I was extremely happy to find a fragrance that was no longer available in the department store

I am a longtime customer of Lancome since 1975. I love their scents. The best one I believe is Attraction. I never thought they could out do Magie Noir but they came out with Tresor, then, Attraction...Why stores have stopped selling it I'll never know. I am just happy it is available here.

Lucy, staying power may be different from person to person. Fx. the staying power of all Elizabeth Arden fragrances is really poor on me but they last all day with a small spritz on my mother in-law. What does your bottle look like? The regular fragrance/beauty counters no longer sell Attraction here but there's a cheap looking longer bottle in the supermarkets at half the regular price and it's often on sale for a fraction of the price Attraction used to cost. I'm a little suspicious. I haven't tested it yet.

I don't know what these other people are talking about. I just bought some, put it on in the morning and I can still smell it tonite when I got home. It has a nice warm floral woodsy smell, not too strong but you don't want to overdo it when you first put it on, one squirt will do you the whole day.

I gave my bottle away. It's very pleasant, nothing at all wrong with it, a creamy, sweet, woodsy scent. It smells like quality ingredients, but something about woodsy fragrances - some woody accord or particular note perhaps, and I don't know what it is - doesn't work well on me. And this is one of those. I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else though.

This is a wonderful sent...on me. I get tons of compliments when I wear this. Do people that are writing the reviews not understand that everyone has different chemistry to their skin? It last all day on my skin and I don't drown myself in the perfume.

I sampled this, liked it and bought it. What a mistake! Its staying power is about 15 minutes. Has Attraction always been this weak? I'm going back to my trustworthy Fantasia...

This is too costly for me to wear on a daily basis so I wear it for evenings. I'm in a panic state because I'm running out of it and can't afford to replace it. As I've stated elsewhere, it's no secret that I'm a Lancome loyalist (when I can afford to be;-)) and like the other Lancome scents it has a fantastic lasting power on me. I was given this scent when I was 27, I'm 30 now and it's still appropriate. I don't really assign age to a scent but unlike many evening perfumes this one doesn't overpower me. I look 16-20 all depending on whom you ask so I have to find a balance between scents that suit my youthful look and the mature woman I know I am. This is always a difficult balance!

I just ran across this scent at the flea market for $15, i took one whiff and fell in love. I have worn Attraction almost every day for two weeks since I bought it, and I usually change my scents almost daily. It stays on me all day long with just a few sprays. i may be weird but this scent is great and mysterious-I classify it as an oriental fruity scent. i love J'adore, amor amor, light blue, hypnose, and lovely-so i have a wide love of different fragrance types. So if you love any of those u may or may not like this one. But i feel as though this may become my signature scent and J'adore has held that title for almost 3-4 years now.

This is my favourite Lancome scent. I feel so grown up and confident wearing this. I feel like I'm in my sexy 30's, not my dawdy 30's. Its fresh, definitely not over-powering. I have to use quite a lot of sprays as I'm so use to the heavier, knock 'em over types of perfumes. This is so elegant. Highly recommended.

attraction isnt my signature fragrance or anything but its pretty decent. i got it as a gift, but i would not purchase because i have better ones on my wish list.

Meh. Pleasant and not offensive, but not at all remarkable either (in my opinion, of course, please don't be offended, ladies who wear it well!). It lasted barely an hour on my skin. I expect a quality scent to last several hours, at the very least; the standouts last all day. Reading over the comments, I see that I am not alone in this 'fleeting' Attraction experience.

A friend had this on. I asked her and she told me "Attraction" her husband bought the set. It smelled so good. To me it was spicy with incense I may be wrong it was very very nice. I don't have it yet!

The scent is not bad, just boring and does not have ANY lasting power. The scent ought to linger on one's clothes, and after spraying tons on at the store, there was NO smell left by the end of the day. SAD

I love this scent, but can't get it to last. I've tried it w/ shower gel, lotion, body cream, even the body oil. It has no lasting power which makes it a waste of money.

My nose has detected other aromas in this. I don't like this at all now. The smell reminds me of synthetic chocolate. I did give it a chance, but (1) it doesn't smell pretty on me (2) it fades pretty quickly

When I sprayed the tester on the back of my hand and went away - I liked it. So I bought it but shortly after changed my mind after spraying it in my usual spots. It starts off okay (nothing with a Wow factor), but in next to no time it dwindles into an insipid uninspiring tone which just gets up your nose.

This fragrance is delicious. I fell in love with it right away. The 1st time I wore it, my husband couldn't get me into bed fast enough!

I just tried Hypnose, and now Im going to buy a larger bottle. Scent is great. It reminds me of Herve Leger. Staying power is fine. Lotion before would be better. Love the scent.

Hi Louise, I too love Hypnose but dont have any problems with staying power, if fact it lasts for ages on me, you could try a tester for it just to check if you have a bad bottle, and if you do take it back to the store, if not, you could try layering it with vanilla body lotion(body shop has a good one) seems to make my fragrances last longer, hope you have some luck, by the way did i mention how much i love love love this fragrance! THE BEST!

I know this isn't the hypnose section, please excuse me for butting in but there isn't one on here yet. Now about hypnose....it's amaaaaazing!!! i adore adore adore this, i really have a problem with thestaying power-is it just me?? i fnd myself reapplying every hour or so, does anyone else find this scent wont last on them or have a got a bad bottle?

this perfume just doesn't attract anything. it's not bad, but it's far from a good perfume. and i had to put on half a bottle to feel anyhting. (and i have the perfume version- got it as a present). it's too bad that this is the succesor of such great perfumes like tresor and magie noir.

Very sweet, soft, feminine scent. Really doesn't last as long as I'd like it to though.

hypnose lasts and lasts.I sprayed some on my coat -as i was already wearing something - to test hypnose at the mall and the next day i cldn't stop smelling my coat when i wore it.So i guess it lasts atleast on clothes.Tho test it on u'rself before buying as everyone has different chemistry and what lasts on me might not do so for u.

I think this scent is sensuous and classy. I encourage others to give it a try, and not be put off by the low scores.

Well to be honest this is one of those 'nice' smells that is plain and subtle and really does not stand out in any way... but is pleasant to be around... Character of blah to me however... But I'm sure it can smell really nice and fresh on someone who would enjoy or is looking for just that. I however look for something with mystery and depth something that moves and shakes and spins and rages and gets your imagination into loops and circles and ... ok so I sound like I'm looking for a scent the equivalent of a poltergeist... but really I'm not... Then again I really love Deep Night Ghost (hehehe), I love Addict and Nu and Black Cashmere and Kingdom and Libertine and Presence and Samsara and Deep Red but I also love Lovely too and Ruby Lips and Cashmere Mist... Attraction is just too flat for me and reminds me of girls who wear little flower summer dresses and wear flowers in their hair and well that's just not me... I like intrigue and mystery and love bright colors like fuscia and deep red and bright yellow I love to wear black though and rich purple... and tight leather (not the biker-chick style) although I used to race a few years ago... Attraction is pretty, but not a whole lot of fun! So it falls flat and just disappoints... but watch out for Hypnose cuz that one you can count on to ignite a few well calculated FIRES :)

i'm desperate to buy the new hypnose by lancome, i smell it on a co worker every day and she smells just amazing! could anyone tell me what the lasting power is likeon this perfume? i'm so sick and tired of perfumes not lasting on me. many thanks, jessica x

can't understand why this one is not very popular! i think it smells great although doesn't last long like Tresor.

Considering that I like the name and the package of the perfume I expected a lot more of this product. And I don't think it's my chemistry coz I don't even like the scent right out of the bottle...nothing feminine about it. The very strong patchouli IS distubing. To be honest it smells a bit manly to me. Although I have to admit that when I wore it I got a compliment from a men of how nice I smell I don't find it sexy and seductive by no means and would never use it even if it was free!...

I was very disappointed with this fragrance. Very strong and musty, unpleasant scent. It is heavy to describe it, there's a strong moss/woody & patchouli note in it and all in all it is not very complex. Tart and repulsive, not feminine at all.

I really don't see anything special about this perfume....to me just very ho hum. Maybe it is my chemistry...don't know, but I will not wear it again. I am not a big Lancome fan and do not like any of their perfumes except Magie Noir. Tresor smells like bug spray to me.

Lancome certainly created a flop in this fragrance. Not feminine at all. Very strong when first applied and the drydown is not pleasant either. Save your money or buy a well-known drugstore brand of fragrance. You'll be much happier and think of the money you'll save. Tresor is wonderful and how they could market Attraction and thinkit would be well-received is beyond me.

All I got from this was pine trees...in fact I think that's how they described it in lucky magazine when it first came out! Not for me, just freaky. Like room spray...

Lancome now has a pure parfum in Attraction. I saw it at the Lancome outlet when shopping on vacation. The parfum is stronger and may work for some the posters here that say Attraction lacks staying power.

Love it! Tried it once before and didn't think it had staying power. This time around I felt it lasted on me. I'm glad I gave it a second chance. Very lovely scent.

The new Summer Attraction is really great. It has a bit of bergamot added to the earthiness of Attraction. I love it and it has great lasting power. I recommend!

I'm just worried that many women will take a glance at the poor scores Attraction's been getting here and not give this lovely fragrance a chance. At first, I didn't think it was anything special, but then Christmas came and there were all sorts of special prices and gift sets and I wound up buying the EDP. Now it's firmly found its place as one of my favourites. It's very subtle, feminine, not too heavy, with a freshness that stays with you and that patchouli note just giving it staying power. Unless you loathe patch, you might want to check it out (good comments from men and women, too).

I hope some of you who look at these rather dismal scores and unfavorable comments will try Attraction anyway. At first, I wasn't crazy about it, but I started to crave the scent and eventually couldn't get it out of my mind. It doesn't scream out at you: it whispers gently and seductively. My guy really likes it, and I know every time I wear it I feel really put-together and womanly, without being overtly 'sexy'. In fact, I now think it's Lancome's best fragrance to date -- very contemporary and original!!

Smells far better on the paper card than on me! Also, the fragrance didn't last. To me, it's a rather ordinary, plain, simple scent. Can certainly live without it!

I didn't like anything about this fragrance, from the initial top notes to drydown. Awful on me.

Oh, it lasts...which is not necessarily a good thing..because the patouli is very/too strong after a while. A little goes a long way! Unfortunately, this perfume doesn't quite live up to the name.

I wanted the scent right away. It smelled great on the sample petal. I bought it, I wore it, but it disappears on me in a short time. Maybe it's me?

I got this perfume for a Valentine's gift from a man, that is beginning to have a strong attraction to me. I have been waiting for him, maybe Attraction will make me irresistable to him!!! Attraction makes me feel really feminine, but i do wish it lasted longer.

I don't know about you all,but I think I agree with sarah 100%. This fragrance just doesn't seem to cut it,even the name as well. Sorry,I'd rather get something else for my money's worth,don't you think?

Really very attractive, at least on me.I ordered a mini because I was curious about this. I´ve read it has som patchouli notes but honestly I can't find them, and I'm really happy I didn't:-).Give ti a try if you are 20 ore more.I'm 26 and i'm beginning to like these feminine scents, such as Attraction, Coco Mme etc.

you have to be pretty like me to wear this fragrance. its made for pretty people only. so if it doesn't smell good on you....try happy or something.

I don't like the patchouli in it. This fragrance smells like you're wearing incense. Not "attractive" to me. If you like incense, burn some incense to smell that, but I really wouldn't wear it.

A little disappointing to say the least- it really should smell much more alluring than it actually does with a name like Attraction- ah well, another one bites the dust.

I liked this fragrance when I tried it on in the store, and subsequently snagged a sample. Normally I'm not drawn to spicy scents - certainly NOT patchouli - however, I've found this fragrance to be pleasant and not overpowering. It seems to work with my chemistry and has a nice warm scent. I've received some complements on it, and am considering purchasing a bottle.

I love this scent. The dry down has a hint of patchouli which I normally can't wear, but in attraction I can. To get this scent to last I have been wearing the Attraction body oil with it as a moisturizer. That makes it linger a bit better. Maybe Lancome will come up with an Intense version of Attraction like Miracle.

This perfume is wonderful. It is very feminine and spicy at the same time. I like Miracle Intense and Poeme by Lancome. Attraction wears a long time. Is a good scent. I want to wear very heavy, spicy scents but some give me a headache. This one works. I Love it!

I bought this last week and have been wearing it ever since. I love the scent--but it just doesn't last at all. I think it disappears about 2 hours or less after application. It does remind me a lot of Chanel Chance.--That one is so STRONG, but maybe it would be a better investment.

I chose amazing for my subject because I have never had so many men go ga-ga over a perfume that I wore until I bought Attraction!

i got it as a present!!! I wouldn't recommand it, cause if you are going to spend soo much money on an expensive perfume, you would want the smell to last too. It disappears after sometime. I would rather perfer estee lauder's Pleasure than this.

very warm and clean.. I wear it in the afternoon or right before sleep. it makes me relax.. however, I don't think it has unique smell.. just average.. however,, I still have to give it full credit b/c it is my favorite night perfum.

was buying in one country to use in another - believe it or not smelt differently in both counties.went by the name - but...did not get what i wanted. i want to be able to recognise the perfume on others (like jean paul gaultier classique) but i can't with attraction. mayby not for me..

Very average product, nothing special

I really enjoy this scent. I got it as a sample and tried it. The first day I was not sure how I felt, after the end of the second I was hooked. Subtle and sensual.

I sampled it at my favorite department store this past weekend and I love it. I can't get the scent out of mind! I will be adding this fragrance to my collection!

I was unpleasantly surprised by the whiff of patchouli I got after it dried down. It's kind of sexy, but didn't last long enough for me to form a firm opinion. Nothing special.
