A fragrance that promises pleasure. Bold and sweet, awakes your feelings. And not only yours, imagine that people can recognize you even with their eyes closed. At the beginning its name was JPGaultier Eau de Parfum and it was produced as eau de parfum. Now, it is called Classique and comes both as eau de perfume and eau de toilette. In the top notes delicate rose scent is spiced by fresh anis. Middle notes combine sweetness of orange blossom and exciting ginger, a powerful aphrodisiac. Vanilla and sensual amber gently embrace in the base. The perfume is created in 1993.

  • JUDY12/07/2015

    Wonderful fragrance

  • PAUL09/20/2014

Perfume was recommended to me and I'm very pleased with this fragrance.

  • JUDY05/03/2013

    I love this fragrance.

  • JUDY04/22/2013

Wonderful scent. Perfume is best for a longer lasting effect.

  • JUDY RICHARD01/02/2013

    I love this perfume.

  • JUDY RICHARD01/02/2013

Beautiful fragrance. Perfume stays much longer than Eau de toilette. I wish they made an oil in this fragrance.

  • JUDY RICHARD01/02/2013

Great product! Expensive but definitely worth it.

  • MATT01/17/2012

My wife wears this and it is very alluring.

  • SHERIDAN ELLIS07/19/2009

I must be a late bloomer because I just recently added this scent to my collection. Most of the rave of this scent seems to be over, but I know it has a lot of loyal followers, and I can see why. I think it is perfect as a year around scent. The ginger comes out on my skin, but it mixes well with the vanilla in the dry down...you don't smell like ginger in your face sushi type ginger......LOL, more like gingersnap cookies to me. It is yummy! I don't have any other scents quite like it, which is why I love it....I like the same "family" of parfums, spicy, vanillac, orientals-florientals, but each unique in their own way, and this fits the bill. The bottle is beautiful and worthy of a place on a woman's dressing table for sure! Cheers!

  • SMH06/14/2009

    Truly sickening,sweet-sweet & cheap-smelling. Instant whore!

  • ANNAMARIA08/14/2008

I bought the EDP last week, and they gave me a small tester of the EDT in the bag. I found the EDT much more distinctive and just as long lasting. It has more of a "bohemian" scent to it. So I took the EDP back and replaced it with EDT. It's been a week now of wearing JPG, and I love it just as much as I did initially - I often tire of a perfume after wearing nothing else for a week, so that's pretty amazing. I find it to be quite unique, but not overtly so, that it knocks people off their feet. It has a dusty, almost old-fashioned aroma to it which I just love.

  • !!_!!12/25/2007

Everything is wonderful.. the scent, the bottle, the name... all JPG scents are great, they all have strong personality and are very distictive. I love the mature bubble gum smell that came from this perfume.

  • GREEKGIRL10/21/2007

you really have to love ginger to wear this frag otherwise stay away, especially if you like those airy fairy scents and watery ones like Cool Water, i just happen to love ginger, love Classique and all the compliments that go with it!

  • MOLLY09/15/2007

It really smelled like too sweet candy. And to top it off the sprayer on the bottle broke!

  • BARBARA W07/17/2007

So pretty and feminine with a little moxie thrown in for good measure! It's not a quiet sort of fragrance, but rather for times when you are feeling outgoing and exuberant. And the LE bottles are fabulous!!

  • VICKY06/28/2007

Not a clasic perfume at all! Really sweet maybe soapy...I trayed today because I knew it but have never smelled it before. When I did I realise that allready knew this one...the perfume was familiar for me...my moms friends used to have this perfume! Very different fragrance but not for anyone...may be not for young gilrs

  • DEBORAH05/30/2007

this has been my signature scent ever since i first bought it in europe. every single male friend of mine (and quite a few women as well) have loved it and asked what it was at one time or another. it always gets positive commnets, even from strangers. what more could you want from a scent?

  • ANNA02/04/2007

This is the only fragrance I wear during the cold months of winter, it's warm, ambery scent makes me feel so sexy when ever I wear it. However, the scent can be strong if not used with a very light hand, one of the most common mistakes I notice women make when using heavy scented perfumes, so a little does go a long way with this one.

  • KC12/02/2006

This is my number one favorite scent in the fall/winter! It is so yummy and sexy and really just makes me feel good when I spray it on. I'm very sensative to smells, so I use it very lightly and it lasts forever. The shape of the bottle is a classic and I hear some of the special edition bottles are collector's items now.

  • ANNA11/20/2006

One time I tried it,and I could not get rid of it. It is very strong and nasty!!! For people who like to be in a syrup.

  • SABINA10/06/2006

This perfume smells like those plastic barbie dolls i used to play with. I think it may suit blonds only. Otherwise i cannot breath properly with this scent on, it's got a very musky vanilla plastic smell to it. Smells like vommit and makes me want to vomit.

  • GREEKGIRL09/24/2006

Hi JB, thanks for your help, i ended up using a magnifier and it is edt which i have, but you were spot on with the color, i just love the ginger in this one, i can see this smelling great on a guy, glad you enjoy it! thanks again, Helen.

  • JB09/20/2006

Hi, I'm a guy (I'm a 33 year "old man") & I wear & LOVE this stuff, it smells great on me & I get LOTS of compliments. I also LOVE the sexy bottles ;o)

  • JB09/20/2006

The mini bottles are available in EDT, EDP & Parfum (parfum version of Classique has been discontinued). The mini should have a tiny sticker on the bottom of the bottle stating the contents, if theres not a sticker on the bottle, you should be able to tell what type it is by the color of the juice, the EDT is a medium/light amber color, the EDP is a pink color, the parfum is a deeper amber color than the EDT. Hope this helps!

  • ALCHIMIE08/10/2006

Outstanding... amazing... fabulous... do I have enough words to describe it? How come there is no 100 stars to rate it? I mean this fragrance deserves more than 5! There is only one problem - too addictive! Gotta watch out not to go too crazy for it! Also, especially the parfum, lasts forever! I remember I so fell in love with it, I had to go back to the store and buy it, I wasn't sure so I picked out a miniature and... it was like $28.00, expensive for a miniature huh? Well instead of saying hell no I ain't buyin it, I said hm this is intriguing, if it costs that much - must be something special about it... and? When I got home, I discovered... it was a parfum!!! What an elegant way of making those lil miniatures! I mean 28.00 for a parfum is not expensive at all! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT, and whoelse loves those woman-corpse-shaped bottle? And all of those corsers and dresses?

  • SAPPHIRE08/09/2006

This is without a doubt one of the best and sexiest fragrances on earth. A Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance purchase should never be regretted. You will love it.

  • GREEKGIRL07/28/2006

Hello there, i wonder if anyone can tell me if the JPG mini is edt or edp, i purchased it and luv it, but i cant read the writing on the bottom (its too small) thanks for any help.

  • FRAGRANTONE07/26/2006

I wear both the edp and edt, and am heartsick that the pure parfum has been discontinued. With my chemistry, JPG dries down to sweetest, warmest amber/vanilla heaven that lasts and lasts (edp lasts far longer than edt). I own and wear dozens upon dozens of fragrances, but JPG is something special...it just blends so perfectly with my skin, as if it were made for me. A top contender for my favorite scent of all time; and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm glad fewer people are wearing it now. I want it all for myself! Like Casmir, I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

  • PERFUME LADY07/25/2006

This perfume is not good at all. It smells way too spicy and a little masculine. I honestly don't believe that it would smell good on any woman, whether 25 years old or 50 years old. My mother and I both tried it and we both could not stand it. It was just too strong. The bright side is that it might smell good on an old man.

  • M07/12/2006

Or does this smell mostly like lily-of-the-valley with amber undertones? Most posts note the amber, but why is it that I can only detect the lily-of-the-valley, which is not even listed as an ingredient or note? It reminds me a lot of Gucci Envy, but Envy is much colder whereas Classique is more powdery-warm. I was hoping for something more distinct and complex, although I do enjoy it very much; it doesn't seem to last as long as the average fragrance. I think I was expecting much more from all the hype.

  • SUZY06/14/2006

yes, they smell totally different, and to my nose, EDP is much MUCH better that EDT which smells very cheap and almost rude on me!!!! EDP is feminine, sexy and warm, while EDT is spicy spicy and nothing but spicy! also EDP has better staying power on me and bottle looks better, too :))))

  • RHONDA06/08/2006

I agree with JB, the EDT does smell better and last longer than the EDP. I thought it was just my nose, but I guess not!

  • JB05/15/2006

To my nose the EDP smells VERY different, its so tweaked that its almost like a whole different fragrance. Does any one else agree? I LOVE the EDT and the pure Parfum, they smell identical to me, except the Parfum is much stronger, but they have the same beautiful dry down. but I cannot wear the EDP, it just doesnt work on me. The EDP is more fruity and sharp, slightly sour, and pretty much stays that way, it doesnt dry down to those awesome, dreamy, comforting powder and vanilla notes which I LOVE in the EDT and Parfum. I thought that maybe I had gotten a bad bottle, but the sales person told me that it isnt the same & is a different formulation of the notes, and they also informed me that the pure Parfum version has been discontinued. I looked on JPG's website and the Parfum isnt listed anymore, just the EDT & EDP. I dont know why and it makes me sad that they would stop producing the best part of this collection, it makes absolutely no sense to me. Does anyone know if the parfum is completely discontinued or just here in the USA?

  • K.H.05/12/2006

Hi Rhonda, if you like vanilla, Shalimar is the queen of vanilla! It's the first perfume I fall for! I'm lucky to get hold of a PDT.(as it's difficult to find) Not much woman wore, even heard of, Shalimar in Hong Kong. So I feel unique when wear it on the street. Bulgari's Blu is also my fav.which I like to ware in summer, even in the heat here! The ginger give me some cool feeling. Lolita Lampica is my another vanilla choice. For amber, you should try Moschino's classic, which launch in the 80's. Not so many people discuss this one, but on me, it's sheer amber heaven! I always got compliment for it. Price is very reasonable. Sonia Rykiel (Orange T-shirt one) on me also have a wonderful amber dry-down. It's also a compliment getter for me! All above are easy to access, check them out to see if you like them!

  • CELIA05/09/2006

i think that this perfume is a lovely smell and it will stay on u all day through. Its a great frangrance.

  • RHONDA04/30/2006

Hi. I also love the vanilla and amber scents. What other scents besides JPG have these notes? I'm always looking for a new perfume to enjoy!!

  • K.H.04/28/2006

BTW,the new Gaultier2 had introduced in Hong Kong over six months. I've tested it and found it quite like the Classique at the top. The different is that it doesn't change much in the middle and the base is musk while the Classique is amber/vanilla. Musk is ok with me but I like amber & vanilla better. So my vote is still to the Classique. But I can see that if a right guy wear the Gaultier2, it can be sexy.

  • K.H.04/28/2006

When JPJ Classique first come out in the 93 in Hong Kong, every women (no matter young or old) wear it. I hated this smell on the street or bus or MTR so much, I never tried it on my skin. Recent years the rave of JPG faded and those watery floral take over the market. That is the time I tested JPG. Oh~ That's not what I smell on other people in the past. On me, it is sublte candy/buble gum ,follow with rose and florals and the drydown is florals & amber. I can't detact much vanilla, as amber & vanilla is my fave notes, but it is fine with me. I take every chance to take a few drops when I'm in the store last few months. I finally broke down to buy a 3.3oz EDP yesterday... I'm guilty with the purchase but happy finally own it. It's never too late to find new insight in the old goodies.

  • JB04/25/2006

Classique was inspired by Gaultier's childhood memories of his Grandmother's powder puffs and his mother's nail varnish. Back in the early 90s the first time I smelled this perfume, a warm, comforting, nostalgic, almost deja vu like feeling rushed over me. It was the strangest thing, never before and never since has a perfume effected me this way.

  • TAYA03/23/2006

this fragrance depends so much on the chemistry of the wearer, that it's not even funny. I puchased it and hated how it smelled on me. It was practically chocking me. I gave it as a gift to my best friend, and every time she would put it on I would be suprised by how nice and summery it smelled. Not overpowering at all. So I ordered it again :). Now I use it, very sparingly, and only in summer.

  • VANILLA03/22/2006

I use Gaultier2 body lotion and its very nice but in the begining its really strong

  • RHONDA03/18/2006

Has anyone tried the new unisex fragrance from Gaultier? It sounds like it would be good!

  • TINA02/09/2006

Well one of the best. Lou Lou is still my favorite, but so hard to find so I wear this as a consolations prize and I'm still happy. I will try Eden to see if that smells anything like LouLou then I'll have three top favorites! JPG is intoxicatingly beautiful a come hither scent that tickles your nostrils and makes you follow the person who wears it. In this case ME!

  • LESLEY01/14/2006

I wear this perfume all the time and absolutely adore it...was standing at thecheck out in the supermarket when a young man behind me suddenly asked me what perfume I was wearing as i smelt gorgeous....what could be better than that!!!! Other customers were most surprised!

  • SERINA01/07/2006

This is by far my favorite of all time i have been wearing it for years now. Everytime i wear it people always say wow you smell nice, its has a unique smell, its freshe exotic with a bit of a powdering smell to it. I love it.

  • SWAMIDEBBIE01/06/2006

Fragrances are subjective - how something smells depends on your own body chemistry, and what images certain smells evoke. I have been wearing this fragrance for years, and anytime I am around fellas, they ALWAYS want to know what I'm wearing: they tell me I smell divine; wow, that sure smells wonderful; etc. I think it's because the topnotes, plus my own chemistry, vlend to make a smell that hits the menfolk favorably. Anyway, it's best to remember that frangrances are blended in many different ways to suit many different people, or, to quote a famous philosopher..."different strokes for different folks."

  • PALESA12/21/2005

It's the best fragrance by far, it's unique, it's me, close friends, colleagues and other people that know me don't have to see that I am around, they just know when I am around.. Love it to bits ...

  • SABINA11/21/2005

So many posts here mention the sweetness, but it is also fresh. I notice the light fresh aspect to it. Find it very feminine.

  • KELLI09/19/2005

If you do not like this fragrance you are absolutely crazy!! This has to be my favorite. I have been wearing it for 4 years, and I can not let it go!! I recommend for all women!!

  • ERIN09/07/2005

When I was a freshman in college, my roommate wore this perfume. I still shudder at the memory. While I admit the bottle was pretty, what it housed certainly was not! I repeatedly asked my roomie to not wear the stuff, but she never stopped. In my opinion, it was scented of under-arm sweat, bad air freshener, and cats. I would always leave the room or open the window. It was like an instant headache. I never understood why she wanted to wear something that made her smell like she didn't shower... My boyfriend and our friends all agreed...no one found her "signature" to be appealing. For those of you out there who want a perfume that makes the general populace feel nauseated and light-headed, I certainly would say this is for you. Otherwise, hope that this stuff is never on a person in your general breathing vicinity. ...Although, I must say, it certainly left a memory I will not forget soon, but who wants to leave a trail of people behind them who secretly think you need some serious perfume advice? Even if you think it smells nice, everyone else begs to differ!

  • *MAYA*08/30/2005

This is such a intense fragrance - just screams at you! It's terrible that at some point so many women out there were swept by the craze and were wearing this stuff - similar to the Angel craze! The smell is intrusive, and synthetic, no depth to it, actually it's really irritating! I guess the cool packaging really sways the reasoning ability at times!

  • LEE ANN08/14/2005

I first smelled it in Paris on the premiere date of its release in 1993. I wanted it that day. I wait 2 years before I was able to buy it at a reasonable price in the states. I have been wearing it for 12 years now. I love it!

  • LIZZIE05/20/2005

maybe classic brings to mind dullness, or maybe i'm just not a fan of ambery smells (i find i don't like perfumes with amber in them)...but this one, i thought, was a boring fragrance in an exciting bottle. it smells okay...the good thing about it is that it doesn't smell like a teen or an old lady. not for me, though.

  • KRIS05/11/2005

I have acquired alot of fragrances in my quest to find a signature scent. This is it! This is the most intoxicating fragrance I have EVER worn!

  • KRIS04/24/2005

I love it! It's soft and sensuous and easy to wear. It makes me feel like Coco Mad. but there is nothing harsh in. I think this one is the best!

  • PRISCILA03/28/2005

Absolutely perfect. I ALWAYS get possitive comments when I wear this one. It's so SEXY!!!!!

  • KNUBIAN03/17/2005

By far, the most exquisite fragrance around. For those that say smells like urine, or is to strong check your body chemistry! You may need to wear cheap fragrances to mix with your bodies chemistry.

  • KELLY02/13/2005

I first bought this in '93, loved it back then, still love it now.I've recently bought another 100ml bottle. My perception of it has changed over the years though. In '93 it smelled like nice clean soap, now it smells more like the chewy ginger candy I used to like growing up. The other day my bf couldn't stop sniffing me because I sprayed it on my abs and under the cloths it is so subtle and yet it's there. He kept saying where is it coming from, it smells so sweet like candy or bubble gum..and yet, where is it, where's it from? You know you've sprayed it with just the right amount and at the right place when you get a comment like that. Subtleness is the secret to drive them nuts.

  • PAMELA01/26/2005

Since I discovered this fragrance, it has to be Gaultier or nothing at all. It is glamorous, sexy, and men LOVE it !

  • CRISTINA12/27/2004

this is my signature fragrance,my husband never noticed how good I do smell until I used this one,he compliments me all the time ,so I must wear only this one, why?Because first of all I want HIM to like my smell...the others doesnt matter...

  • HELEN12/10/2004

LINDY I AGREE WITH YOU. I DONT LIKE THIS AT ALL. BUT I REALLY LIKE THE BOTTLE. :)

  • REBECCA11/04/2004

sister in law wears this and i love it. it smells really good! floral oriental sent.

  • ZIMBWE09/12/2004

When I first tried JPG, I was unimpressed and couldn't see what the big deal was. I'm glad I stuck with it and tried to like it, because then I was eventually blown away by it. It is sexy, clean, and subtly alluring if you don't use too much. I am so impressed by it's staying-power, even into the next day without reapplying, although it doesn't blow other people away at the same time. Sometimes when wearing JPG, I am complimented by both men and women (6 or 7 in one day) wanting to know what it is. That gives me even more confidence to wear it. It is my favorite scent among many right now. Thanks!

  • LINDY09/03/2004

oh this just doesn't agree with my chemistry. I honestly think it smells like fresh urine when sprayed on and stale urine a couple hours later.I am not the only one who thinks this.

  • ANNA08/20/2004

Love it. Can't even count the number of men who have complimented me on the scent!

  • BOONY JEAN08/17/2004

I love the scent. It has something "Old world" about it. Reminiscent of an era of feminine elegance.

  • RHONDA06/11/2004

I just discovered this fragrance and I'm glad I did! I absolutly love it.This, BCBG Star, Hanae Mori, and Burberry are my favorites!

  • TRACI06/02/2004

This perfume can be worn with pearls and a gown or jeans and sneakers. It makes me feel like a goddess!

  • HOPE05/15/2004

I love this perfume. It has the most alluring scent that I must admit, even turns me on when I wear it :) A must have!

  • ROSIE04/08/2004

I love this fragrance but not my favourite but my fiance loves it so much for three months before our wedding day I stopped wearing that so when he smelt me on the day it made all the good memories come back! All my bridesmaids wore it too so everyone got the full effect!!

  • PAULINA03/19/2004

Sorry but this one is awfull, it is to stong. I would never wear this one.

  • GINA02/19/2004

Can anyone tell me what other fragrance/s this is similar to?

  • MAX02/19/2004

I do like this perfume but if i am sitting next to somebody at the theatre or something and it wafts into my face i jjst feel overpowered. Again a prime example of "overdoing it" Just a small spritz of this for me would do fine.

  • RENEE01/06/2004

    SMELLS GREAT

  • KELLY12/22/2003

Strong synthetic floral mixed with floor cleanser liquid - truely atrocious. Cheap, flat, annoying, nauseating. Woudn't recommend.

  • HUBERT12/16/2003

    I love it.

  • LAURA C.12/15/2003

I love the bottle and I love the ad,but the scent(that's what really matters)is plain, boring and quite cloying.Pity.

  • A&A12/01/2003

    A very cloying fragrance. *Cheap*.

  • LAUREN11/21/2003

Sexy, Seductive and Fresh. An amazing scent that would tame the wildest beast!!!!!

  • GLORIA11/13/2003

    Love it!

  • HOL11/03/2003

I loved the summer fragrance but ended up with this version for my birthday because the store stopped selling it in November. Too heavy of a scent for me.

  • STAR10/27/2003

i myself was not empress with the fragrance i only looked on the postive rate it mostly was good but i went back at looked at the not so good i agree 100%!!

  • MILENA10/24/2003

To me JPG smells like sun lotion- sweet & warm. Not for me.

  • EC 10/17/2003

Someone on this site recommended this one for people who like Angel/Hanae Mori/Herve Leger/Nirmala... So I did and I'm glad. It's a warm, sweet, and sensual floral oriental with hint of spice. It's mature and sexy. Unique perfume collector's bottle too. Great!

  • KIRSTEN10/16/2003

I'm onto my second bottle... its is so romantic, I am often complimented on the scent.

  • MABEL10/16/2003

This fragrance is very distinct. When poeple smell it, they know straight away that you are wearing Gaultier. I don't like fragrance like that. I want a bit of mystery on my fragrance.

  • CHERYL08/30/2003

My daughters and I just love this fragrance. It's the best among our perfume collection.

  • ELINE07/25/2003

    It's a Fantastic Perfume.. I Love it!!!

  • SUSAN07/02/2003

I bought this thinking it would be the uber female/ adult woman scent(the shape of the bottel and all), but i don't like it too much. It is way too strong and people won't say you smell great, but rather ask what the perfume is, which is so not a compliment! It is ok for evening and nights out, but a really bad day scent.

  • HISAKO06/19/2003

Strong and stayed toooo long. Smell? Too strong and could not tell. My daughter said "bugs killer smells" and I agreed.

  • ANNA06/09/2003

It makes me feel gorgeously sexy the second I spray it on and it makes my hubby wild!

  • SCENTGIRL05/28/2003

This was the first perfume I bought as "a grown up" when I was 17. Its quite sweet, but girlish. I wore it to death for years, but then I got sick of it, and wanted something sexier. One thing I notice about it is that it really travels. Its not overpowering by any means, but you can smell it on someone else instantly. Occasionally in the street I've caught a whiff of it on someone hurrying past, and got all nostalgic. I'm half thinking of buying it again, as it is yummy, but I'm not sure if I really have grown out of it for good.

  • TATIANA05/09/2003

I wonder how much some people spray on themselves that the fragrance makes them sick? For me one drop behind each ear, one drop in the decolte and one on each wrist is EXACTLY enough to feel myself on the seventh heaven. This perfume has the same addictivity as all the Gurlain's creations. If Eau de Perfume is too concentrated from your POV try to start with just one spray of EDT or even summer version and have patience to let it blend into your skin. The result will be fantastic!

At first i didn't like it at all. It smelled soapy and there was sth annoying about the scent but after a while it was just wonderful ! I think it IS one of the sweetest fragrances i know but the sweetness of JPG is delicious. It is very longlasting although it is just edt. And yes, men love it, that's true.

  • CATHY03/04/2003

Too sweet to wear it in summer it's definately a winter fragrance.Otherwise.......

  • KATHY G.02/11/2003

JPG is my kind of perfume! I had been sneaking over to the fragrance dept. where I work and spraying some of the JPG on my wrist whenever I could. I finally bought my own bottle, and I love it, but I'm a big fan of sweet oriental perfumes. To me, the JPG has lots of "personality" and depth. I like it from the top note to the dry down. It wears well, too. If you're an Angel/Wish/Nirmala/Herve Leger/Hanae Mori fan, you might like JPG, too. It's definitely not one of those light, sheer florals that are marketed to teens. JPG is sweetly spicy, and sophisticated. Now that I have to EDP, I'm going to get the body lotion, too.

  • JOE KEEN IS A TWAT02/03/2003

well done jean paul you are one of a few that actully fulfills ma needs ina fragance.

  • AMK02/01/2003

Wow....way too sweet! A full bottle still sits on my dresser.

  • CONNIE01/29/2003

Couldn't resist the bottle, so I bought this perfume "untested." In the bottle, it's sickening -- sweet, cloying & artificial. On my skin, though, it settles down. Although it does have a soapy note, I don't mind it. I don't think there will be a repeat purchase, though. One bottle is enough.

  • KELLI01/29/2003

jean paul is the most lush smell and is much nicer than allure!!!! keep up da good work!!!!!!

  • MICHAEL01/21/2003

The best a women could wear.

  • KBN01/04/2003

I'm a devoted Issey fan but did finally give this a try. I think it has a sexy but mature smell.

  • DEBBIE12/31/2002

    delicious

  • JOSSETTE12/20/2002

I tried to wear it after reading the comment that it's better than allure, but one of my friend pointed out it's possibly turns out to be very bad , like a subway in Paris!!!

  • VIKTORIYA12/13/2002

i never had a perfume as long lasting as this one who is looking for a strong then a bit sweet but not very flowery perfume for the special evening i would SO RECOMEND THAT PERFUME!!!! THE COMPLEMENTS JUST DON'T STOP ...people stoped me on the streets a lot just to ask me what i'm wearing...i loved it...

  • MAYA11/03/2002

...O.K,The scent itself is...pretty bad,but you have to admit, those bottle designs he comes up with are simply kick assfab!! Still, I refuse to buy a godawful fragrance for its bottle,no matter how great.

  • NATALIE10/29/2002

I am a devotee of Chanel's Allure, but I finally think that I've found something that I like better! This stuff is delicious...definitely a fall fragrance! :-)

  • APHRAEL10/01/2002

Oh,puke.I hate this one.It has no depth,no mystery,no class...Just a bunch of synthetic extracts thrown together. It doesn't bond with the skin,it just sits on it,waiting to get in the face of the innocent victim who will approach.I think that J.P.G should stay out of the perfume market and take to designing only the bottles.

  • MARK08/29/2002

This stuff is amazing!....my girl uses it, and it just totally turns me on. It´s the best fragance for evening wear.

  • GTHANG06/28/2002

JPG IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES! SOMEWHAT HARD TO FIND IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS, SO THAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER.JUST WANTED TO GIVE JEAN PAUL GAULTIER HIS PROPS!!

  • LIZ SEXSON06/10/2002

I love it! Received many compliments on the fragrance. Just right - not too heavy. Anxious to try the summer fragance. The packaging is great! I'm starting the collection of designs. Too bad the black velvet design is no longer available! Keep up the excellent fragance designing JPG!

  • LORI06/10/2002

This is the most amazing perfume i have ever smelt. it is so wonderful i get withdrawles if i dont wear it everyday. people come up to me and tell me i smell great, and i believe it because this is truly the most amazing perfume ever. It's as if it has come from another world-thats how delightful it is. i love it...

  • LOLA06/07/2002

to me it smells synthetic, plastic, too sweet and artificial.

  • MARIE04/13/2002

I bought a mini, thank god. Rather than throwing it away, I decided to use it with Calgon Hawaian ginger body lotion. The heavy, heady perfume suddenly turns into a marvel of smoothness. Try it!

  • LAURA04/11/2002

Love it, its always reconised...especailly by MEN!!!

  • LAYLA04/08/2002

I wore this perfume to my Senior Prom - it actaully was a gift from an exchange student friend from Switzerland - Once my boyfriend smelled it - he couldn't keep his hand of me !!! While dancing he kept telling me how wonderful I looked and smelled, then gave butterfly kisses on the spot I sprayed it on. By the end of the night, he eats everything from the palm of my hand !!!

  • CARLA04/02/2002

    Aimee has said it all

  • BRENDA03/04/2002

Have the whole line of JPG it is absolutely divine

  • PINKIE02/25/2002

I was given this perfume as a gift, and as soon as opened the package and sprayed, the whole household began to sneeze! Yes this a strong perfume, but I am glad to have it for collectible reasons. I like the bottle, not he heavy overy woody perfume.

  • BECKY J.02/16/2002

This fragrance is one of a kind, it doesn't smell like all the rest. The scent says "exclusive" and it's not for everyone. I love it, it's one of my favorites.

  • JESSICA02/11/2002

I wear this one occasionally and have always been complimented on the way it smells. It seems to be one of those perfumes that can only work with just the right body chemistry else it smells sickeningly sweet as it has on several of my friends who've tried mine out. I like it a lot.

  • JOANNE02/11/2002

I love this fragrance. Bought it on impulse while in NYC, and wear it constantly. I get TONS of compliments and inquiries from both men and women. All my other prefumes are just collecting dust. Unfortunately, there are no stores in my area that carry it - so I gues I'll just have to travel back the Big Apple to do my part in stimulating the economy. Just so you don't think I'm too overly ebullient, I find the lotion too overpowering and cloying. Stick with the shower gel and perfume - it's all you need.

  • ZEKIYE12/23/2001

I know I should not like this because it smells rather too risquee for me but I just cannot resist it. It is like playing dress-up in your mom's clothes.

  • AIMEE12/19/2001

Floral; fruit; not very exciting; too sweet - like candy; cold; drydown is vanilla

  • PERFUMEGIRL12/06/2001

    NO WAY!!!

  • ANDREA G.11/20/2001

Why did he (J.P.Gaultier) make such a great fragrance for men (Le Malle) and such a sickening crap for women? Jean Paul Gaultier Le Malle is really one of the best men fragrances, and JPG-for women is awful.

  • TERI11/09/2001

The Men's JPG is intoxicating to women ... hard for us to keep our self control. It smells wonderful! Very Sexy!

  • COLESLAW10/28/2001

This did NOT work for me. It has this super-strong soapy note that literally gave me a headache.

  • KARINA10/28/2001

I really want to like this scent, because I *love* Gaultier's clothes, and the bottle is fabulous. Sadly, though, this fragrance just sickens me. It is one of the few out there that I have this reaction to- normally, I can appreciate almost any perfume in it's own way, but I'm not exaggerating when I say this turns my stomach. There's something in it that smells sickly sweet and almost rotten or rancid. His new one, "Fragile" is a little better, but still not the greatest. Too bad the bottles for both are so appealing- they are much better than the scents inside!

  • MIREILLE10/27/2001

Heavy and even a little bit vulgar.

  • VIKI09/17/2001

There's something CHEAP in it. Yes, I've heard - many men love it, ha-ha-ha, it doesn't surprise me. There are many sexy but classy fragrances.

  • ELENA08/21/2001

Definatly for the winter or summer's evening! sweet and sexy!

  • MARYO07/17/2001

Wonderful - finally found a fragrance I love - makes me feel sexy

  • RUBY07/07/2001

a lot of vanilla. oriental. not too complex

  • CAROLOU07/05/2001

Such a long wearing, people drawing fragrance...sexy with the slightest touch of sweet spice....makes you wannnnnaaa.......giggle......for the real woman in YOU....buy it.

  • JANETTE07/02/2001

This has become my signature perfume....I will wear no other.....I have had numerous comments by men that they love the subtle, lingering scent that this perfume emotes long after you spray it on......

  • JENNIFER05/22/2001

This has become my signature fragrance. I know so many people who have told me that they thought of me whenever they smell it. Not to mention that it has the coolest packaging ever!

  • ILENE05/01/2001

This perfume is one of a kind long lasting a little sweet ,but not too much.i love it!

  • GARY04/24/2001

My wife loves it and so do I. Long lasting

  • MARGOT01/30/2001

This is a very warm and friendly smell. Cosy, inviting. Something intimate for the winter.
