| Dear Maya, you wrote a nice review. Masquerade is a beautiful soft-fruity-woody-oriental, a very feminine fragrance. Uncomplicated and delicious!!! I can smell peach, apple, roses, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. The drydown is wonderful powdery and I find it similar to TRESOR by Lancome. Maybe there is a similarity to Burberry classic (apple/musk) too? Not a spectacular fragrance, but very pleasant and comforting. Here a description by Jan Moran: Masquerade by Bob Mackie for Women.

Scent Type: Floral - Oriental.
Top Notes: Freesia, mandarin, lily of the valley.
Heart Notes: Violet, passion flower, jasmine, osmanthus.
Base Notes: Sandalwood, musk, woods.

| I have finally found this in a store that usually carries fragrances which have been long discontinued by big department stores.... I've been so intrigued to try it and now so happy to have it :) "Masquerade is a deep, seductive scent that wears a shimmering mask of fruity frivolity. The scent begins with notes of peach, golden mimosa, passion flower, exotic jasmine, and orchid followed by a rich and smooth midnote of vanilla. The basenote blend and combination of a sensual Cashmere accord of warm woods and sheer musks, amber, and woods can't be mistaken for anything other than sensual sexuality" It truly is a beautiful fragrance. Two thumbs up!! |
