THIS IS NOT LOVE'S MUSK & JASMINE TOSCASKISS 12/05/2011 07:47 PM 2 out of 5 stars

Don't get your hopes up as I did, thinking they'd finally brought back Love's Musk & Jasmine scent. Although I realized before ordering that this lacked the musk, it looks almost identical to that old, long unavailable product, and I figured maybe it would be close. SO disappointed--at first I hated it. After awhile, I found it sort of ok, and used it, but would not buy again. The old stuff was one of the best scents I ever wore, including Eau de Patou (also, I believe, long gone), the original Aliage from Estee Lauder (also discontinued, then brought back, but not the same, and not very good), and others, pretty much all considerably higher priced than the old M&J from Love. I've never had so many extremely enthusiastic compliments (and particularly, men who seemed bewitched by it) for any scent, as for Love's M&J. I wonder why in the world the company doesn't bring it back, as I know it's very popular among those who used it. Perhaps the musk element makes it too expensive to be feasible now? It's a shame. I've tried to recreate something similar, using oil of musk and of jasmine, but it was never right. Anyway, I don't much recommend this current product, especially if you're looking for the original scent.
