| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| Hi Cynthia! Since many classic scents do (sadly!) get reformulated, I looked into this, as I am also a lover of Norell. As far as I can tell, the scent has never been reworked, and the fragrance being produced today is true to the original. That being said, it's very possible that you smelled an old or outdated bottle, because although Norell is still produced, it is made in much smaller quantities, and, for the last ten years or so, has been in very limited distribution. So there are a lot of old bottles that have probably "turned" being sold out there-since the better department stores stopped carrying it, a lot of the existing supply was shipped out to discount stores, and sometimes when you see it, you can just tell it's been on the shelves for way too long! I have also smelled some bottles that didn't seem "right", and my guess is that they had gone bad. Hope this helps! |
