| I've owned quite a few of Chanel perfumes, but the Allure Sensuelle is the best! I get compliments on this perfume all the time and half the time I can't even smell it on myself (that's the sign of a great perfume on someone!). This perfume is sophisticated, sexy and can be worn for work or evening! |

| Karl Lagerfeld, clearly having a bad ponytail day, was asked at the launch of the original Allure what he thought allure was, and in his languid French-German drawl replied, "Whatever it is, it is not a fragrance." I think he would have been a little less off-message if asked for his opinion on Allure Sensuelle. As far as I know, Sensuelle signals the first appearance of an attractive idea that consists in overlaying a big, solid, complex and unrelentingly beige woody-balsamic thing in the Lauder manner with a fresh aldehydic note, not of citrus but of melon. Tom Ford later did the same cucurbitaceous thing with Black Orchid. Beautifully crafted and utterly devoid of magic, this is for me a "date with Cindy Crawford" sort of perfume; nice idea in principle, but in practice I´d rather dine alone while reading The New Yorker. |

| NEVER will I buy this again! I have worn it awhile and always have loved it. This last bottle I bought has no scent whatsoever. It is an expensive bottle of unscented water now. I am very disappointed that this is happening to such a formally wonderful perfume. My friend had the same expereince. |

| As far as I'm concerned, Chanel can do no wrong, and I feel the same about their perfumes.
This particular scent is definitely a sexier take on the Allure fragrance, and sensually so -- the spice is a welcome addition to the formula.
While it's just as cozy as it's older sister, it's got that bit of sex appeal and confidence that I feel is sometimes lacking in the original Allure.
This perfume will definitely turn heads, and it will garner tons of compliments. Give this a chance before dissing it. |
