  • P.S. MARCAIDA06/04/2015

...It reminds me of young invincible care-free romance. It is sweet, almost buttery, soft and dreamy...

  • SHARON12/14/2011

Very fast delivery, excellent service, 100% authentic. I Would definately recommend to others buying Miss dior cherie. I have been a regular customer with galaxy for a while now & I have bought many perfumes. I am very pleased with this item. Thankyou.

  • CHERYL01/24/2011

I am so glad I finally tried Miss Dior Cherie! I just love it, it's so fresh smelling I love floral/fruity/fresh type scents with some depth and this is just right not too sweet and has incredible staying power! I love that I get whiffs of it through out the day like it's mean't for my skin chemistry. I don't find it is only for young women I am in my 40's and I've had many people ask "what are you wearing you smell wonderful" ! Love it!

  • DEE409/27/2010

Smells similar to Chanel Coco Madamoiselle. (but lasts longer)

  • SHERIDAN ELLIS06/28/2009

Estee Lauders pleasures delight. It is a gourmand smell for sure. I used this all throughout last summer, so I have memories of a trip and outings with my children of 2008 that flood back to my senses when I smell this now. I love associating different occassions with various fragrances. It keeps my olfactory senses sharp and even though some of the memories may be sad ones (say, the funeral of my dear grandfather), I still appreciate them for what they were in my life at the time I lived it. This perfume has a sweet strawberry smell to it for sure, but it is tamed quickly by a vanilla sort of aldehyde smell that took me awhile to appreciate, but that I reallly enjoy. Try it! The bottle is so pretty for your dressing table too! :) cheers!

  • CHERRIE02/18/2009

When I first smelled this scent it reminded me of a classy school teacher,or some other sopisticated woman. I wanted something different {for me}and unique. I definetly think I found it with this spring-time floral scent.

  • HOLLYC12/12/2008

was given a tester of this and tried it yesterday. Horrid, sugary, fruity, "modern" mess! Heartbreaking that it is to easily found and the classic, elegant Miss Dior is harder to find than a unicorn. I guess if Dior won't miss my money, I'll give it to another fragrance house.

  • RUTH11/19/2008

I'm looking for the old parfum called just "MISS DIOR" BY CHRISTIAN DIOR not cherie just miss dior, cant find it anywhere, what happened to it, please help!!

  • SHERIDAN09/07/2008

I like this scent as a comforting, casual staple to go to when I am in jeans or running about on a Saturday. It is pleasant, and my kids like the vanilla/gourmand accord to it. That always seems comforting to them for some reason...I tend to look for vanilla based scents done right that the whole family can enjoy for that reason....Sexy factor for my hubby, comfort factor for the kiddos....everyone wins! Wink! This is just a very pricey run of the mill type scent that is so similar to so many of the new ones on the market right now. I would put it in the same group as Fancy, Pleasures Delight, Pink Sugar (w/out the sickening cotton candy/burnt sugar thingy).....

  • SHERIDAN ELLIS07/10/2008

Well ladies, after MUCH sniffing and investigating many many parfums, eau's and toilettes today, it came down to two...my insolence and miss dior cherie....i tried not to let the name persuade me as my nickname happens to be sheri...I always go for oriental, deep dark type perfumes, but really wanted something different and floral for the summer. This is way out of my comfort zone. My kids love it, my hubby loved it, and I am amazed at how great it mixes with my chemistry. We will see about lasting power....The last "sumer/beachy" type fragarance I purchased was Breathless by V.S. I wish they had never discontinued it. I thought it was a wonderful summer scent. Anyway, it was a very expensive bottle (so be sure to test it first!) and I justified it by saying it was a belated birthday gift to myself since I was on a mexico mission trip for my b-day! Happy perfuming!

  • MATURE GIRL06/30/2008

If I can only purchase one at this time, should it be Miss Dior Cherie, Pleasures Delight, or Coco Mademoiselle? Thanks for input from anyone.

  • T REX04/28/2008

Miss Dior Cherie makes me think of a float made from strawberry icecream and lite beer. At first sniff, it simply says "strawberry," but there is a surprising edge to it. It's neither sour nor metallic... but cold, sparkling, and a teeny bit bitter (think the refreshing, slightly medicinal taste of energy drinks or champagne). It's also a little plasticky, like those lipglosses made for little girls. It really is more than a sum of its unusual parts, however. It's really classy, yet young and fresh. I love it.

  • BLONDIE12/29/2007

For the young and young at heart. Every scent does not need to be so serious. This is a fun one for a change. Love the bottle too.

  • LAUREN11/01/2007

This was recommended to me by a 20 something consultant at Sephora. I tested this at home and initially really liked it then it just turned medicinal and metallic on me. This is sweet and slightly green at the same time. After about 30 min I think I smell like my husbands deoderant, which on a sexy woman is not a good thing. I can't say who this scent is right for because it smells so wrong.

  • CARINA09/10/2007

I purchased the 1 ounce bottle and wear it during the day especially if I am going to be outdoors or at the gym. I dont consider this to be a sexy fragrance. There is something light and playful about this scent that I love, however, I it wont be a signature scent for me. I prefer to spray into the air or spritz from a distance on my clothes. I dont like to wear this on my skin

  • ALBA08/02/2007

My age is showing but who remembers the baby dolls (not the barbies) from the 60's. This scent smells just like the plastic dolls. And I hated it then. What is with all of the fruity smelling perfumes? Who wants to smell like a fruit? All of the old Dior fragrances are wonderful. Miss Dior, Diorissimo (glorious) and Diorella (an original citrus) This scent made me sick on first spritz.

  • BARBARA W07/26/2007

I just sampled Estee Lauder's Pleasures "Delight". If you like Miss Dior Cherie, I would say definitely give Delight a try.

  • KATE05/23/2007

This is class in a bottle, something clearly lost on certain people...ahem lassie. Its chic, classic yet young & so delicious.

  • LASSIE05/09/2007

I hate hate hate this! Sweet, fruity, generic Bath & Body Works stuff, which comes in a beautiful bottle. I see this as a desperate grab for the 'youth market' by Dior. I guess if you're daddy's lil' princess with a fat allowance, you may be moved to buy this to toss into your big ugly Coach bag. Why not? Otherwise, go into the artificial-fruit emporium, BBW, and save a lot of that fat allowance.

  • BARBARA W05/05/2007

...now that I'm 40, these type of scents don't feel sophisticated enough for me to wear, so for *me* it would be an around the house, casual scent. A younger gal could pull this off better.

  • BARBARA W05/05/2007

If you're looking for a lighter, drier version of Butterfly, buy this. They are so similar (to my nose, anyway) that Cherie could almost be marketed as a summer version of Butterfly. Cherie is less sweet and not as voluptuous as Butterfly, but would be perfect when you want a more subtle scent. It has a nice "bite" to it that makes it refreshing, like when you add fresh lemon to sweet iced tea. Both Cherie and Butterfly have strawberry leaves as a main note (and yes, it *does* smell like strawberries), but the effect in Cherie is a strawberry patch in a summer garden, whereas Butterfly is strawberry dessert. The man I was with absolutely loved Cherie and said he "could smell this all day". I really do like it, it just reminds me so much of Butterfly that I can't help but feel it's been done before. I'd like to own a bottle, but will probably wait until the prices come down a bit. Overall, extremely pretty and feminine and a great choice for almost any occasion as it's not ovewhelming in any way. I'd give it five stars if I had never smelled Butterfly. Enjoy!

  • DEZ03/26/2007

After reading a bunch of positive reviews of this scent, I stopped by my local Sephora's to get a sample. Initially, I thought it was too sweet, but took the sample anyhow. The smell reminds me of candy. Like...a gel candy. The kind of scent that might make little kids stalk you with home made cards and flowers. It's youthful, free-spirited, playful, sexy, flirty. I wore it to work today just to give it a chance. I'm really starting to like this scent. I might get myself a small bottle. I'd like to give it more time though. for example, I Love the way Therry Mugler's Angel smells on my co-worker so I got a sample for myself. I liked it for a couple of days and then found it kinda masculine; not girly enough for me. Thank God for samples! So, I'll wear this a few more days. If I don't buy this, I might go back to my True Star for a while as I still Love that scent. Just wanted to try something new. Thanks for taking the time to read this. :)

  • LAURA03/07/2007

This is generally my signature scent. It's a perfect day to night scent that is appropriate for every occassion. Soft and sweet, but not overpowering.

  • AMY03/06/2007

i love the bottle and the way it smelled in the magazine but it kinda gave me a headache when i tried it on. ended up giving it friend who loves all dior perfumes. wasted 60 bucks!! oh well

  • JULIA02/27/2007

i wore it one day at work and the stench was in my nose all day,it was horrible smelled like sour fruit by the end of the day! couldn't wait to get home and wash it off.thank god it was a sample!

  • MARA02/05/2007

After reading all the comments about this fragrance, I am anxious to try it. I keep hearing everyone say that is smells like strawberries, yet the ingredient list says that it has strawberry LEAVES. Do they smell like strawberries also? I would think they would smell different. Anyway, for those of you who do not like fruity smells and want to smell womanly and divine, I recommend, Missoni, Coriandre and Jolie Madam. These scents are all fabulous and will get you raves from both sexes.

  • DULCE02/04/2007

Quite frankly, I can't stand myself when I spritz it on, and having bought the $85 bottle, it's a shame I can't tolerate this perfume long enough to wear it more than once. It's just TOO much sweetness that a headache soon starts to grow after getting a whiff of this scent, and it gets even worse in closed spaces like the car. This is the kind of stuff that I feel queasy with because it's just too overpowering. Definitely NOT for me.

  • SYRACUSA01/04/2007

It smells like a strong alcoholic drink for the working/lower classes from my home country. Horrible.

  • REBECCA12/19/2006

This is a nice, somewhat unusual scent (bein only of a handful of strawberry laced perfumes), but the caramel popcorn note overpowers it. I don't think it has sex appeal either- the sweetness needs to play off something other than a weak, overly subtle flower note to be sexy. If you like berry scented fragrances, but don't want to smell like a schoolgirl. I would say Hanae Mori pulls it off much better, playing off the vanilla & subtle woods. Of course, if you prefer other berry smells, you'll want to give Gucci II a try-lovely blackberry, bitter orange offset by jasmin & a hint of black pepper smell (supposed to be juniper berry). Connexion by Lancome is also good having blueberry scent, played off of a creamy vanilla, & very subtle patchouli- not exactly sexy, but definitely fun, & NOT sticky sweet like Cherie. If you prefer raspberries, Givenchy Hot Couture may be right up your alley. It is one of the most womanly fragrances I'm aware of that has raspberry top note. Of course if you're looking for a casual scent Perry Ellis America isn't bad, & extremely affordable to boot.

  • BRANDY12/06/2006

I don't mind the sweetness bcuzz it is blended well w/other notes.

  • MONICA11/30/2006

I got this perfume after reading so many nice reviews about it, and since I like sugar from aquolina I decided to give it a try. Right after I tried it on I was like "Wow this is sickening sweet", and kind of regreted having bought it. But later on the sweetness subsided and turned into a nice smell. I stopped wearing this after that and only recently decided to give it another try, and this time I loved the whole experience. I think it smells young, sexy and sweet. If you are into sweet smelling perfumes with personality this is a definite try. I wouldn't say this is my favorite perfume, but would possibly buy again once I'm done with it.

  • CHLOE11/29/2006

When I smelled this perfume for the !st time I love it but later on the drydown didnt convince me at all...I like sweet scents but Im afraid of getting tired quickly with this one..

  • SEXY KITTEN10/22/2006

I like this scent but it's just a little too bubble gummish for me....I would not hesitate to buy it for a niece or a young friend... I normally like fruity/floral edible scents but strawberries, candy, and popcorn is just not quite right for my personality...this however is a great "starter" for any lovely young girl...fresh, soft, sweet and feminine.

  • NGUTIEUYENNHIEN10/09/2006

I've just bought Miss Dior Cherie and now i fall in love with it. Cherie gonna be my signature one. I Love this very much!

  • ALYSA09/21/2006

the top note of this fragrance is so cheerful that is more suitable for young women. Sometimes this scent is slightly the same with Diorissimo but of course this one is much more modern than Diorissimo. I don't relly like the top note of this fragrance but I like bottom note very much

  • LU09/16/2006

Strawberry and Champagne body splash by Victoria's. Not my piece of cake.

  • BEATA09/15/2006

beauty fragrence. For me sweety but softly,Very sexy :) ..I feel Miss Arpels smell Van Cleff & Arpels, and color is the same :),,,,not chanel chance or other. It"s Miss... :))))

  • JOANIE09/10/2006

I absolutely adore this fragrance. As soon as it settles down it so fresh and light. I adore it

  • JAMIE09/01/2006

This is a scent that you can not buy because someone suggest that you do. You must sample this one. I like the scent after the first few minutes, however, I have my doubts about the dry down. It seems as though the fragrance takes on a new scent far from the actual. I like it, but it will not become my signature scent.

  • BELLE08/24/2006

This scent may sound like it would be sickening sweet, but on the contrary! Yes, there's the strawberries & carmelized popcorn... but there's patchouli & green notes to balance it out. It's actually very pleasant & fresh! I think it's unique. I also wear Hanae Mori (which has strawberries in it too) , but it has woodsy notes in it (sandalwood, cedar wood, almond wood), so it starts out fruity, but ends up woodsy. I like it a lot, but Miss Dior Cherie is delightful!

  • ADRIANNA08/24/2006

I didn't say I liked it because it smells like Vicks Cough Syrop but simply thats it's what it reminds me of when I smell it out of the bottle. Once sprayed on YOU it has nothing to do with it, it smells simply fresh, fun and different. I normally wear a different fragrance in the morning and a different one after coming home in the evening. I enjoy darker scents in the evening like Black Cashmere, Organza Indecence, Kingdom, Coco Chanel, Amber Nude, Angel etc. However during the day I need something sparkling, full of energy and that's when I go for Cristalle, Chance, no19, J'adore etc...and of course, Miss Dior Cherie!

  • JANETHLU08/08/2006

I absolutely adore Miss Dior Chérie! The opening strawberry note blends in SO nicely w/the carmelized popcorn. So fruity & sweet yet fresh and clean enough to wear in the hot summer months. Lasts a long time. I love it!

  • ISLEY08/03/2006

Someone actually says below they like it because it smells like "Vicks Cough Syrup"!!!!???? Now There's a ringing endorsement!!! I think 12 year olds should stick to Bath & Body Works junk and not encourage a major perfume house to churn out overpriced stinky stuff that caters to children with too much money and no taste!

  • RACHAEL07/30/2006

This is gorgeous...I am getting it for my birthday and can't wait! This is a definitely a me scent!

  • ADRIANNA07/28/2006

This is just soooooo long lasting. Normally light perfumes don't last that long so bravo Dior! I like this original fragrance. It reminds me a bit of Vick cough syrop, perhaps because of the mint and strawberry. It smells sweet and fresh at the same time. A really fun fragrance to wear. Love it!

  • JULIA07/05/2006

Carmelized popcorn, strawberry sorbet...who do you want to attract? Little boys dreaming of a ride on the roller-coaster? Try this. Grown-up men dreaming of you? Try something else.

  • LASSIE07/04/2006

The bottle is pretty. The drydown is nice, if you can survive the first sweeeeet fruity blast. This is Dior's attempt to capture part of the youth market. I suppose it's the thing to wear while barfing up pina coladas in South Beach on a Saturday night, but there are cheaper things you can buy that smell similar. I'll pass.

  • BILLYE T06/25/2006

I thought it was just me and that I was hopelessly out of fashion. I love the smell of a new leather saddle, fresh baked bread, the mountains after it rains, and lemon creme pie...personally, I don't want to smell like any of those. I'll admit I do have some "foody fragrances" that I adore but for the most part I prefer florientials or orientals. I want my scent to be unique, classy, sexy. How awful it would be to have the way you smell compared to candied popcorn, jam, or a fruit plate. Can you imagine your boyfriend (husband) giving you a passionate kiss and then tell you all of a sudden he's hungry for popcorn or cake! I don't want my perfume to give him hunger pangs. Miss Dior Cherie is nice but I think I'll leave this one on the shelf. My personal favs are Coco Mademoiselle, Trouble, Shalimar, Samsara, Michael Kors, Indecence, Euphoria, Kenzo Oriental and Bulgari, to name a few sitting on my dresser. And, if you have to get "accustomed" to a fragrance..the people around you might not have your dedication. I'm not the perfume police or the last word on "what is" or "what isn't" so wear what makes you happy. For breakfast we love spicy pork green chile, potatoes, eggs a warm tortilla and a hot cowboy sitting at the table...I'm sure some of you northeastern gals can't even imagine...well, maybe the cowboy. See...personal preferences for everything.

  • RUBYTUESDAY06/25/2006

I think this is a bit like Coco by Chanel, but Coco is stronger (and that's why I like it more, Miss Dior Cherie is so light that I can't even smell it on myself).

  • CHRISTY06/24/2006

I tested it the other day and loved it! You and I seem to wear the same types of fragrances. Sorta reminds me of chanel's coco mademoiselle, but way better. yummy!

  • AMY06/02/2006

I got impatient and went out and tested this perfume today! Unfortunately for me it was a dissapointment. I was really hoping I would like this one, but it wasn't for me. It was a little too fruity, in fact all I could smell was berries. I didn't detect the carmalized popcorn wich was a letdown b/c THAT sounded really delicious to me, but it may have been just my body chemistry.

  • AMY05/30/2006

Ok, this perfume sounds wonderful to me based on the reviews, but I'm very picky about what I'll put on. So, before I buy it or have the chance to go test it, could someone tell me if they think I'll like it.... I normaly wear 24k by Jivago, Burberry Brit, Heavenly by Victoria's secret, 212 by Carolina Hererra, Angel, and my trusty white musk from the body shop. I love vanilla-y sweet scents, not to mention I looove musk. Would this fit into my tastes? Thanks you guys!

  • ANGELIQUE05/30/2006

Hmmmm after giving this a go over a couple of days, I can honestly say it doesn't really appeal. I do like sweet smells, but this a just a little too sweet for me - reminds me too much of strawberry jam or candyfloss. It has a nice dry down scent, but it takes a while before those notes shine through. However, not all is lost. Sold it to a work colleague who absolutely adores it!

  • ANGELIQUE05/26/2006

Yep, the verdict's out on this one I'm afraid. I just received this today, and whilst I liked the scent when I initially sprayed it - I didn't like the middle notes. However, the dry-down was so beautiful, I can't decide whether I like it or hate it. At the moment I'm wearing Eclat D'arpege which I think is wonderful, and the two scents are so different from each other I'm wondering if I haven't been over-influenced by the D'arpege. So for now I'm going hold judgement for a little while. I will be back ....

  • ROCKI05/23/2006

It's really interesting that when YOU like a fragrance that you say, "I don't care if other people cringe when they smell this on me, I like it!" So it seems by that statement, it's alright if other people don't like your fragrance, as long as you like it, but when it's something you don't like, than watch out people! The same rules don't seem to apply, huh? That is being a little hypocritical, isn't it? You made some major comments about having to smell Fendi & Obsession on others, and criticized the women that liked these fragrances. Sorry, but the fragrance world doesn't revolve around you.

  • *BARBARA W*05/12/2006

Hi ladies! First of all, let me say that I am someone who loves variety in her perfumes, and there are some sweet scents I just adore (like Hanae Mori), but I completely agree with both of you that this trend of overly sweet, food-like scents makes it difficult for us to wear more sophisticated scents (and when we do, we're accused of being an "old lady"). I'm 39 years old and am starting to feel ridiculous wearing perfumes that smell like I bathed in candy or fruit cocktail. I travel to Paris frequently and am always amazed at the variety of lovely-smelling, sexy, stylish women, and they were all wearing scents that would probably be considered old-fashioned here. But you know, the bottom line is...wear whatever you please according to your moods and tastes - and the heck with what everyone else thinks! My fragrance choices depend so much on my moods - and I have many of those! ;-) I haven't tried Miss Dior Cherie yet, but I will...and if I enjoy it, I will wear it...but maybe the next day I'll choose Kenzo Jungle L'elephant or Allure Sensuelle or Burberry or...who knows? Three cheers for variety! Have fun!

  • MARGIE05/10/2006

I totally agree with "Harmony's" comments. I love this fragrance and it definitely will be my signature. I find that it only takes a drop and it lasts forever...I literally have to wash it off! Thanks for this wonderful fragrance!

  • JULIE05/10/2006

Finally, a woman who agrees with me, instead of attacking me for trying to be honest. There's nothing wrong with liking what you like, but for the perfume industry to put out all this sweet, candy-like scents, that all basically smell the same, and are really directed for the younger females out there, to me is insulting. I guess it's working because alot of women are buying into it & purchasing the stuff. I was wearing Opium the other day & got four different compliments, one woman said, mmmm...you smell wonderful, little did she know.

  • LAUERMAR05/08/2006

I am 46 y.o., and I found this to be youthful and fresh. I fell in love with the buttered popcorn and strawberry. I am a little embarrassed at my taste for this kind of scent, when I am used to wearing more sophisticated scents like Chanel. I think this is a wonderful diversion from my usual scents, so I'm giving it high marks. However, I must ask the same question as the previous reviewer--when are we going to finally grow up? Enough with the girly stuff already. I like eating candy myself, but I can't make a meal out of it every day. We're seeing a trend in fragrances that won't let us grow up lately. A woman doesn't smell like a woman anymore. Now, it is a cake, a candy bar, a bowl of popcorn, etc. I realize these things are seductive, but please. Enough already.

  • JULIE04/28/2006

Look, to each their own, I smelled this in a store & the bottle is cute & feminine,(never went for that kind of thing or the color "pink".) and it smells pretty, but enough already with the girly sweet scents. I realize that MOST women like this kind of scent, so I guess I have to buy the unique & scarce fragrances still left out there for me. Enjoy...

  • NATALIA04/13/2006

i was afraid this perfume was going to be to similar to the original miss dior, too powdery but after reading all of this great comments i decided to give it a try still thinking i wouldn´t like it at all but from the first sniff i fell in love, its a great scent, for those who haven´t try it yet i´ll say that is not cloyingly sweet, is not heavy, it has patchouli on its ingredients but is sanitized and there for almost unnoticeable, its very very youthfull, uplifting, sophisticated and balanced because it doesnt smell like an old woman perfume but it doesn´t smell like a teenagers one either, i´ve seen several online pictures of the bottle and is not nearly as glamourous as on real life too, as usual with dior i totally recomend!

Wow, this is the greatest perfume I have ever tried. I picked it up today, without even knowing how it smelled. I went totally off of what everyone has said on this board. Thanks alot. To help out, it is very similar to Victoria Secrets Strawberries and Champagne. My husband loves this scent on me, and when I bought this perfume, it was over!!!! I have found my siggy fragrance.... yaaaaaaay!!!!

Miss Dior Cherie... So many out there dislike this little lady, but I really can't see why! Ohhh I can see that this is not the most original fragrance... Apparition, Coco Mademoiselle, hey even Chance are quite similar in concept but regardless once you spray this on your skin and walk around and everyone around notices and compliments... why would you complain? I sure would not! Strawberries smothered in caramelly butterscotch... sweet creamy aroma fluttering like butterflies wings all around me... Ohhh I do like this a lot! People move closer to get a better whiff in the elevator and ask what this wonderful smell could be... Smiles all around... Miss Cherie is a happy girl and she spreads her joy and happiness all around... and for me that is enough to wear it once in a while...

  • PETRA03/15/2006

I've sampled this fragrance twice, and it kinda reminds me of CK Moments. The best thing about this perfume is the drydown. Within an hour from spraying it - you will love it.

  • CHRISTA03/13/2006

Nice..this is a nice scent! I'm not quite sure how to describe it? At times I smell a strawberry/fruity scent, then I start to smell a floral mix to it. It's not too over powering, I would probally wear this for daytime. Nice scent for spring/summer time. Did I mention the bottle is gorgeous!!!! Try this, you won't be dissapointed!

  • CHRISTA03/06/2006

Okay, for all of you that have tried this scent would you say it's more of a spring/summery scent or kept more for fall/winter? I'm looking for a good spring/summer scent. My current perfume selection is: Angel, Angel Innocent, Wish, Coco MM, Dior Addict, Pink Sugar, Mauboussin, and Le Baiser Du Dragon. I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks!

  • GREEKGIRL03/04/2006

Just tried this one and i have to say it is just as everyone posted, georgeous, but is also very similar to Libertine by Vivienne Westwood which i already have a mini of so when that runs out ill be trying out Cherie.

  • PERFUME_AHOLIC02/25/2006

Baby Doll by Yves St Laurente. I dont know why being that Baby Doll is a fragrance with a prominant note of grapefruit, while Miss Dior here apparently has its citrus note coming from tangerine. Since i already have Baby Doll i wasn't interested in another bottle of what i felt was a similar scent so i left the store. Drydown however has evolved into a luscious, unique and oh so sexy aromatic delight. I visualize the wearer of this scent in a sexy gown, dining by candlelight with her handsome and debonair partner as wisps of this devine fragrance permeate the air creating the ultimate ambience for romance. Cute little bottle too.

Hi there - I always look for comments from you and Maya. The three of us have very similar tastes! And apparently you and I are the same age so that helps tremendously! I have been wanting to try this and now I feel more confident in purchasing it online. I'll fill you in on the results! Thanks so much for all your great posts! Maya -- where are you?? :) Toodles.

What an unexpected surprise! After smelling this from a paper insert in a magazine, I thought it was nice, but didn't rush out to buy it. After all, you know how those paper magazine thingys can be! Luckily, something urged me to go ahead and try it for my next fragrance purchase. Well I couldn't be happier with it! Yes, it is a sweet scent, but you don't feel like a 12-year old when you wear it. I'm 48 and head-over-heels in love with this fragrance. And the bottle is beyond gorgeous. Not only does it sit firmly in my perfume stash, it looks beautiful while doing it! (I have this issue with perfumers who think it's a good idea to design bottles that won't stand upright without tethers.) Love the silver ribboned cap, and the patterned base of the glass. Totally classy all the way. Couldn't be happier!!!

  • FRAGRANCE FREAK02/03/2006

I fell in love with this the moment i sprayed it on. It's so different..it's sweet but not overpowering like Fantasy or Angel. I find it warm, inviting and comforting. I do get a whiff of cherry flavoured Vick's but that doesn't put me off!! I find it to be so delicate...just like the beautiful bottle it comes in.

  • GREEKGIRL02/02/2006

Because of all these lovely comments I might just have to go out and try this sounds yum.

THANK YOU for your kind, thoughtful comment! Isn't Perfume Emporium just a delight to browse through and read? If only there was a way to have a central board (like Robin suggested) or to search for keywords and people's names we've grown to recognize! Anyway, to your question: I haven't sniffed Libertine yet, but if it's anything like Miss Dior Cherie, it must be just gorgeous to experience. Now you've sparked my curiosity. I'm going to take myself to the nearest perfume reservoir and see if I can find it. I'll get back to you and let you know what I think! Thank you for the thought, Jana! I'll be looking for your posts, too! :-D

  • ROBIN 01/31/2006

Darlings, if you're afraid to try this one because you think it's a take-off on the original Miss Dior (completely understandable), which you're not crazy about, don't be!! I assure you, it couldn't be more different. Miss Dior is extremely traditional, very classic, very elegant, very mature, and this one is totally 21st century, over-the-top girly. Yippee!!! I can't get over how head-over-heels I am about this one; it's just so heady and deliciously edible with those wild strawberries and caramel popcorn notes (c'mon, now, keep an open mind! :-D) and yet it's got that amazing Dior quality through and through, with incredible staying power and depth. Concentrated, too; one phoosht! is all you need to be surrounded by a cloud of pink and green sweetness. It's not cloying in the least, though, because of the strawberry leaves, which give it a delightful crispness and focus, and the patchouli, which gives it a real earthiness and depth and sexiness. And, while I wouldn't care if the rest of the world cringed when they smelled me, since I love it so much, the fact is that I probably get more compliments per day with this one than any other fragrance of the 65 and counting that I currently own! (FYI, people also seem to really love Burberry Brit, Burberry London, Very Irresistible and Magnetism. . .) I'm sure some Miss Dior fans will consider Miss Dior Cherie a travesty, and I can certainly see their point (caramel popcorn????) but if it sounds good to you, PLEASE do your nose a favour and give this one a test-drive!! Ooh, and the bottle with the silver bow on it and the delicate script writing is BEYOND pretty.

  • HARMONY01/29/2006

I just purchased this fragrance today and I can't stop smelling my wrist!! This perfume is absolutely beautiful. I always preferred floral scents, but Miss Dior Cherie is irresistible. It smells like strawberries at first, but then dries down to a beautiful sandalwood-like scent. It still keeps it's sweetness after the drydown, but it is not at all too sweet. I think this is my new signature!

  • ANNIE01/28/2006

This is nothing whatsoever like Miss Dior, a floral chypre, so be forewarned. It's supposed to be a more modern reinterpretation of the "Miss Dior" concept. For this type of fragrance, with its strawberry candyish note, I think this is marvelous. It's so well done, just the way a candy-fruity-floral should be (in my opinion), classy and elegant, yet young and fresh. It doesn't clobber you or smell like juicy fruit chewing gum, it's balanced and lovely. If I weren't on austerity rations after the holidays I would splurge on a big bottle of this, just because it makes me happy. And I'm not a young girl, I'm a woman in my 40's.

  • JANA01/26/2006

I was wondering if you've tried Libertine by Vivienne Westwood and if you think that Miss Dior Cherie is similar to it. I love them both and to me there is a close resemblance. I would really like your opinion as I always look for your comments on the review boards. You are one of my favorite posters to read. Thank you!

  • LIZZIE01/12/2006

the blast of freshness in this lovely bottle is mind-blowing... it's beautiful, delightful, girly, and yet sophisticated. a PERFECT blend of strawberry pinkness and crisp greenness, it is probably the youngest scent of the entire Dior line... and still it is NOT teenagerish or so young that a woman in her forties or fifties would be uncomfortable wearing it. it's for the young and the young-at-heart. it's for energy with a touch of class. i can't spray this without a grin on my face. it's a 3.4 bottle that will, undoubtedly, run out within the year, and i have a LOT of fragrances!!!

  • JOLIE12/29/2005

LATELY, I HAD BEEN MORE INTO YUMMY-VANILLA SMELLING SCENTS. SO, WHEN I SMELLED THIS I WAS A LITTLE UNSURE. HOWEVER, I QUICKLY FELL IN LOVE W/ THIS PERFUME. IT'S A SOFT/SWEET SCENT, BUT NOT POWDERY. I DON'T THINK OF IT AS A YUMMY SCENT. IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS, IT WOULD BE "CLASSY". IT'S ONE OF THOSE EXPENSIVE-SMELLING PERFUMES. I LOVE IT.. COULD VERY WELL BECOME MY SIGNATURE.
