  • JOE JOHNSON06/11/2012

    Very good product.

  • LINDA12/08/2010

    i love this scent

  • TRINIGAL09/30/2010

I loved acqua di gio but I guess it did not love me back 100%. It faded on me after only two hours. Pity.

  • FLUFFY07/15/2010

My fave!!!! Been wearing only this fragrance for 15 years.80894

  • DARLENE03/04/2009

My boyfriend bought me a big bottle of this.It was not what I expected.I agree with Sandi. It's not the best.I also have a huge bottle available that I don't want.

  • PERFUME PRINCESS09/27/2008

I wore acqua di gio to church once. The scent wafted through the air and this pregnant lady nudged me and thanked me for making her feel better. She told me that she hasn't thrown up in at least a couple of hours and she's become pretty sensitive to strong perfumes during her pregnancy. This is truly a lovely feminine scent,I have absolutely no regrets buying it. Highly recommended!!

  • MELANIE08/04/2008

Three words to describe this scent: Fresh,Sexy,Lively. Highly recommended.

  • TRINA09/13/2007

It does smell pretty and very floral. I kind of got bored with this one after a while - also never received that many compliments with this one as I have with other that I wear.

  • CINIJON208/04/2007

When I first sprayed it on, I didn't like the top note at all. Smelled like many other florals; nothing special. But the middle note is quite lovely, and that's the one that sticks with you the longest. So don't judge the fragrance until you've had it on a few minutes. I'm going to get some of the body gel, too!

  • BARBARA W07/23/2007

I wore this one summer about ten years ago, but now I don't care for it that much. Too floral. Reminds me of the woman's version of Cool Water. If you like that, you'll probably like Acqua di Gio, too. My tastes in scents have changed and I like deeper orientals. I wouldn't mind smelling this on others, though - it's not bad.

  • JODY DILS05/23/2007

DURING SUMMER MONTHS YOUR FAVORITE PERFUME LASTS LONGER IF YOU SET IT WITH MATCHING FAGRANCE POWDER IF AVAILABLE THE PROBLEM IS AVAILABILITY OR HARD TO FIND SETS CAN YOU HELP?

  • PATRICIA05/06/2007

I have lots of perfumes butb try and stick to just a few strange though whenever I wear this one I get so many comments and asking what is that lovely perfume my daughter now buy is for my birthdays and mothers day as they all love it

  • JULIE03/28/2007

A woman I know wears this, it's very clean smelling, if you like that type of smell. I personally don't like to smell like the beach, or like I just stepped out of a shower, nice but boring.

  • ANNIE02/08/2007

If you don't like aquatics because they have been overdone, then perhaps you won't appreciate Acqua di Gio. But if you do like this type of fragrance, check this one out. It is so well done, the florals so nicely balanced, with a hint of the water note - not overly synthetic smelling - just very fresh, and surprisingly long lasting. I can't say enough nice things about Acqua di Gio. And, as the prior poster mentioned, it's perfect for those cold winter days when you need a breath of summer. I think I enjoy it more for this than for any other reason! :-)

  • NETTIE02/04/2007

This one is fresh with a hint of sweetness. Aqua di Gio is like the warm ocean breeze, it's fresh yet sweet while being romantic and flirty. I wear it year round, it's great for those of us who live in cold climates and get the winter blues. Even though this is a refreshing scent, it does not smell like spring or zest soap. Note: My partner is very much a pain in the a*s when it comes to frags, but he is very much a fan of this one and has been for four years. Trust me, that says a lot. lol I'm 30, hope this helps. Notes: Sweet Pea, Aquatic Notes, Jasmine, Freesia, White Hyacinth, Muscat Grape, Musk, Woods

  • AMIE12/16/2006

This colonge is my all time favorite. When you walk in a room you know if someone's wearing it, and let me tell you if they are, they better watch out, because it drive's me wild

  • GINGER11/19/2006

I love this product and get raves from friends when I give them a hug.

  • SIRSMELLSOGOOD08/12/2006

I absolutely love most of the men's Armani fragrances, so I thought I'd check out one for my wife. I could not believe how disappointed I was! So run-of-the-mill, so shockingly common-smelling. Almost punguently floral, stereotypical perfume scented. Not the super classy & light scent of the men's. Not even bearing resemblance to the men's version, which typically companies make the women's scent just bear a femenine shadow of the men's. This is not something that I could recommend I'm sad to say.

  • D07/19/2006

After all the favorable reviews of this, I went to check it out, and sadly found it to be like so many scents get on me, way too sweet. Don't get me wrong, it is a very pretty scent, just not what I had hoped it to be: lighter and bit less sweet. Oh well, good for those of you that this works good on!

  • REBECCA05/10/2006

I found an extremely cheap perfume oil roll on that lasts all day long. I know this fades for alot of women. There is no company that makes it, it's just sold at a vendor with a label "100% uncut perfume oils". I swear it smells exactly like the original, and it lasts longer than a parfum without being too intensely strong. If you can find it, check it out.

  • KARANN04/26/2006

I haven't had Acqua di Gio in a while but I used to wear it a lot. I think it's one of the freshest summer scents out there. I have to get some more of this for the upcoming warm season. It really is like stepping out of a shower very clean!

  • TRISH04/21/2006

I found it to fade extremely fast also! It wasn't just my nose adjusting .. my boyfriend (who bought it for me) noticed it as well. Love the fragrance .. just wish they'd make it in a perfume not just an EDT.

  • MAYA03/29/2006

Hi there, I can suggest a similar scent that I hope you'd enjoy... but you should try the lasting power on yourself before buying as well... The scent I'm talking about is... L'Eau De Sonia Rykiel Perfume by Sonia Rykiel ... it's a perfume concentration and will be wonderful for spring and summer. Hope this helps :)

  • BLUE SWEDE03/05/2006

Hi all! I really like Acqua di Gio, but it fades very quickly on me (grading refers to the smell only). Do you know of any other fresh, fruity-floral fragrances I can try? Thanks!

  • ARICIA02/20/2006

Wore this on my wedding day (in 1997); sometime afterwards I asked my husband what he thought of this fragrance and his response was "Eh, it's okay. Not great". I do, however, think it's a pleasant scent, though I no longer wear it, ha ha.

  • PERFUMELOVER02/02/2006

I love perfume, but can't wear a lot of them because of some chemicals they use. This is beautiful on me in the spring, fresh, classy, pretty, my husband even commented on it, and he rarely does that. It also smells good on me outdoors, where I spend a lot of time, we live near the ocean.

  • REBECCA01/24/2006

I just found this perfume and wore it for the first time. It smells sooo good on skin and the mix of notes really works with me. It's marine, floral, dewy and fresh/clean all at once. Excellent for anytime!

  • POOKIE12/30/2005

I always forget about this one in my collection because it's easily forgettable. I always take it to the beach with me during summer vacations tho because it's so summery. I can't imagine wearing this scent at any other time of the year.

  • COLOGNEMAN12/20/2005

I absolutely love Acqua di Gio for men so I went to get my fiance the women's version. To my surprise, I found it to be rather unpleasant. The women's version of any cologne is supposed to be a slightly feminine modification, but this smells nothing like the men's. I have tremendous respect for Armani, but I was very sadly disappointed with this one

  • TROY12/18/2005

I like this one almost as much as Tova. It is one of very few colognes that don't feel like a knife turning in your skull

  • JESSICA12/12/2005

I bought this in Japan at a store by the ocean. It is my only perfume that I have not gotten tired of. Even though I am in the states now far from the ocean, this perfume still smells like and reminds me of Japan's seacoast in the country.

  • EMME JOHNSON11/20/2005

My favorite scent is Gio, but I love this fragrance too! It provides a fresh, airey, clean and feminine scent for the day. While Gio provides a sexy, confident and irresitable (can't keep his hands off you) scent for nights on the town or evening romance. A perfect match!!

  • MICHELLE10/16/2005

I've worn this scent for years and love it. I can't imagine wearing anything else. I wear it both during the day and out at night.

  • ALLISON R.09/29/2005

I remember when this scent came out.The year 1995 was a good year for me. Maybe that's why I'm interested in this scent again. It's light, but it still shows up. It's a happy feeling, and a lightness that doesn't come around that often.

  • ELLIS05/14/2005

I love it but it definately is not an evening perfume, too fresh and finally unsexy. But is lovely and sexy at the day

  • BARBARA04/22/2005

Aqua di Gio is, in my opinion, one of the classics. There is nothing offensive in it, just a nice, clean smell. I don't think it's particularly sexy (a good oriental would be better for romance) but this scent is perfect for the office and casual wear.

  • JELENA04/11/2005

I bought it for my mum. Thinking that scent will just give her a fresh note. And I was so right. This perfume is definetly for older ladies. Not for young at all. If you like it ok, but it much better fits on maturity women. On me smells terrible. Or I just feel like that when it's on me :( Nevertheless, my rate will be 'good' (for older women). The rate I'm giving doesn't consider perfume for young women.

  • NATHAN03/13/2005

This is the best smelling perfume I have ever found. Any woman who wears this will have my complete and undivided attention. Very sexy!

  • CHRISTOBELLE02/13/2005

my sister in law wears this as her signature scent. I bought a bottle, but sometimes feel its too sweat pea and jasmine for me. don't think I will buy another bottle when this is out. it is nice though. VERY feminine.

  • ALEX01/08/2005

If you want something similar try Davidoff Cool Water or L'au Par Kenzo or Ralph Lauren Blue. They all have the same oceanic theme :)

  • JESS V12/23/2004

I find this scent offensive from the start. It gets better as it wears down.

  • KSM12/14/2004

I love this scent! This is a classic and fabulous perfume! That said: DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SOMETHING SIMILAR??? (I am changing recluctantly after wearing it for years as I need a new smell for a new chapter of my life.) Thanks!

  • SUE C10/30/2004

I hope to add this one to my collection soon. It's very refreshing with a burst of tropical jasmine-like flowers. If you like this one, try Ines de la Fressange (signature scent of the French supermodel). It too has a fresh note followed by a burst of gorgeous flowers, and finally a very pretty musk base. Sophisticated, sexy but not in-your-face. I hope it will be available on this site, it's very hard to get.

  • CHILI-O10/12/2004

I like it, it's fresh and sweet. Too much makes me sick though. Don't smell your clothes a day later, it's revolting. My boyfriend agrees with Karen (no edge), he added: It smells 'expensive' but it does nothing for me.

  • KAREN09/14/2004

pleasent enough but too light and floral lacks character one for easy summer days

  • MELBA07/30/2004

My husband bought me this lovely fragrance and I just fell in love with it. It certainly beats out others that I've worn in the past.

  • DEBBIE07/22/2004

Your in Louisiana, it's hot and humid, and someone just woke you up to tell you that you had to go to work instead of sitting by a pool surrounded by tropical flowers and drinking lemonade. What to do...spray on Acqua di Gio and you feel alot better. It starts out a little strong but after approximately 5 minutes cool down time, it turns into this refreshing, yummy, clean, just stepped out of the shower smell. Lots of people love it including actress Ashley Judd.

  • JINNY07/20/2004

I just love this one. It's so fresh and clean. I can't get enough of it. My favorite next to Pastel.

  • LOVES07/15/2004

This is a lovely scent and for those who enjoy marine notes this is one you have to try.

  • SIZZLE07/10/2004

It is the only great perfume on the market that does smell to strong. It has a gentle soft smell to it that does make you sick of smelling it. All the men I know seem to love the smell of this perfume. They always comment on how well this perfume smells on me. They tell me that they hate perfume that smells powdery.

  • SAMIUN04/30/2004

I bought it three years ago, it's simply beautiful.

  • KELL04/25/2004

I like the base mint note in it, but there is a strong flowery top note that makes me not be able to wear it.

  • FROM CANADA 04/25/2004

in english it means "water of Gio"

  • BECKY04/19/2004

I wear a variety of different perfumes, but the one that men comment on the most is this one. Even the maintenance man in my apartment asked "what are you wearing?"

  • SUE01/29/2004

The fragrance light and fresh, but it didn't last either on clothes.

  • MARTIN01/03/2004

this is an example of an excellent design, sexy name (agua di gio :)) and wonderful smell. i just cant get my nose off my girlfriend when she wears that. great!!

  • CHAKA12/30/2003

This is okay, nothing to brag about. It's too fruity and the scent stays for a lonngggg time.

  • JO1CE12/24/2003

i accidently bought it 5 yrs ago n i fell in love w/ it ever since.. this scent is my fav. very light n femini. love it....

  • MANDY12/17/2003

Although I prefer the heady spicy sweetness of the original Gio di Giorgio Armani, this is a lovely lighter more casual version of it. Excellent for day or summer wear.

  • PATTI12/10/2003

WOULD ABSOLUTELY WEAR NOTHING ELSE. I LOVE IT AND THE MEN LOVE IT. IT'S SO WONDERFUL

  • ?12/02/2003

it may seem to fade, but u don't realize that its not that it is fading its just u'r nose gets used to it and u can no longer smell it. If u use it as a body spray it will be overwhelming Debbie.... Ask someone else if its faded or not before u use it as a body spary.

  • LULU10/19/2003

Like many others, I found the fragrance heavenly, but it didn't last. Perhaps if it came in eau de parfum instead of eau de toilette it might last longer. It's more like an over-priced body splash. An excellent spring/summer scent; too light for fall/winter use. I'm in my late 40's, so it's nice for all ages. Would recommend trying any fragrance you consider purchasing in the retail store first, because of your body chemistry.

  • KYSAI10/18/2003

I really like this perfume, but it's definately not for every season or special occassions since is too light and flowery; however, it's perfect for casual or office wear as long as the weather where you live doesn't go below 50F, your body chemstry changes slightly due to weather, and with it, so will this fragrance, believe me.

  • KELLIE09/16/2003

this smelt great at first, then it gave me the biggest migrane headache.

  • KATIE09/06/2003

When my man wears Acqua di Gio, I get weak in the knees! He is guaranteed seduction!

  • MAKENA08/14/2003

I just bought this perfume and I love it. Most perfumes make me sneeze right when I spray them on, this one is more soft. I don't mind it not lasting all day, no biggie to spray some more on, its not like it will be too stong to offend anyone. I recommend it for women in there middle 20's. Don't think its good on the young girls.

  • TWIXIBELLE07/16/2003

This is gorgeous. Fresh, watery, delicate. I love sweetpeas. Perfect for hot summer days. Just wish it had more staying power though. You'd get thru this quickly if you were splashing it on regularly throughout the day....

  • GISELLE07/03/2003

Aqua Di Gio reminds me of a warm sandy beach...mmmmm. It smells fabulous at first, but once I put it on, it ends up not so nice. My chemistry brings out something sharp in it. Too bad. Maybe I could use it as a room freshener? I'm jealous of those of you who can were it! ;)

  • SARAH06/21/2003

okay, i admit, i didn't really 'need' a new perfume, as i already own too many to mention without it being embarrassing cause there are people going hungry in the world and i am obsessed with perfume, but i had to have it. i went down to the local cosmetics shop as they wanted to give me a clinique lipstick for being such a good customer (perfume, anyone?) and the green box stared me down. it whispered to me, along with the huge tester bottle : sarah, you know you want to spray me... i smell soooooo gooooood.... and i am a sucker, so i couldn't resist. i did however only succumb to the smallest size, so i guess that's forgiveable....anyway enough blabla, let us move on to the scent: starts off with a top note of fresh cut flowers (sweat pea smells sweetly rosy), with middle notes of oceanic freshness, or the smell of a freshly rained upon garden, and then ambery woody musky notes round up the base. super feminine and a fragrance which is really hard not to like. very luminous.

  • MILENA06/04/2003

It doesn't have a staying power, it lasts about 1-2 hours or 3. But if you spray it on your clothes it will last 2-3 days. This one is very nice, fresh, airy, clean and it has ocean note which one is not too much "strong". I think that everyone should have this perfume. I have it for 2 years and people always ask me what I am wearing. It is very nice, gentle scent. Smells so heavenly. Hope you will like it.

  • TIPITITIP05/31/2003

i see some complaints about this scent fading too fast. Can anyone tell me approximately how long it stays on? I want to try it but not sure if it's worth the price. Thanks!

  • VANILLALION05/24/2003

Combination of "water" (ozonic?) and light florals. The men's version is equally great in my opinion. May have to reapply during the day.

  • VANILLALION05/24/2003

Combination of "water" (ozonic?) and light florals. The men's version is equally great in my opinion. May have to reapply during the day.

  • SALI05/22/2003

I love this--great aqueous floral, soft and clean. Every now and then, the Gio base turns a bit too warm on my skin for summer, but it's the same base that gives it character. My favorite product is the exfoliating gel.

  • DEBBIE05/13/2003

I tried this one on in the store for at least 2 weeks before I made the purchase and it smelled lovely. I smelled it on me for the rest of the day. THEN, after the purchase, it faded almost as soon as I put it on. I tried to make a perfume purchase based on some systematic testing and it still back-fired!I should just use it as a body spray!

  • GOLDENLADY05/07/2003

I loved this scent when I first tried it, but then after a while, something about it started bothering me. It might be the ozone notes.

  • CMW.05/04/2003

when I dunno what to wear on a day I always reach for this... it reminds me of summer vacations in the tropics or somewhere exotic... mmmmmmmmm... and it's amazing in the spring and summer months when the wind carries this faintly off you.... so soothing.....

  • DOESN'T MATTER04/06/2003

I have it and I like it. It is fresh, not as much as Carolina Herrera-212, but there is something special about it. People ask me what perfume am I wearing although it doesn't impress me that much. Yesterday I saw a perfume that remind me of Acqua-it was Oriflame-Divine but this one doesn't have staying power. Acqua Di Gio is more like classic perfumes that are modern forever-evergreen. As I said nothing in comparing with 212, but still nice. Light perfume that you can wear where ever you go.

  • M.J.03/01/2003

I really like this fragrance, but everytime I try to wear it I get a violent headache. I think it's the sweetpea in the top notes. I've noticed the same reaction to other scents with this ingredient. It's a shame though, because I think it smells really nice.

  • BRITTNEE02/26/2003

I loved this smell but for the price I'd expect it to stay on all day and it fades so quickly. Not worth the $$.

  • LEAH02/18/2003

I only have one complaint....it doesn't last long. The scent is fresh, floral and feminine...very inticing to the senses. I just wish that it stayed on longer.

  • SIDNEY02/15/2003

I like this and I own it. It's fresh, clean and it has a great mild floral scent. I just wish that it was a tad stronger and that it would last longer, it fades too quickly, about 15 min.. For that reason I wont repurchasing this.

  • LISA02/03/2003

This is a wonderful perfume for day or night wear. It's light and floral, no over-powering sickening sweet smell. It blends with your own body scent quickly but other people can still smell it without being annoyed by it. Perhaps the ladies who don't think it's very fragrant aren't giving it a fair chance. You aren't supposed to smell yourself and if you do, you are using too much cologne. This perfume reactivates when your body temperature rises...which is nice for those romantic nights!

  • ZALE01/05/2003

Doesn't last long at all. This is defitinitely a summer fragrance; smells very clean and youthful, but the price is too high for a scent that doesn't stay on you all day!

  • PINKI12/26/2002

nice at first, but too sweet (maybe the sweet pea is un petit peu too much, non?). cool water (davidoff) is waaaaay better, and cheaper too. fresher. but gio does have better lasting power, if you don't mind that the only part that really lasts is the cloying sweetness.

  • ROB12/19/2002

I OWN THIS SCENT. GETS BORING VERY QUICKLY...THE SCENT IS TOO MUTE

  • ELINNA12/16/2002

This scent is just lovely. I nearly bought it, but decided that Hugo worked better for me. If you are considering this scent, don't hesitate to buy this!

  • DENISE09/24/2002

Aqua di Gio means Giorgio's water, after Giorgio Armani, that is

  • TINAB09/24/2002

    Absolutely beautiful, feminine fragrance!!!!

  • TRACY09/24/2002

This was way too sweet and got on my nerves when I tried a sample of it. Very nice for young girls though.

  • DENISE 09/23/2002

    Signore Armani's masterpiece.

  • TIPI09/14/2002

just tell me, is it a little bit like "Laura" by Laura Biagiotti??? or like what.....thanks

  • ARPA08/12/2002

ANOTHER TOP OF THE LINE PERFUME. THIS IS A VERY LIGHT,COOL,FRESH SMELL BY ARMANI AND ITS A VERY CLASSY YET EVERYDAY PERFUME...LOVE IT...ONE OF MY TOP MOST FAVORITE PERFUMES

  • IDA07/21/2002

What does Acqua di Gió mean in english?

  • RITA C.07/11/2002

I liked this sent the first time I tried it. It has a cool sweetpea smell to it. But I don't reach for it as much as my other scents.

  • NISSA06/17/2002

a nice spring fragrance. You might have to spray a couple of times through the day.The smell is light and fresh and last about 3hours.This fragrance is usually sold out in alot of stores. You have to buy it as soon as you see it.

  • JOHN06/02/2002

So lovely. The best women fragrance I have ever smelled.

  • CARLA04/01/2002

I don't like these new 'fresh' perfumes too much. They are actually more penetrant then the tradional ones.Sharp, strong. I like softer perfumes myself

  • HEIDI03/16/2002

This cologne is a big turn on! It smells absolutely wonderful!

  • APRIL01/25/2002

I LOVE ACQUA DI GIO! This fragrance is great for spring/summer because it doesn't get over-powering in the heat. My husband and son love it and everyone always asks me what I'm wearing when I have it on. I feel so feminine and beautiful when I wear this fragrance! Don't pass this one up... and ladies Acqua Di Gio for him is very sexy...

  • SATOKO01/21/2002

I like it and I have it but it gets too musky for me. I wish the top notes stayed longer.

  • SARA01/08/2002

This is a very distinctive smelling perfume. I love it on but it can get a bit old after a while. The smell lasts all day.

  • LORI12/29/2001

    I love it!

  • LINDA12/18/2001

My husbnad bought this frangrance for me about 5 years ago and I LOVE it. He hasn't splurged like that since then and I would love more. If you are still interested, you can contact me at [email protected]

  • SANDI12/16/2001

At first this fragrance smells good...but once you get it on, it's disappointing!!! Anyone want a huge bottle of it?

  • VANESSA 11/25/2001

Nice daytime wearable scent. Suitable for summer.

  • AMBER11/19/2001

i think that this is a good smell, but i seemed to have gotten sick of it quick

  • CATARINA08/22/2001

I wore for a short while and kept catching those annoying chemical smells that didn't go along with the clean and fresh spirit of this fragrance. My mother's friends loved the way I smelled, though.

  • JOLENE07/29/2001

This one is much better than regular "Gio" by Armani!

  • BETH07/22/2001

Acqua di Gio is a Marine fragrance. It contains lilacs, bergamot, peonies, freesia, jasmine, oakmoss, spearmint, tangerine and musk. This perfume is best for casual use.

  • MELISSA07/03/2001
