| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| I remember my French colleague telling me Shalimar was her fave perfume. Since I thought she had a good taste, I decided to try it out. I must admit, I hated it at first and didn't touch a sample I got in the mall for a long while. To me, it smelled like burnt rubber. I did rediscover it recently and now like it so much that I put a little bit on my wrist every night before bed. I still feel those smokey top notes, but I learned to be patient and wait for the gorgeous middle notes to reveal themselves, the drydown is very luxurious. I am puzzled, however, as to where I can wear it. It seems too pretty and glorious for everyday or daytime wear. I guess I will keep using it as aromatherapy and for special occasions. |
