There is something harsh about this perfume and I bet you anything Chanel are in the process of producing a "sister" for it like they have with Chance. I have found a perfume called Badgley Mischko which is very similar to Mademoiselle but not so harsh. I got it in The Bay (Canada). Worth a try for those who are interested.

This is my favorite by far - so elegant! I love alot of perfumes but this is a special treat for me to wear. I think that the "metallic" note people keep talking about would be better described as peppery...which I love to break up the sophistication and elegance of it. It definitely captures the spirit of a mademoiselle.

I do want to like this fragrance. Everyone recommends it as an elegant fragrance, but I think it is brash. The composition is harsh to my nose and I don't find it to be anything special. I'd rather wear original Coco if I am going to wear Chanel.

I too notice a metallic smell to this, i have it in parfum, i dont hate it but dont really enjoy wearing it either, but the funny thing is that its my most complimented frag, gee why does this happen with the frags i dont really enjoy!
