| Blends of floral and citrus-based fragrances are recommended for casual and daywear. Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. |

| I recently recvd a dram of the original Fleurs de Rocaille. Talk about disappointed. There are quite a few classic scents from Caron that are very appealing to me, so I was sure that the original FdR would be great since it's alsoo one of Caron's classics. Well, I was quite surprised at how strange the top notes and even the dry down seemed. Can't identify what note it is, but it's very unusual and not exactly appealing to me. In some ways FdR, the original, reminds me of Ferre by Ferre, only the latter is much nicer, if not strange at first itself. I've given the original FdR quite a few chances and just can't get into it. However, I'm not rating it since this is really for the modern version of FdR and since I haven't tried that one yet. Any idea on what note I'm smelling that seems strange? |
