| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| I love Lanvin fragrances and count Arpege and Eclat D'Arpege as two of my favorites. Love them both. So I tried Oxygene with a bias towards Lanvin. Boy, was I disappointed. I've tried more than once to wear this fragrance, but on me it smells just like celery--JT is right. I can't detect anything but celery. Funny. As in strange funny and ha-ha funny. So, if Oxygene smells great on you, that's wonderful. Wear it proudly. It just doesn't seem to mesh with my chemistry. Say, if anyone is interested in trying something new: one of my other favorite fragrances is Ferre 20 by Gianfranco Ferre. It seems to be rather obscure as far as people knowing about it, though it's readily available through the internet on shops like this one. If you like a soft oriental-floral that's not too rich but is just right then try Ferre 20. No celery in it!!! |
