FRAGRANCE TIPS
Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions.

MESSAGE BY MARY ANNE
I have been buying Ivoire since .... the 80s? I can't remember, it's been so long, and if I could remember the misspoken name a boyfriend gave it I could remember how long I have worn it... This perfume, to me, is even more a classic French perfume. It is classy, sexy, alluring and I love it so much I surreptitiously sniff my wrists when I wear it. I don't know, or care what the notes are as long as Balmain never stops making it, and doesn't change the formula (Chanel did that to their original version of Christalle and really disappointed me). Originally Ivoire and Christalle were the only 2 perfumes I would wear. Chanel took the lemony sweetness out of Christalle and turned it into a more herbal eau de toilette (it had been more of a splash type fragrance with more water than alcohol). Back to Ivoire, I'm really happy to know that other people wear it and feel the same way about it. I have a hard time finding it, and luckily my husband works in NYC and finds it in a highend retailer.
