FRAGRANCE TIPS
Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions.

MESSAGE BY MIKE
I first was exposed to "knowing" by our 12 year old baby sitter, who had "borrowed" some of her mom's. Taking her home late in the evening, there were whispers of flowers and a richness of fine leather. I bought some for my wife, and the rest, as they say is history. Although I like most of Estee Lauder's other fragrances, Knowing is in fact something magical. It engenders visions of warmth, suppleness, long silent gazes in the firelight. I would say that it is more romantic than erotic (yet it is erotic enough). To me, "knowing" conveys a sense of confident, mature feminity. It is a powerful enough fragrance to leave no doubt that its wearer wants to be noticed. And noticed she shall be! It is a perfume for executives that are proud of who they are as professionals and as women. It is, in fact, a power fragrance: It conveys a sense of power, self-determination, and control mixed with allure. Yet, "knowing" does not assault the senses head on; rather, I think it is perceived in the heart. I do not smell knowing so much as "feel" it. It is a "whole body" experience. A word of caution, ladies, a little knowing goes a very, very long way. This is not some frilly splash. Wear it tonight and your husband will respond to the scent of it until you change the sheets next week. It is among the most enduring fragrances I know, and each stage of its aromatic lifespan is an experience unto itself. At first blush, it is a blockbuster, which then dries into, powerful elegance. The next day it's refined memory will call back memories of an evening well spent. If you are allergic to some fragrances, this may be one that aggravates your nose. I find it best dabbed on discreetly at the back of the neck. Just a drop on the inside elbows or wrists will work its way through your clothing, creating a "layered" aroma that changes as you move through the the room (or across the dance floor). Mothers: keep this away from your young daughters!
