Laura Ashley #1 was my signature fragrance. They quit making it years ago and so you are buying "antique " perfume. It has obviously gone bad. It was lovely and I mourned its passing. I still miss it to this day. If it ever comes back I will buy the 55 gallon drum size.

I used to wear No. 1 and also received tons of compliments. I recently bought Laila and thought that it had notes similar to No. 1, but with a watermelon note. Hopefully you can sample Laila and see if it works for you.

I first bought this perfume in Paris, but when I returned to the United States I couldn't find it in any stores in my area. I was finally able to find it online! This is my favorite scent and my husband is disapointed when I wear anything else!

How does this or Dily's compare to No.1? Pia, No.1 brought me more compliments than anything else I've ever worn. Subtle but apparently lovely to others. Perhaps an air-exposed bottle? My last of this discontinued cologne, not spray, did go bad.
