1999 -- but I think Bill Blass died before then? Not sure, but I suppose the name is an homage to him. If you are aware of that then the name doesn't seem so corny. I bought Amazing edt and dusting powder in a set at a discount store for $19.99. A whim. I bought it because I fell in love with the bottle, which reminds me of one of those Japanese paper floor lamps that I've always wanted in my dream minimalist home (which will never happen because I'm too much of a western clutterbug). And I figured, how bad could the scent be? Turns out the scent is quite nice. On me, it's a fresh green floral and a little fruity. It's drier than the vanillic fruity fragrances popular now, so maybe that's why so many don't care for it. I've been into vanillic fragrances myself lately, and poor old Amazing has been relegated to the back of a drawer. But I spritzed it on this morning for some reason. Just felt like something different. I would love to have it in a shower gel. Interesting all the extreme responses. I think that this is a style of fragrance typical of another era. It reminds me of the old Benandre, or possibly similar to Y or Givenchy III -- the type of fragrance that people younger than me call "old lady". Not the same as those frags, just similar in feeling. Personally, I prefer Y or Givenchy III. I would not re-purchase Amazing because I rarely repurchase the same fragrance. But I diasagree with the cheap and nasty $5 kmart and air freshener remarks. I find Amazing cheery and uplifting, a sunny morning type of fragrance. That's a very subjective thing; obviously, try before you buy because it looks like many here don't care for this one at all.

The name sold me, until I got it and tried it. I ordered a mini, thank gosh, and I do not care for it. The smell is better on than right out of the bottle. I would not waste my money, or yours on it.

First smell, it seems sweet. Then it changes. Very unsual floral! I have not sniffed anything near this scent. I found the eau de parfum and lotion at a discount store, then found the body cream and parfum at another discount store. Yes! I did get that too!

This is a very zesty refreshing fragrance that needs warm weather to bring out the best of its ingredients. To me it smells at first like lemon and ginger, like a fizzy summer cocktail, then later you can smell some interesting floral blends. It's very different and uplifting, great for casual wear.

I originally smelled this fragrance in KMart when I was looking for a last minute gift and really liked it. The lady I gave it to liked it, too. I will probably purchase a bottle of this for myself for summer. It's not a very popular fragrance, but women who loved Chanel No. 5 might want to try this one, too.

I tried Amazing from a saleslady while shopping at Saks in 1999. Ever since...the compliments keep on coming - What is that perfume you're wearing?...and when I reply Amazing, they say it is truly AMAZZZZZZZZING.

I wanted to write and say that I had never tried AMAZING before, but after receiving it as a Christmas gift I personally love this fragrance. All fragrances are not for everyone but AMAZING seems to work well with my bodies chemistry, and I get stopped now by women and men asking, "What is that wonderful fragrance you're wearing?" You have a very satisfied customer who will be purchasing this product regularly.......

I'll be honest. I didn't like this scent at first. But when it dried down I was like, "Wow!" Smells even better when you spray it behind the knees and at the elbows. Nay Sayers, if you don't like the scent, give Bill Blass some credit; the bottle is really cute!

A very overpowering synthetic air fresher spray smell. Oh yuck!

I collect perfumes, so as you will see I have quite a lot of reviews up. This is one that I have added to my collection, I am testing it at the moment. At the moment the scent is disgusting, but maybe the dry down will be better. It smells so bad at the moment that I don't think I will wait for a dry down, I always test perfumes before I shower in the morning...just in case. I don't want to be wearing a stinky scent all day...been there done that.

I wanted to write and say I had never tried amazing but while visiting relatives in lexington kentucky we went shoping at the mall and the dept. store had a table sat up with amazing and I brought a lg. bottle to my surprise I love this fragrance and so does my 21yr. old daughter so you've gotten two more satisfied who will be purchasing this cologne regularly, thanks so much for having that display and me trying it and loving it too........

I personally love this fragrance. I got it as a sample with another purchase and haven't been able to find it since. I'm glad I've found it and can't wait to get it.

This one really didn't work for me. I think they were trying to capture something similar to Oh! de Moschino, (which I love, by the way) but the top note in this is just very acrid. Maybe it comes off another body in a better way, but on me this one was just not pleasant.

I love this fragrance. Just goes to show you, different strokes for different folks. With this many opposite reactions, probably should sample it before you buy.

People should wear something they enjoy. There's no sense in torturing yourself with something you don't like just to please others. As for Amazing, I don't think it's that good a fragrance. It's pleasant, but not enough to cost as much as it does. As someone put it, it smells like those fruity body sprays that cost $5 at K-Mart.

As usual, majority does not indicate reality. Amazing is AMAZING! It is one of the FIRST perfumes that I have found that is appealing to every man who smells it, not just the women who THINK they smell pretty good. I have received VERY positive response from strangers in elevators who have gone as far as to write down the name of the perfume and buy it for the women in their lives. They have said that the usually HATE the scents that women purchase but that AMAZING smells incredible. Maybe those of you who are trusting your OWN noses should test your scents on the ones who I believe that we want to like the the scents.

I must say I had great expectations for this one but I found it very sharp and just not pleasant. Initially it smells vaguely like Oh de Moschino! and then it just turns very acrid and sharp. Maybe on somebody else it will work but my only use for it was to spray it on light bulbs as a room freshener.

I got this perfume as a gift and had to return it.It should really be discontinued!It's absolutely awefull.

Amazing just isn't. It has a cheap, cotton smell to it that turned me off right away. Very unorginal. Might be okay for a young woman's first "grown-up" fragrance, but other than that, I don't recommend it.

Catarina, you are so correct. I actually bought this one, and returned it. Horrible.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but there's nothing amazing about this one. In fact, it is just the opposite. It smells like a cheap and fruity body spray you could find at any discount store for a tenth of the price.

I would like to comment you on your fragranc; amazing. My husband bought me the bath collection and i have never smelled anything like it. It is awesome. I would like to know how can I get a case of the amazing bath gel, powder, lotion and cologne. Please let me know and I will try and help promote your business.

This fragrance is overpowering at first, and smells cheaper and cheaper throughout the day. It actually smells like a perfume that sat in the sun all day long. Definitely not his best perfume.
