Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions.

MESSAGE BY CHRISTINE
I bought a bottle of Norell on impulse as I hadn't seen it anywhere in years. My reasons are purely sentimental (or should I say scentimental?) as when I was growing up one of the hip, young, cute mothers in my neighborhood wore this on big nights out or when she was modeling naughty nighties for her husband. In revisting the scent I was disappointed at how knock down strong and confusingly complicated it smells. It was great on the cute mom, but it's too much for me. That being said, it's a very elegant scent, appropriate for evening and evokes Audrey Hepburn-ish images of being swathed in mink and diamonds. Wear it, baby and start tossing that old family money around!
