Starting out very clean, fresh and pleasant, and ending with an unexpected vanilla finale a couple hours later, this frag. seems like it should have a little something going on for it....but ultimately this stuff is just a little......boring.

How this type of lavender-sharp-simplistic-aromic type of scents ever became popular in the 90's I don't know but they did. While better then some of these types of scents this cologne will bore you to tears after a few days. You'll then say "why did I buy this?" Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible but seriously it's just average joe office wear and nothing more then that. If that's what your looking for, go for it.

Now Lavin is what a man needs. Its starts off as a mild citrus to a mid range spicy smell. You may also include a light floral scent as well. Its a very much a spring/summer scent, yet can be worn year around. If you're looking for a versatile cologne (day to evening) invest in Lanvin. but I must warn you, its not a long lasting scent. Expect it to last 3 hours tops. But I suppose cologne scent lasts depending on the individual. Nevertheless, its worth it. BTW- I like the classic shape bottle and the violet color cologne.

Hem,,, I would probably choose Tommy T. Lanvin Pour Homme is good and aquatic, but Tommy T is more unique, T would stand out more than Lanvin would. The problem with Lanvin Pour Homme is the dry down is soapy, T is very fresh and fruity, trust me, fresh and fruity scent is hard to find, and is definitely very pleasing

versatile fragrance. starts out fresh and aquatic and then changes with the vanilla note to an oriental. very different and all hell, just for that it deserves 5 stars. only got the .03 oz sampler and will not purchase though.

I sampled this at a perfume store, and I think it's really, really good. The smell is unique and very pleasant. Probably one of the better fragrances out there.

At first it's like lemons and lavender, but the smell gets warmer and deeper after a few hours that it becomes good even for evenings. Only a french perfume has this kind of versatility!!

An average sent. Some days it seems to smell great while others it really has a wierd smell to it. Doesnt last as long as id hope and that may be why I havnt had any complements so far... or it just stinks??

this has a very fresh n cool scent. its awesome man. it really goes well with suits and a mature outfit. gotta get this foo~

After two 0.03 oz samples I still do not know what Lanvin Homme smells like. This cologne is too weak and whimsical for my expectations of a designer cologne

I love Lanvin! I bought a bottle for my bf and I can not help smelling him constantly. Its so fresh!!! GET IT GUYS! Ladies will be all over you!

Goes on great for about 30 minutes to an hour. When it dries and the colognes settles WOW does it stink and did I ever get a headache. I'll stick with Silver Romance

This scent is one of the best. I find it kind of relaxing. Good for upper casual and/or romantic settings. Soft and fresh like a citricy-lavender aroma. I wore my first bottle around to make sure that all that smelt it would remmember me. Now I use my second bottle ocasionaly.

Lanvin L" Homme is fresh and nobel

THE SCOTTIE PIPPEN OF COLOGNES WITH IT'S VERSATILITY. THE SCENT IS ALL OF IT. CAN'T GO WRONG.

I have not found anyone that disliked this fragrance, and it works with formal and casual times as well as summer and winter. You can't go wrong with this.

This cologne has a good fresh and clean smell to it. Perfect for almost any occasion. I have worn it for a while now and I have been complimented so much with this cologne.

I tried this fragrance to see why it was so highly rated, but I was a bit dissapointed. Maybe it is my skin, but I do not think it smells as good as the ratings say. It does not smell bad, but I feel there are others far more better.

this is the best, there is notting better. I am 18 and i love it, my girlfreinds is 17 and she loves it, my dad who is 50 loves it and so the my mom. You can not go wrong with this. But it is very hard to find, only online. Once you try it you will never go back to any other

this is a very fresh scent, it lasts for a while4-6 hours, it is similar to the new higher energy by Dior, although the latest is more citrusy

Probably the best all purpose cologne I have. I don't know of anyone who doesn't like it. Fresh and clean.

try eau sauvage or eau sauvage extreme. I would say you won't regret them either. Lanvin l'homme is a definite must have too. Skip Tommy.

This is a great fragrance. Can be worn for any occasion. Does not at all smell like Tommy, as someone here mentioned it does. Tommy smells like urine.

I really like this stuff - it smells great. Unfortunately, I can slather it on in the morning and by midmorning it is virtually undetectable on me - not just to my nose, but to others around me. I can't justify spending money on a cologne, however nice it smells, and then having the aroma completely dissipate after 3 or 4 hours. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

I SAMPLED THIS COLOGNE THE OTHER DAY AND I WAS IMPREESED WITH THE CLEAN, FRESH, AND AQUATIC SCENT THIS HAS. I SAW YOU WERE IN A DILEMNA AS FAR AS TOMMY T AND CHRISTIAN DIOR HIGHER AND THIS. IF I PERSONALLY HAD TO MAKE A CHOICE, IT WOULD BE HANDS DOWN LANVIN L'HOMME. TRUST ME, YOU WON'T REGRET BUYING THIS WHEN ALL THE WOMEN COME CROWDING YOU AFTER WORK OR AFTER HOURS.

extremelly good specially if you use it with the after shave.

I thought it was very similar to Higher by Christian Dior and Tommy T by Tommy Hilfiger. That kind of sharp, clean scent. In fact, I am having a hard time deciding which of the three to buy. Lanvin l'homme is clean, fresh, modern and aquatic.

I think this is an excellent cologne. One of the nicest fragrences I've tried in a long time. Very fresh, aquatic, long lasting.

Shhhh! Many stores do not carry this excellent cologne anymore. Lets keep this a secret. I would hate Lanvin to become the next Hugo or D & G.

This scent is unbelievable! It smell very clean and fresh. When they recommend this for office wear, they are so right about it. Of course, I am not going to wear this at work. Try it on for a date, and you'll see...

Bought this after a friend introduced it to me. Definitely the best cologne I own right now. Perfect evening scent. I had a girl keep telling me how good I smelled the morning after in bed so its definitely got that lasting smell.

Not bad. Got a sample of this and it lasted all day strong at the office. They recomend this for office use. It is refreshing. Reminds me of a minty smell to it like Tommy has. However Tommy sucks and this does not. I would concider getting a bottle of this for a better perspective

Can't have enough of this stuff! Breezy and cool, not too light, not too strong, not too "sporty" yet not at all heavy, very classy for men, and rather hard to find, too--it seems only one brick-and-mortar retailer carries this brand... Looking to restock the one bought from last trip to Paris... A classic. Highly recommended!
