We propose a toast to Maria Luigia, the Duchess of Parma, who, after much effort, obtained her beloved Parma violets, took charge of their cultivation in the Botanic Garden, and supported a monastery for years as the monks worked to obtain their true essence so she could wear this as her signature scent. |

| I expected it to be powdery like Quelques Violettes, but its much less heady. It is very botanical & green smelling, like something you would smell in a garden park or some greenhouse. Although it is pleasant, its not necessarily something I want to smell on my body. I would say if you love "Flower" by Kenzo you might also like this. Although this is more natural & green smelling- kinda like they put the whole violet plant essence in it, instead of what I prefer which is a more rounded soft sweet & pure petal scent. It gets 3 stars for its originality, but for me its just not wearable enough. |

| Use to price this in an up-scale store years ago. I found both the vintage bottle lotion and the spray at discount stores! I couldn't believe my eyes when it didn't have a price and the clerk tag it like it was some off-brand fragrance! This is a nice violet scent. Most I have experienced have been sharp, this is smooth and easy scent. Nice! |

| I think Violetta di Parma is a wonderful rendition of the violet. Remarkably true to the scent of the flower, Violetta di Parma smells simply of a violet growing from the ground. Uncomplicated. More green than sweet. So pretty! The fragrance is quite soft but lasts several hours on my skin. It is one of my very favorite scents and most definitely my favorite violet scent. I enjoy it day or night, year round. I really love it! |
