| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| This very time of year makes me think way back to when I was barely 22, fresh out of college, and was a month and a half into working my first job as a 5th grade elementary school teacher. It was a chilly evening in mid-October 1970, and I was wearing Norell on Open School Night with a black mini-dress. All my students' moms wanted to know "What perfume is that? It's gorgeous!" before they even asked how their children were doing in my class! All the dads seemed to like it too, and flirtatiously liked ME in addition!
I've loved this perfume since it debuted around the time of the Woodstock Festival in 1969! Try it, even if you're a young girl; you won't be disappointed! Unlike a lot of these modern 'watery', 'fruity' fragrances that are out on the market today, Norell is a classic that is truly PRETTY and truly FEMININE. If you like Norell, I'd also reccommend Chanel No. 5, ALL Guerlain's classics (especially Shalimar, Chant D'Aromes, and Parure--I wore Parure on my wedding day), Femme de Rochas, Patou's 'Joy', Estee Lauder's 'Youth Dew', Yves St. Laurent's 'Y' and 'Rive Gauche', and Molinard's 'Habanita'. First de Van Cleef & Arpels, Jean-Charles Brosseau's 'Ombre Rose', and Estee Lauder's 'Spellbound' are nice, too. Of the more modern ones, MaxMara's new signature fragrance and Dolce & Gabbana's 'Sicily' are beautiful. |
