| Hello there! Love to read your comments Maya. Wish we regulars could communicate directly with eachother through a chat sub-division of PE; would be SO much easier than posting comments/queries and having to check back time and again! If you agree, write in to PE. I did, and their response was favorable! Anyway, thinking about you and your desire to find that perfect dark rose scent. I agree with you about Very Irresistible. It's too light or playful a scent in terms of what you are looking for, although it is a lovely fragrance and I do love it for what it is. I tried the Sensuale version, and did not like it as much as the original. Don't know if the following choices will lead you in the right direction, but it's worth a try. It's likely you may have already tried some of these but I wouldn't know that, so here goes: Have you tried Victoria by Victoria's Secret? It is one of my favorites, with Bulgarian Rose and fragrant herbs. (Discontinued, but still available online or through eBay.) Their newer one Divine is lovely, and worth a try. It has Rose, Lotus Flower, Muguet, Water Lilly, Amber, Blondewood and Sheer Sandalwood. Rykiel Rose by Sonia Rykiel is mysteriously beautiful, but may not be as dark as you desire. It has several different rose notes, as well as amber, sandalwood, teakwood and white musk. Or how about Basic Instinct, also by Victoria's Secret? (No, I am not a VS sales rep!) It's made of Port Plum Wine, Apricot, Turkish Rose, Gardenia, Wild Tuberose, Patchouli and Vanilla Orchid. I love it, and it is definitely purple-black-rose seductive. Flower (Le Parfum Edition-red bottle) by Kenzo is another one that is sensual as ever. It has Bulgarian Rose among other floral notes, amber, opoponax resin, boubon vanilla and white musk. Or what about Ghost by Tanya Sarne? It has predominantly rose petal notes along with jasmine flowers, sandalwood and vanilla. Sort of a basic daytime rosey scent on me, but could be nighttime extraordinary on you! Lastly, how about Byzance by Rochas? It is an alluring scent that is totally captivating to me. It has Turkish Rose, Tuberose, Mandarin, Cardamon, Anise, Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Amber. If you would like, I can make you a little sample of any of the perfumes mentioned here. Just let me know. I'll check this post periodically. Good luck, and I hope this helps you find your perfect rose scent!
