| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| Norell is a masterpiece. I’ve been looking for a substitute for it because it seems to have changed a bit, a little more synthetic, and the old version was so much richer and longer lasting than the new, but everything else is crude and simplistic by comparison. I did enjoy a brief dalliance with ONLY, by Givenchy, but was ultimately unfulfilled. It just doesn’t have the layering, the substantive base notes , or the incredible drydown that Norell does.
It’s pitiful, but I still have yearnings for a solid perfume that Norell put out, like, 20 years ago. I’d pay a mint for that solid today. I found an ancient pot of it in an old purse with a teeny bit left and it STILL smelled wonderful!
The tradgedy is that although Norell has changed, I’ve been ruined for other perfumes and just can’t seem to move on…
