EXQUISITE ORIENTAL, WELL BALANCED & A TRUE CLASSIC SOMDATTA 05/23/2007 03:48 AM 5 out of 5 stars

This is a sublime fragrance. It's rich, sweet and spicy, less edgy than Cabochard, but as delightfully mysterious and seductive as Opium. Though it's bold and daring, it has a subtle hint of romance in it. I can smell cinnamon and lots of warm spices, but it doesn't smell woody or leathery or smoky. A very well rounded and exquisitely balanced spicy concoction - not too sweet, not too spicy, not too outdoorsy, not too masculine. Just perfect and lingers beautifully afterwards. It's perfect for office - if used wisely - a spritz or two ; it's feminine enough and individualistic enough to wear to work in a serious ambience. It's the perfect fragrance for one who doesn't like frivolous breezy florals or cloying sweet scents or happy aquas. Also, it simply smells terrific when worn in the evenings (spray more generously then !) There is something haunting about this perfume, people won't forget it easily. If you like Opium, you will like this one too. I have both, and though they are similar, they are both wonderful ; each one has a different charm to it. I don't think it's dumb to buy two similar smelling perfumes. They are both classics - and i might add, i think KL is one of the best perfumes ever made. I collect perfumes, and IMO it's one of the best - smells expensive, exclusive, and possesses that something unforgettable that all classics do.
