| This perfume is a burst of exotic green...and it's powerful. It lasts and lasts...then it tones down to a warmish, long-lasting sweetness that is not overpowering or sickly. I love its freshness and I love the fact that the designer, Estee, had kept this for many years all to herself. That says a lot about this fragrance. I have layered it with Ivoire de Balmain which is similar but less sweet. Together they make a great duo. I am very happy with this perfume and will always have a bottle in my possession. |

| Please advise if you know anywhere to buy the Body Creme that was on the market 10 years ago. If you know this creme you know that layered with the body powder it is the greatest fragance in the world, no perfume needed! |

| I thought Private Collection was horrendous when I first tried it on at a discount perfume store in a small "outlet town" in the South. As I walked around the town, Private Collection developed into the most luxurious scent, surrounding me in its luxury. I went back to the discount store and purchased two gift boxes of scent and lotion. The lotion is truly silky and rich. There seems to be a bit less pachouli in the lotion so it is more subtle and lies closer to the skin than the EDP. On drydown, PC is a sophisticated floral with a pachouli note that is muted, but very long-lasting. Even after showering, I can detect the faintest whiff on my wrists. Please try this more than once before deciding you don't like it. Like so many sophisticated items, Private Collection is an acquired taste. |
