Launched in 2003. Stella by Stella McCartney is a sexy, seductive new fragrance by fashion designer and daughter of legendary singer Paul McCartney. A perfume based on the contrast between the freshness and softness of the rose, and the dark sensuality of amber, Stella is a sophisticated scent focused on an intense sense of femininity. A fragrant expression of Stella's unique fashion philosophy of creating interesting tension through mixing things seemingly contradictory. Notes include Rose, Peony Flower, Mandarin, Rose Absolute, and Amber.

    Loved...

  • GAIL09/27/2016

I got a sample today and loved it. I wanted to try her perfume because they are not tested on animals which is very important to me.

  • RENEE10/28/2015

    Amazing

  • GLORY12/29/2012

I buy this in the roller ball which is perfect for throwing in your purse and dabbing during the day/evening if need be. Beautiful clean, creamy, senseous rose.

  • ROSIE08/24/2010

absolutely love this fragrance. It reminded me of something and have just realised what - I think it smells like fry's turkish delight - yummy!

  • STEPPH07/22/2009

my art teacher used to wear this, everytime she'd pass by my desk i'd get a whiff, it was truly amazing. i found out what scent it was, and soon after checked it out at the departement store. it smells alot like roses, but more fresh and modern, definately not granny-ish. it would be perfect for casual get-togethers or going out with friends, or to work. i would buy this for myself, but being only 15 i think the rose notes are abit too old for me. i imagine this being perfect for a woman in her 20s-40s, modern yet classic at the same time, feminine and simple. it has a very interesting dimension to it, i reccomend it.

  • BLOSSOM05/31/2009

I had smelt the Sheer version and loved it, and my man bought me the origanal Stella and I just LOOOOVE it. sexy, womanly, fresh, beautiful. I thought it didnt stay but my best friend mentioned she could smell it on me, that if a perfume is suited to you you wont be able to smell it on yourself. I love it cos its not at all overpowering. bliss!

  • ORCHIDFLWER03/03/2009

BUt, it had absolutely NO staying power. I could detect nothing of it within an hour of application, but, while it was detectable, it was divine!

  • REBECCA02/13/2009

I could not stop smelling the magazine sample some years ago. I have a small Basic Instinct, a .5 oz, and I see no comparison between these two. I have not smelled the rose absolute version...This is a modern rose, it smells real, and isn't heavy or a rose that is too clean. Very fresh and clean rose scents give me a headache. I cannot wear V.E. by Givenchy for that reason. The sensual version of V.E. is better. This is a subtle rose and the amber gives a vintage feel. Half the notes are very feminine and the other half are sensual. Patchouli is in the base of everything now, and yet Stella left it out. :) I don't mind it, but the amber gives it something different and completely wearable. I will be buying the intense version sooner or later.

  • ~BOHEMIANGIRL~02/18/2008

Wearing Stella transports you to the middle of a rose garden on a cool, damp, misty morning. The opening notes are crisp and clean; later the amber emerges to add depth and sex appeal. This is a modern, edgy rose scent that a woman of any age could wear. A classic in the making.

  • LAUREN11/01/2007

While shopping with a friend we both tested this...after about 15 min my friend smelled glorious and I just stank. Really. The sales assoc couldn't beleive how different the dry down was on both of us. On my friend SM smelled of sexy roses and spice on me dirty wet towels. YUK.

  • BARBARA W08/31/2007

please try Basic Instinct by Victoria Secret if you can find it! It's like Stella vamped up 100 notches - rose, apricot, wine, patchouli, vanilla, etc. I'm not a VS fan in general (their scents are too 'safe'), but Basic Instinct is lush, rich, and mysterious. PE has it. :-)

  • BARBARA W08/31/2007

Thanks for the layering tip - I will definitely try it! Lady Vengeance sounds very intriguing; I'll have to search it out. One of my recent purchases has been Gaultier 2 - lovely on its own, but it's also great for layering. Notes of amber, musk, and vanilla makes it a good base for perfumes that need a little 'extra something'. Yesterday I layered it under Brit with great results. Love your suggestions, Robin, keep them coming! :-)

  • ROBIN08/29/2007

Hello again! Just catching up on posts, and I read with great interest your layering ideas. I do the same!!! It's fun and sometimes it really, really works (and when it doesn't, what have you really lost?). Do try Stella with Hypnose; I swear, it's a wonderful combination which reminds me a little of Lady Vengeance by Juliette Has a Gun, the niche company headed by Nina Ricci's grandson. Better yet, if you can find it, try it; it's got a little extra patchouli and something else mysterious which takes it from a classic rose scent to something VERY sexy!!! -- Robin

  • TO BONNIE06/27/2007

Hi Bonnie, if your hubby likes sweet scents and you like a rose scent try Very Irresistable (if you havnt already) its sweet but not too rosy, as i myself dont like rosy scents, this one is really nice im starting to get addicted to it big time, and it has the most beautiful musky drydown , very sexy (my hubby thinks so) by the way i also like amor amor and secret wish so give it a try and see hubbys reaction! let me know how you go.

  • BONNIE05/31/2007

I had given Stella a good rating based on my opinion. But then my husband came home after being on a business trip for 5 weeks, I thought I would suprise him by wearing my new fragrance, but his response was yuk what are you wearing, it smells like something my 3rd grade teacher would have worn, like something an old lady would wear. Although I like it, the strong rose notes may not be pleasant for your man, my husband loves the sweeter fragrances like amor amor and Delices by Carter, and Oscar Pink Lily, he also likes Secret Wish somewhat. So keep this in mind, if you are also trying to please your man, he may not be into the strong rose fragrances, my teenager daughter also said it smelled like something an old lady would wear. So there's my opinion for what it's worth.

  • MARI05/24/2007

I usually go for sweter fragrances, and I was recently looking for something floral. For me Stella sounded good, but was so diferent than what I would normally wear I couldnt fall for it.What a great surprise to try Stella Sheer, because it has the same rose base, but with some fruity and sweet notes that really makes it a diferent scent than Stella, lighter, fresher and younger. I love it!

  • BONNIE05/22/2007

What you're probably allergic to is the alcohol they had to bottled fragrances, most people don't have problems with it, but if you find this a consitent issue, consider pure perfume oils, can be purchased on-line, The Fragrance Shop.com, they have stella as well as many others, be sure to spurge for the good stuff, it is absolutely pure, I have many. Only takes a drop or two, and you'll float through the day, often the pure oils smell softer, less harsh than the bottled EDP or EDT. Another advantage, they don't spoil after 8-12 months like bottled scents.

  • BONNIE05/20/2007

This is so wonderful, I had some samples from Saks, and gave some to my mother, she fell in love, and I bought her a bottle for mother's day. I love the original, have just ordered sheer, even though some negative comments where made, but hoping for the best. This is a wonderful and unique fragrance.

  • LEELEEYA05/13/2007

I wear Stella and love this fine scent, and yes, I do wear Mitchum deodarant too at the same time, but I wouldn't put Mitchum on my wrist--tacky.

  • JSTAGRL05/08/2007

it smells like my new deodorant! lady mitchum light green scented roll-on...i swear they smell exactly the same! and there's a glade plug in that smells like this stuff too...not sure i'll be wearing this anymore.

  • NEL04/06/2007

This is a lovely fragrance, very feminine, also try Stella Absolute also very beautifull, I think a bit stronger then the original Stella.

  • TONY T03/11/2007

point of view. very deep edp and vibrant. not good with the technical notes but my friend at work had this on (age 43) and let me tell you, smelling her for 8 hours was like heaven. p.o. she is not attractive

  • MARY ALICE02/07/2007

Got my bottle today. The top notes of the fragrance are lovely...a dark rose. But it only lasted a nano-second on me and I never got to the middle notes or dry down. I tried spraying it over a sheer layer of vaseline to no avail. I'm so disappointed.

  • MARY ALICE02/06/2007

I just ordered the Rose Absolute because it has three of my favorite scents: roses, violets and amber. I can't wait to see if it works on me. I'll report back after I get it!

  • HEATHER11/29/2006

I really expected more from Stellas perfume..I think its nice but to soft..it has a strange smell like powder or soap..may be the reason is that I have never liked rose scents..so this one is great for being that type

  • ALEXY11/28/2006

The rose sent it defiantly the most powerful part of the perfume, but its more complex than just that. Otherwise I’d save myself some money and make rose water perfume like I did when six. It’s a beautiful floral. I wouldn’t describe it as sexy, but it’s defiantly beautiful. I feel like I should be going to a wedding when I wear it. In summer, just a little spray can get overpowering.

  • MUSE11/14/2006

I've never been a huge fan of rose perfume. I always think of the bottle my Grandma gave me when I was a little girl. I thought I would give this a try after reading the wonderful reviews. The rose scent was apparent when I first sprayed, then the wonderful amber notes kicked in and I was hooked. What a wonderful blend and a pleasant surprise. This is not you Grandmother's rose water. Very modern, soft and pretty. I love it!

  • JULIEANNE09/27/2006

Sharina, try Narciso Rodriguez. I find it similar to Stella & I adore both of them. Hope it doesn't make you sneeze. Have you tried taking a non drowsy antihistamine, so that you can wear & enjoy Stella ? I would be doing that. I cannot live without Stella. It is my equal favourite with Vera Wang.

  • SHARINA09/11/2006

It has been YEARS since I found a fragrance that I adored the way I love Stella and the rose absolute. But the problem is, I can't stop sneezing after I put it on! I love that it has both a rose scent that is powdery! I have to have those in combination. Can anyone recommend another fragrance that is similar that I could try. I am sooo sad about this!

  • PAZZO08/24/2006

I had wanted stella for quite sometime and finally got it yest.I was still debating between buying this and lovely, but decided to go with stella. Finally a rose scent which is not too sweet. The amber is so yummy and musk gives the scent it's unique zing. However i find it similar to "so in love" by victoria secret (don't have that one).WLd love to hear from people out there who have tried both.

  • VANYA08/12/2006

I have Stella edp and I like it. I also purchased Sheer Stella (limited edition 2006) and I just adore it - it is light, fresh, transparent, uplifting and very feminine, great for summer. I have decided to buy Stella Absolute too, after I tried it, it is very fine, deep, very womanly, similar to regular Stella but somehow richer, fuller and more mysterious... Stella McCartney has done great job with those fragrances: they are all very fine and of a great quality. All 3 of them have excellent staying power and great sillage on me. (Sorry for my english, I'm from Europe).

  • ELLIMACC08/04/2006

This perfume smells wonderful. Light and airy Rose with a hint of musk. I have gotten many compliments on it already and I've only had it 2 weeks. On the down side Stella has no staying power. It does not wear long. Good while it last though.

  • RINGO06/30/2006

Stella is so lovely, in my opinion that is what england smells like. I bought a bottle of Sheer, and the citrus notes and other fruity notes it has in it completely destroy the roses, what an idiotic thing to do to put all those craps in.

  • K.K.06/21/2006

I just purchased Sheer Stella LE Summer 2006. A lighter, summer version with some fruity notes (lemon, green apple), charming and subtle... more sparkling than edp. Great, feminine scent for summer and hot weather. Staying power of both original Stella edp and this one is good on my skin.

  • ALISON05/26/2006

Stella is wonderful, but does not last. great to put on before staying in or being close ; )

  • *BARBARA W*05/18/2006

I have fun layering certain scents from the same family together (the original Burberry and Casmir smell great together, for instance). I love both Stella and Lovely by SJP, and I wondered what they'd smell like on together. It's an interesting mix! Either applied directly on top of one another, or sprayed alternately on different pulse points, I think their notes are very complimentary. Does anyone else like to layer their scents? I'd love some suggestions...

  • MARYL04/20/2006

“Stella” is OK. It reminded me a little of "Le De Givenchy" at first spray, which I really liked (when it was available). I would consider wearing this daily if it lasted longer and had a more noticeable amber dry down. However, as it is, I just don’t think that it smells “expensive”.

  • TBUZZ04/20/2006

Smells nice but so faint, does not last long at all. I prefer Ombre Rose for a rose fragrance.

  • COMMENTATOR03/29/2006

Did you wear deodarant that day, or maybe you should try Mitchum deodarant. Works for me.

  • DJ02/08/2006

something around you is not clean it will pick that smell of b.o. or what ever it may be,it was most likly the dressing room, this fragrance picks up the good around you but if something smells your nose will pick up on it, but not to worry they cant smell it only you because this is refreshing fragrance, people can only smell this fragrance and thats what they smell and not the b.o. and this is not the only fragrance that does this.

  • RAFIKA01/31/2006

when i first put it on I thought....oh what a beautiful scent. I'm definitely going to buy this. Then I started shopping. While I was trying on some clothes I thought that my deoderant wasn't working. I could smell really strong B.O. I was really embarrassed and left the mall. It turned out to be the perfume!!!!

  • KRISTEN01/25/2006

this is a great soft perfume.. very fresh yet sensual.. definitely for a woman and not a girl! Smells like a more refined version of Still by JLO in my opinion

  • MATUSHA01/12/2006

A contrasted perfume which combines the force and the brittleness of the Rose to the mysterious sensuality of Amber. A modern writing inspired of High-Perfumery. At the head, rose oil infused of flowers of peony and some essence drops of tangerine for an agreement full with seduction, of delicacy and insurance. the absolute of rose reveals a sexier and intense facet rose. In bottom, the mysteries of amber bring a carnal depth and a sensual addiction to the fragrance.

  • ZEKIYE01/06/2006

Rose Rose Rose. I am quite amazed with critiques who came up with other notes. There may be some other scents but the main flavor of the month is "rose". Having said that, if you ever wanted to wear rose, this would be it (and not "Tresor" please!)

  • MEGAN01/05/2006

I didn't know it was supposed to smell like roses. I hate roses. I think this perfume is great and it drives my boyfriend wild!

  • LINA12/31/2005

I don't like heavy and heady fragrances, I prefer something with more 'clean' qualities. This one is light, modern but has an excellent staying power on me. Urban and sophisticated, floral but not in an olfashioned 'flowery' way. I wonder if a perfume extract has more amber (or even more rose), has anyone tried? I would like to try a perfume but I can't find a tester for it.

  • MAYA12/31/2005

I've heard so much about this fragrance... mostly really good comments too... But last summer when I tried it in Sephora I was not too taken by it. It did not enthrall me entirely and I really like for my fragrances to do that before I would consider buying and wearing more them once. Then last weekend I gave it a try again and a totally different experience!!! So feminine and so lovely... I really am impressed this time and now have to have it :) It's roses but not at all that plain type of rose scent. It's purple roses like the bottle itself… and slightly sweet but not in a gourmand way... just very feminine and enticing, gentle and I thought close to the skin but was getting complements when I sampled it… so I guess it carries far further then I suspected. All in all, this is a very unique scent I think...

  • DJ12/16/2005

smells good and others like it. Has any one smelled the sheer stella or sheer stella 2005?, not really sure about the two just that one of them has grapefruit and some kind of apple in one of the perfumes.

  • DS12/11/2005

have a massive crush on her which has just skyrocketed after smelling this on her its awesome

  • KRIS11/18/2005

Stella McCartney came up with a true masterpiece to honor her mother. The combination of rose, citrus, and amber is stunning. It is one that I am considering for a signature scent!

  • KRISTA 11/17/2005

I love it! The only difference between this and the Stella is that it has more rose undertone and Stella has lavendar. After a while it's more "spicy tea-rose".

  • PERFUMER11/02/2005

I just got a sample from a magazine ad, and I was very impressed this scent. Some of you here mentioned about strong rose smell but I didn't even smell anything close to rose but a sensual, exotic, mysterious and classy scent!!! It perfectly matches the bottle.

  • N.N.11/01/2005

I usually don't like rose scents but this one is nice. I tried Stella Absolute, too, and it is almost the same like edp just with a tad stronger rose notes. Anyone tried Stella - a pure perfume? I would like to know something about it, because can't find a tester for a pure perfume. Stella is a nice and modern fragrance indeed, I would just like it to be deeper - edp is quite light and fleeting and I would like something with the same notes but a bit warmer! Any opinions about a body lotion and a body cream too?

  • EMMA10/22/2005

This scent if feminine, but someone ,like me, who doesnt wear perfume a lot can still wear it. Strangers stop me and ask what Im wearing. Even Men will ask because they "have to get it for their wife".

  • S10/20/2005

I tried Rose Absolute and it is so much better than the original, in my opinion! It's a deeper and stronger rose scent, and it lasts much longer. On me, the original smelled a bit watered down, but the Rose Absolute smells rich and intoxicating!

  • VANESSA09/28/2005

I use Stella since it came out in 2003! Great smell!!! Thanks Stella McCartney for such a great fragrance!!!!

  • LEELEEYA09/27/2005

Love this wonderful fragarance. I take a bath in it litteraly. Can't get enough of it. Very sweet and romantic.

  • ELSIE09/24/2005

has anyone worn rose absolute yet? the notes listed are exactly the same as the notes in regular stella, so i'm not sure what's different. i smelled absolute on a card in the store, but i didn't actually try it on because i already had perfume on, and i thought it smelled the same as the regular stella. just curious if anyone's actually worn it yet and what her thoughts are.

  • JSTAGRL2U09/13/2005

Smells exactly as described....a nice floral rose with the warmth of the amber. You don't smell it after you've worn it awhile but it's there...for example I was at a store the other day and young lady asked what I was wearing because she is very sensitive to alot of perfumes but she said that was so nice, something she could definitely wear...I didn't even realize I still had it on because you think it fades but it doesn't, people will detect it and most likely will love it!

  • SENSITIVE NOSE08/22/2005

Stella stands out, I say! And for some reason, it stays with me. I love fragrance but most do not love me, but this one is easy on me. I simply love it, as I do Narciso Rodriguez. Two excellent ones! Wish I could rate it Excellent twice!

  • TARA08/13/2005

I am completely in love with this bewitching, lovely fragrance. I got a sample and then I had to have it! I have gotten so many complements on it, from both men and women. It is definitely one I will continue to wear for years to come. thank you stella mccartney for such a different, wonderful, feminine scent. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TESS08/04/2005

My new favorite. It's all I'll wear now after 11 years of YSL's Paris.

  • JAN07/20/2005

To Stella: I have sniffed the sample sent to me and like the scent, but will not purchase until I can be certain no animal testing (components also) has been done. If the international "rabbit" symbol does not appear on your product, I'm assuming animals have been used. If this is true, what a shame. Just ask your Dad.

  • ROBIN 06/23/2005

Because we seem to share the same tastes (smells??) in scents, I encourage you to come back to this one. In the way that you came to adore Sui Love, you just might become smitten with the sultriness and originality of Stella. I thought it was old-fashioned, straight-up kind of dusty rose at first, but then. . .and remember, Stella Mc. is very contemporary and cosmopolitan, so that's where the designer behind it's coming from. Just think of cool, neo-hippie London with Gwynyth Paltrow and fashion shows and late-night clubs when you smell this next, and it might put it into a more appealing context. . .

  • DOODS06/16/2005

As a perfume afficionado, I always go for the fresh, rosy smell. One day, however, I've decided to look for something different, something not too rosey or floral such as those found in the Givenchy line of perfumes. Then I got the chance to smell STELLA. After a spray on my pulse, I smelled a different scent. Light yet crisp; limey and rosey; commanding yet unassuming. The description is perfect -- it is indeed very contradicting! After a couple of minutes, I started not to like the scent. So I did not buy the perfume. When I reached home hours after, I smelled my pulse again and smelled the most intriguing, haunting smell I ever encountered. The following day I bought the perfume!

  • EVAN06/12/2005

It smells great in the bottle and on your body for about 5 minutes, then it disappears. I bought the lotion to layer on to help intensify the smell, but this doesn't help either. Staying power is not worth the money. I suggest Chanel perfumes.

  • RADHA06/09/2005

as stated above - i generally find rose, and even floral, scents disgusting - so for the longest time i resisted buying stella, even though every time i smelled it i was totally seduced. i'm a big fan of orientals/woody/amber fragrances usually, so i think it's the amber in it that makes it work, for me at least. try it! it's totally unique. (or, actually, don't try it... that way those of us who do wear it will remain few! :-)

  • RADHA06/09/2005

  • LIZZIE05/20/2005

This is a nice fragrance but it smells too old-fashioned for my taste. Not old-lady, exactly, but too old for me (I'm in my early 20's). Lots of sweet florals, and not very complex. I prefer richer, fruitier orientals and/or louder and more sugary fragrances. This one doesn't suit me, although it doesn't smell badly, either.

  • MAYGAN05/16/2005

Am I the only one who thinks that this scent smells nothing like roses? I think it smells more like rubbing alcohol. It only lasts for about a half hour after applied which is disapponting. Hey, it smelled great on the paper in the magazine, but now I want my money back!

  • REBECCA05/13/2005

This is one of my new favorites...so good and everytime I smell it I love it. I get over perfumes really fast, within a month or sometimes a week. But this is that good for me. Different, and feminine, but sultry. Can't wait for it to get in local dept stores.

  • JACQUELINE05/11/2005

I have been searching for the "perfect" fragrance for quite some time & I have now found this in Stella!! Very sensual - Definately not all roses as stated in previous comments (If it was I wouldn't wear it)! Absolutely Lovely scent!

  • MARILYN05/08/2005

I was so disappointed about this one! Everyone'd talked about it, but when I tried it on it just felt like I had a big bunch of red roses in my arms. Nothing more nothing less. It smells like something my granny would wear.

  • BARBARA W05/04/2005

I usually buy orientals and stay away from florals, but I was curious about Stella the store, and sampled it on my wrist. I was very pleasantly surprised. Though it definitely is a "rose" scent, there is a depth to it that I love - must be the amber. It manages to be fresh and voluptuous at the same time. I still love my orientals, but this one will be great for work and for casual spring and summer days.

  • JOHANNE04/08/2005

I love this skin scent. The only thing is that it just doesn't last very long on me. At 115.00 Cdn, I really kind of expected more. I read in a makeup alley review that using cetaphil cream may help it stay longer. I will try the cetaphil lotion and let you know if it helps. I usually go for the edp in most fragrances, but with For Her, I like the edt better....(the edp didn't last much longer either and not much happening in the drydown that was left) Also tried layering with samples of the NR shower gel, cream and lotion but it didn't make that much difference. The scent has orange blossom, Egyptian musk and a hint of vanilla. Thought the edt smelled clean and lovely. Just not for very long. Because of the price and no sillage, can only give it 3 stars. I'll see after the cetaphil lotion test....

I think this is okay stuff, but I am always a little disappointed when I wear it. My husband says it smells like Skoal (not a big compliment) when I spray it on, but it does get better. It's alright... I think it goes best for evenings, it's not a light scent if you ask me.

  • KRIS03/12/2005

Oh Stella....so feminine, fresh, vintage, and modern. A true masterpiece! I need not look for another fragrance for the spring and summer since I already have it. I can't wait to purchase some of the body products.

  • SALLIE02/25/2005

I finally tried Stella after all the good comments, but my chemistry doesn't work well with florals. But it was the best rose perfume that I have smelled.

  • CARLO02/23/2005

Searching for a gift for a woman, I tried STELLA. This fresh, clean, young fragrance, like rosewater was the one. Thank you Stella...

  • JOHANNE02/18/2005

I bought Stella because I really wanted something beautiful and floral. And this is just that when it's first applied. However the drydown is not very pleasant on me. That beautiful rose scent disappears & you're left with an artificial musky scent. I returned Stella but still wanting a rosy scent, I found Evelyn Rose by Crabtree & Evelyn. The rose stays true right to the end with a nice musky skin scent.

  • ARIADNE02/14/2005

I completely agree with Robin. Stella is romantic, but not oldfashioned, it is very contemporary and modern, "urban" fragrance. Very natural and somehow "ecologic" (and that's what Stella McCartney wanted!). I'm very scent-sensitive and many fragrances give me a headache but not this one.

  • ROBIN02/05/2005

Stella herself has described the rose note she was after as like the headiness of a Bulgarian rose when it's so full-bloomed it's almost overripe. That's what I get, too, plus that contrast of deeper, woodier notes. Funny, someone said this was light; I wouldn't call it light at all, but not at all heavy in that old-fashioned way. It's very contemporary, very urban, very womanly -- a new classic.

  • JOANIE01/18/2005

Got my first bottle at the Heathrow Duty Free shop and am glad to see it here. A lovely, fresh, light NATURAL fragrance -- just light Stella Herself. ;-) Thanks, Stell! Well done!

  • SHARRIE01/01/2005

silky and smooth. soft petals. warming my heart. lust and luscious. as silky as an angels wings,. wondrerfu. a fav of mine. pretty in purple.

  • KELLIE12/28/2004

I cannot believe everyone doesn't fall in love with this fragrance. There are about 5 perfumes in the entire world that don't give me a headache, and this is one of them. The best part is, I can still smell it after wearing it for a few hours, where the others seem to fade away.

  • SHARRIE12/24/2004

a true enhancement. truly breathtaking. great potion of magick. total romance ingrediant. wonderful, very shy.

  • MARYL12/21/2004

I've been told by more than one person that this scent doesn't last long on the skin. Opinions please!

  • PATRICE12/13/2004

I get nothing but compliments when I wear this fragrance, from both men and women...mostly men. I can't tell you how many women have stopped me to ask me what I am wearing. I've been told that it lingers in a good way, and reminds people of my presence. Men have said that they would like to be around me all day smelling the scent of beauty, confidence, mystery..me and STELLA.

  • TAZ10/31/2004

This is one of many fragrances that I really like. It is fresh, modern and sensual. Also, it doesn't smell like it's trying to copy another scent, it's really orginal. It doesn't wear off to quickly too - you only need a splash to make an impact and it lasts for ages so it's great value for money.

  • ANNA10/18/2004

This is definitely the best scent I have ever worn. It is both clean and mysterious, with floral tones (and really just a hint of rose, although some people say it's all roses) and the perfect amount of spice. The best part is that it doesn't change or wear off during the day. A coworker said at the end of the day, "Wow, you smell just as good when you're leaving as when you came in!" Try it, you'll love it. I would recommend three spritzes though, because it is a little light: I put one on my wrists, one on my neck and one in my hair.

  • PERFUMEFANATIC10/12/2004

I really like this fragrance. It comes in very funky bottle and captures the beautiful essence of a rose. Wonderful!

  • TANIA10/07/2004

Sheer stella is a bit more sweeter than Stella.

  • P.U.R.P.L.E10/07/2004

I bought Sheer Stella when it was on special about a month ago, and had just received the Stella EDP bought on internet this morning (God I love this scent~). Personally, I find this two scent very similar on me, just the EDP last longer of course.

  • ANDREA G.09/20/2004

Romantic, soft, sexy and modern. I don't like rose perfumes, but this one is - as some of you said - "different", I can't explain why. Looking forward to try Sheer Stella or the pure perfume!

  • SUE C09/19/2004

Probably suited to evenings only, this scent is too 'serious' for my taste, a little heavy and almost old-fashioned. It's very rose dominated and not complex in formulation, so steer clear if you dislike rose scents.

  • DONNA09/12/2004

different, but in a very good way. It growes on you.

  • ERICA08/31/2004

i thought i'd ask, has anyone smelled the "sheer stella" that's out now? i was wondering if there was a big difference between the two scents.

  • ERICA08/31/2004

i can't quite decide if i like this one, i keep going back and forth on it. i had a sample from when it first came out and i thought it smelled too much like rose (i usually HATE rose smelling stuff), then the more i wore it the more i liked it, then i sort of got sick of it, and now i like it again. i just think it's sort of simple and not very complex. it is different though, which is definitely a good thing.

  • M07/25/2004

Not as sweet as perfumes based on roses generally are. I get the feeling of a dry rose scent, mybe rosewood. The perfume lasts the hole day even now in the summer and the scent doesn´t change to something else, some colonges dry down to a chemical candellike smell. When I sniff Stella I image the old Victorian days, like in the movie (about ten years ago, dont remember the name something with innocense I think) about a wealty east cost family (New York or Boston) with Wiona Ryder and Michelle Pfeiffer.

  • MAGGIE07/16/2004

Sexy, feminine and very lingering. I really love it. I get compliments on it all the time. And even after a long day, when I get a swiff ot it i still like it. Great for the summer.

  • SOSO(QATAR)07/12/2004

THIS PERFUME IS THE BEST ONE I HAD EVER SMELL . IT IS PERFECT AND I HOPE EVERYBODY HAD SUCH PERFUME....

  • QATAR07/04/2004

very nice perfume, I HAD TEST IT but I cant find it in A mall near my home. I WISH TO BUY IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.IT IS REALY FANTASTIC.

  • MISS TRINA07/03/2004

I personally love this perfume! And if you know what a good perfume smells like....you'll definetly love this one!

  • HAMPWIFE06/30/2004

this perfume is one that gets a compliment everytime you pass someone. this is a very different soft , sexy and pretty fragrance !!!!!i just love it!!!!!!!

  • MAXXXX06/29/2004

Lovley perfume. Definatley a favourite. Subtle roses and so feminine. Not your usual rose fragrance. Something speacial here.

  • DENISE06/21/2004

I recently added Stella to my fragrance line-up...I have received more compliments and inquiries about Stella than any of the other scents that I wear.

  • SUNNY06/19/2004

Didn't care for this one too much. Very strong soapy scent.

  • DEBORAH06/17/2004

I like the uniqueness and contrasts blended in this fragrance. To me the scent feels at once both soft and sharp. It is roses, but more . . . great scent!

  • LESLIE06/16/2004

I agree about the bottle. but the fragrance has grown on me and I really like it (even though I typically don't like rose-based scents)

  • INGRID06/13/2004

I've tried this and am frankly very disappointed. Stella designs are so create and complex yet this fragrence is not. Just smells like roses. It's only saving grace is that it is gentle and not as biting as the cheaper rose waters. I also don't think the dark purple edgy bottle suits the product.
