| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| Norell and Chanel #5 were my first "adult" fragrances, the former epitomizing the clean, quality scents I've liked best in subsequent years and the latter capturing the warm, powdery scents I like to wear in cold weather. After 20+ years of wearing neither of these two fragrances, I bought a bottle of each and discovered that the Norell had a noticeably different scent. It smelled murkier, oilier, "cheaper," whereas the Chanel smelled the same as it had before. My nose-memory is pretty good and my scent preferences don't vary a great deal. Was Norell reformulated? |
