I'd been searching high and low for this bottle of heaven - Guess. by GUESS. (frosted bottle, silver cap, red and white box). I LOVE this fragrance but had to say "good-bye" almost FIVE YEARS AGO when they discontinued it. So, imagine by delight/shock when I saw that perfume emporium had it!!!! Please please please keep this perfume on the market!!! I'll buy your whole stock if I have to!

  • FRAGRANCE LOVER01/21/2008

  • MARY05/11/2007

  • WENDY04/03/2007

Ohhh my G. I'm even happier to know I'm not the only NUT out there looking for the old guess smell. I fell in love with my self when I wore it, it smelled that good. Where do we get a copy????

  • MELANIE02/13/2007

I don't know either of these two, unless someone cares to share with me how they smell. I do know, however, about Guess Gold and it smells very light and pretty. I wonder how come it's not on this site yet? In case you're wondering it smells quite similar to curve soul.

  • NANCY12/20/2006

I never smelled the old guess but I must say I really love the new guess, it is light and interesting and I have gotten favourable feedback on it. It is obviously not the same product so get over it. Hence the new and old terms.

  • PATSY GOODMAN12/04/2006

Bring it back please. People would say you smell wonderful. The guess now is not pleasing at all.

  • SANDY12/02/2006

I'm glad I'm not the only one that misses this fragrance. Last time I bought it was in a drug store for less than $20, next time I saw it was on the internet for $$$. Why did have to discontinue it?

  • ILI11/07/2006

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only person really missing my favorite perfume ever..Who do we call at Guess to bring back the old Guess scent?

  • BECCA10/06/2006

This product needs to be brought back to the market, why it was taken off noone knows. It was affordable yet it was a very well rounded smell for everyday use or to go out with. This was the only perfume I would buy, now I am having to spend a fortune on other products to get the same quality.

  • LAURIE10/01/2006

I can't imagine who 's idea it was to discontinue a product that you could spray just a small amount and have heads turn when you walk by. Bring back the "Old Guess" please.

  • AMBERLEIGH09/01/2006

I thought I was the only one who pined for the "old" Guess. I, too, don't understand why they discontinued such a great product. I still get compliments on how I smell. I have two bottles left. I am going to be traumatized when they are gone!

  • ALLISON R.04/08/2006

I've only smelled the new Guess in pages of magazines. I can tell that it is on the light fruity side. Nothing like the original. I remember picking up bottles of the older version at drugs stores. I usually spent under twenty dollars for the perfume and lotion. Sometimes there would be a smaller bottle along w/ the perfume, kind of like a two for one sale. Long are those days were you could find a top quality perfume with lasting power galore for only pennies on the dollar. Maybe the old fans should sign a petition to the Guess ceo's to give us what they promised years ago.

  • JACQUIE03/31/2006

Apparently we are all fans of the "old guess" perfume. I thought it was just me who was going crazy looking for it in 2006 as I was finally running out of bottles I have purchased over the years. The new product is horrible!! And the only place I have been able to find the old version is at a website...and they are asking a ransom for it! It is very sad indeed!

  • LORIE01/12/2006

I agree, the old Guess is the best it should have never been discontinued, that was a huge mistake, the other fragrences can't possible touch it

  • SARAH12/18/2005

have had withdrawal symptoms for years when guess went off market please bring the old guess back. Nothing comes near.

  • ALLISON10/24/2001

I too have been wearing the true Guess since it came out and am devasted that it is discontinued. I called Guess customer service to see if they had ideas of where to find it. They suggested 3 websites, to which they sold their overstock when it was discontinued. They are: perfumeemporium.com, (which obviously is out of date), perfumesdirect.com and perfumeforless.com. Good luck.

  • KARINA10/22/2001

Hi ladies! I was also surprised to see that the original "Guess" had been taken off the market- and replaced by something that smells nothing like it! After a little searching, I found the old version on a site called "99perfume.com" They are selling a 1.7 oz spray for $36.95, a 3.4 oz for $54.95, and the real perfume, .25 oz, for $69.95. Seems a little pricey for a discount website, but as we all know, when we get hooked on a particular scent, we have to have it no matter what the cost! Good luck!

  • TERRY10/21/2001

I have been trying to find the old guess where did it go Help!

  • ANNA W.10/19/2001

I'm glad I read the Message Board before I placed my order for the "new" Guess..it sounds like it would of been a waste of my hard earned money..I would pay twice the price to get the "old" Guess back..However I have found it occassionally at the Drug Emporium....but not lately :(

  • GRACE JACKSON10/12/2001

I ordered the new guess thinking I was getting the old one and when I received it I was very disappointed. I didn't even take it completely out of the box it smelled so bad, needless to say I sent it right back. I've been purchasing the old guess since it came out in 1990 and has been my favorite.....where did it go?

  • REBECCA10/11/2001

I'm with you Melissa....what happened to the old one????? The new one is nothing like the old...if its not broke - don't fix it!!!!!!!!

  • KARLA09/30/2001

I would LOVE to find the old Guess!

  • MELISSA OFFUTT09/28/2001

what happened to the origional ?that was my favorite!!!?

  • LINAKA08/19/2001

ladies beware...this is not the wonderful original fragrance of "Guess by Geroges Marciano" the new version is absolutely nasty..I ordered some and will be sending it back. The new version should be pulled off the market or renamed as it is an insult to the original.
