| I have been wearing Shalimar since the 60's and refuse to wear anything else .... it has to be the right one for you to really take advantage of the scent. I have has strangers come up to me wanting to know what it is - mostly men, drives them wild!!! For me there is NOTHING else!!!! |

| To me, this smells like rosemary and powder. I just can't get into it beyond that. I find it strong and penetrating and outdated. |

| I think some samples get old sometimes at the counters. The new lotions in the new blue bottles do not have the same Shalimar scent they had before. The light scent is a strange variation. I don't love the new packaging--but the scent is still lovely. |

| Sorry, you had to experience Shalimar in 2008. When I first wore this fragrance, it was in the seventies. It was much better than, and full bodied, then now. I know they've "tweaked" it since then. I smelled a bottle in Bloomingdale's and thought it was horrible, next to what it was. Maybe the parfum is still good, but the EDT was horrendous to me. All in all, it WAS a lovely fragrance, and is better than some of the cr*p out there now. |
