This is a very pretty perfume and I have been enjoying wearing it, although I have been wearing it for 2 days and find that you do need to apply it liberally for it to last the day. As of yet, no compliments (from men or women), but am waiting patiently. I believe that the negative comments stem from the fact that this perfume does have some pink pepper in it - which adds a bit of a kick. So if you typically like soft floral perfumes, I am not sure that this is for you. Personally I like the combination of soft flowers with a little spice. FYI - Salvatore Ferragamo's original scent also had some pepper but has a less light/floral base than Halloween.
