| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| "Nice" is about all I get from this one. Guess what? It is. But for my money there's a dozen oriental /spice fragrances for men that are far better---Signature, to name just one.
I think the appeal comes from, once again, women who have been punched in the nose with Curve, Le Male, Joop and so forth in the same way their moms were punched with Aramis, Brut or English Leather.
Whereas Opium for men is hard to overdo.
---it can be done, mind you, but it takes a real kind of tasteless talent to do it---
Same reason why John Varvatos is so popular these days.
Unlike JV, Opium for men is truly elegant and vintage '95--hardly a 'timeless classic' though many of us may have been born after that.
The real 'timeless classic' is the superb, original Opium (for women), vintage '77 and something no wicked, decadent girl should be without.
