FOR BARBARA W! LIZZIE 10/23/07 02:16 AM 5 out of 5 stars
VALENTINO V ABSOLU PERFUME REVIEW BY LIZZIE
Hi Barbara, I've been reading your posts for quite a long while... you seem to love the same scents that I do! I adore spicy orientals... edgy and still feminine. This one really got me... soft and delicious but not at all wimpy! The initial spray vaguely reminded me of Burberry Brit but it dries down into something more seriously seductive and yet still vaguely edible. Grown up can be sweet, too! It's as if it gets UNDER the skin and becomes a part of you, instead of just a cloud around you. I agree with you, though... it's not as powerful in its staying power. Otherwise, just EXCELLENT. Thank you, Barbara!!!!

VALENTINO V ABSOLU SYLVIE 07/25/07 11:33 AM 2 out of 5 stars
VALENTINO V ABSOLU PERFUME REVIEW BY SYLVIE
I bought the expensive *VALENTINO V ABSOLU* unsniffed with high hopes. Big mistake - the fragrance is not for me. - Please try before you buy. I'am not thrilled. Too modern, synthetic, artificial, and "cheap" smelling. I miss character, uniqueness and depth. Not inviting, warm and feminine. I'm an old lady over *50* and have a classic taste. So many of the new fragrances these days are not pleasant and satisfying for my good old nose. Valentino V Absolu smells similar to "Paul Smith London". Both fragrances are a big disappointment for me and a waste of money. I have to cry: No happy sniffing...;-), Sylvie

WONDERFUL BARBARA W 05/20/07 08:17 AM 4 out of 5 stars
VALENTINO V ABSOLU PERFUME REVIEW BY BARBARA W
I love Absolu! My only complaint is the sillage - it disappears quickly on my skin, leaving only a very faint trail of scent. :-( I haven't tried layering it with the body products, though, so maybe that will help. The original is nice, too, but it's more for daytime. Absolu is seductive and charming, but not overwhelming at all. It has a modern edge that I like. A must have for gals that like sweet, spicy, fresh orientals. I'm subtracting one star only for the lack of staying power...otherwise, excellent.

I'M YOUR BOYFRIEND! R. SHREST 04/21/07 12:28 AM 5 out of 5 stars
VALENTINO V ABSOLU PERFUME REVIEW BY R. SHREST
As I said in the V board, V Absolu is an alluring, warm, and sultry perfume which should lure in your men, left..right and centre. Some might consider it a bit heavy but it doesn't overpower you, just comes off as a radiant, warm and intriguing scent. Great for spring/fall and winter months. This gets my vote alright.
