My husband bought me this fragance as a gift 20 years ago and I still wear it to this day. I always get compliments about my scent from family members, friends and even strangers.

I know a lot of people really love this one...but I swear it smells like insect repellent to me. I don't have much luck with any of the de la renta perfumes....maybe it's my chemistry?

Volupte is no longer marketed in Barbados but it was an absolutely lovely fragrance.

Its just an "in your face" floral. Sort of obnoxious. It could also be a chemistry issue too.

I had a bottle of Volupte given to me as a gift about 14 yrs ago and it still smells very good. I don't use it very often because i like trying all kinds of perfumes.

I love it, and do I get comments from men and women. Great scent, long lasting, sexy, elegant, what else can we ask for. As lomg as they do not change the formula. Oh, yes discovered this one by pure luck. It was, maybe , meant to be.

Could be the the Voluptes that are left are getting a little old. Also, I found on fragrance.net almost the same exact description for Rumba by Balenciaga. Both strong. I have never smelled Rumba but maybe you can find someone who has.

I don't like this perfume -too strong. However, all you have to do is do a Yahoo search and put down "volupte perfume" and it will pull up several perfume websites that have it. That is how I get all my perfumes that are no longer in stores. This perfume is mentioned in most websites I have gotten into. Once all the perfumes are sold out everywhere including the internet-then that is all there is unless you want to chance the E-bay.

It is much too strong. I went to a Yankee night game, and I literally had bugs flying around me with this very fruity scent on.

i got hooked on volupte when it first came out and it had been my favorite/only perfume until recently. i had noticed that my supply (from when it could be purchased in major department stores) didn't smell the same anymore. i ordered some online from fragrancenet, delighted to have a new bottle. although the packaging was sealed and for a short time it smelled like the volupte of old...the fragrance turned "bad" in a matter of weeks. i'm a little confused how this works. i thought the product had been discontinued, so i don't really understand where the supply is coming from. anyways, i have faced the fact that i need to move on to a new scent. i'm finding it very hard to replace. the new cool-tone scents smell masculine to me and i'm not big on strong florals. appreciate the suggestion by another poster to try Il Bacio! i have also found that Estee Lauder's Intution is vaguely reminiscent in it's warm notes.

Volupte is my all time favorite fragrance. If you're looking for it try FragranceNet.com and eBay also. If you're looking for another wonderful cologne try IL BACIO by Princess Borghese. I was surprised at how wonderful it smells. It is now my second favorite. The fragrance is similar to Volupte. Like Volupte, it is very feminine and romantic.

Nice fragrance - beautiful bottle - nice name. But the smell was not so voluptuous as I thought it would be. I missed a special full-bodied, warm, alluring dry-down in this fragrance. Volupte lacks something I was waiting for... So I gave my bottle away. No regrets :-)

Clean and clear floral but lacks sensuality . Very Spring and fresh but not really for me

I too bought this in the very early 90's when it first came out - LOVE IT THEN. I like to wear many different perfumes and never buy a second bottle. I remember how much I loved this one and going to buy a botte after 12 years. Thanks Perfume Emporium for selling so many lovely, impossible to find perfumes.

Awesome fragrance. It is so fresh, uplifting, feminine and long lasting. Reminds me of EA Provocative Woman or Tresor by Lancome, but I really love Volupte...it is a classic.

I thought Oscar de la Renta had discontinued this fragrance a couple of years ago. If it hasn't been in production, where is is all coming from? Are we buying fakes?

This is the my favorite fragrance and I've tried them all. I love it -- it's just heavenly. It goes everywhere you go and I love that. Volupte is DEVINE!! I am delighted that you carry the lotion so that I can layer. VOLUPTE IS DIVINE. I FINALLY FOUND THE FRAGRANCE I'LL NEVER STOP WEARING!!!!!!

I love this scent! My mom bought this for me as a wedding gift last 1994 & I remember being so thrilled to wear it that day! The smell lingers around you --I 've tried many perfumes since then but 3 weeks ago I was at a duty free store in an airport & I saw a VOLUPTE bottle! I was so excited to see it again so i tried it on myself--Wow all the memories of wearing this wonderful scent came back-- Many hours after my flight was over, I found myself continually sniffing my wrist--just to get a whiff of this wonderful fragrance--the drydown is amazing & the initial scent smells different thatn what --That truly led me to on a quest to find this perfume since its discontinued in department stores. I finally found it online & ordered a bottle--I just can't wait to be reunited with this perfume--Its one of my all time favorite perfumes & I am extremely picky--You will ike this perfume if you like rich, sensual, sophisticated scents that linger--it is rich & sweet without being iccky & cheap smelling. Its hard to describe! I am thrilled to read all the reviews here & to know that there are other women who had fallen in love with this scent!Great taste!

Voluptuous I have been wearing this fragrance since 1994.I was intrigued by the name & the bottle I sampled the perfume and liked the delicate lightness of the first spray I asked the assistant for 3 spray cards one I placed in my purse, the second under my husbands pillow, & the third in his tool box. My Birthday & Christmas came & went. Not till our anniversary some months later did I receive an expensive gift box. My husband was so taken by the scent he had been saving to buy this for me. Nine bottles later!! I am about to fly from New Zealand to Australia and guess what my duty- free purchase will be.

Reminds me a little of YSL's "Paris" - I think because both are rich in violet and heliotrope and finish with cedar and sandalwoods.

I love this fragrance! I have never had the spray but I had some of the parfum lotion once. I loved the creamy and rich smell. It is very unique. I can't find it anywhere though! Many places stopped carrying. :(

I purchased a set which included the large EDT, lotion and a small EDP. I love this scent. It is sweet without being "fruity".

I was really excited to try this because I read all the positive comments and then I came across several bottles at my local T.J. Maxx, priced really cheap. I was really disappointed--it was very harsh and synthetic. Wonder if the product was just too old, since perfumes do have a shelf life ...

volupte is too volupte if you catch my meaning.while i can understand the other ladies devotion i think its a bit much.i mean even though you smell good you wonder are you being offensive plus you smell yourself coming and going in and out of rooms.wonderful candidate for lotion or shower gel only.

I love Volupte, it is the first perfume I can continue to wear through the years. Unfortunately it is no longer offered at my department stores and the only way I can find it is on line.

I was so excited to have finally found Volupte again. After I got my first bottle and ran through that, I was never able to find it again. It smells wonderful and i highly recommend it.

I have never had more compliments on a fragrance before. It is the only thing I've worn for years. I hope Oscar will continue to distribute this product because I would not wear any other. Most perfumes give me a headache, but not this one. Please, Please don't stop making it!

I started wearing Volupte in 1992 when I received a sample of the body lotion in the mail. I have worn no other fragrance since. I am so upset that I can't find it in department stores here in Toronto. I am looking for the shower gel specifically. I won't used anything else...

I agree with Lisa. Volupte is a great semi-oriental fragrance. But I LOVED Ruffles by Oscar de la Renta much more! What a pity that he stopped making it. There seems to be a big demand for Ruffles too, as I've seen bids for used bottles of it reach upwards of $50 on ebay. Please bring back Ruffles, Oscar!

no other fragrance can compare to volupte, I don't know what I'll do when I can't find it anymore. I've been wearing Volupte since at least 93. My husband is crazy over it and got me my first bottle just before we got married. When he went away to boot camp I sprayed all his letters with it and he would keep them under his pillows to smell at night. I don't understand why they'd discontinue it. I dont wear anything else.

I have been wearing Volupte for since 1995, I feel in love with this fragrance the first ti,me I smelt it. I would always have someone come up to me and ask what it was, (men & women) I only found one department store that carried it. Then I was almost out and went to buy some more, it was discontinued. I called some friends in the big city to see if they could locate it, no luck. Then I found it on the internet, now I buy a couple bottles at a time, I too don't know what I am going to do if I can no longer buy it. I already tried going and testing other scents, (actually spent hours) but nothing compares to this scent. Please keep this available to the dedicated wearers of this fabulous cologne.

Volupte is the most wonderful fragrance I have ever worn and I want to KEEP wearing it. I cannot believe that they would even consider discontinuing it. I have been having trouble finding it now also. Two years ago I bought 4 bottles while in Singapore and it does keep well. I have also never found a scent to compare. Does anyone know what some of the main scents that go into this wonderful fragrance are?

I defintely agree!!!!1 I have a friend that gets me this fragrance (testers), and I buy as many as I can to have them for a year. The friend is in New York, and was told that this fragrance is being discontinued, and that's why the stores are not carrying it any more. In fact, the place in New York, and also in California, does not and says won't ever have anymore. Needless to say, we keep looking. The prices that are in these discounted sites are higher than what I got the testers for. If I can't find any more even after I'm all gone, I need to know what fragrance is close to this sent. It's the best I have ever had,and I've been using it as long as Tonia. I don't wear anything else either. I get compliments on Volupte all the time. DON'T STOP PRODUCING IT! I'M BEGGING!!!!!

I've been wearing Volupte for seven years. I've not worn any other fragrance this long. Nor have I used any other fragrance since discovering this wonderful scent. I was saddened a couple of years ago to find that the major department stores are no longer carrying Volupte. For whatever reason, that's a true loss for them. I've been purchasing the fragrance at outlet shops and make sure that I have enough to last the year until my next trip to the outlets. Please do not discontinue this fragrance. I wouldn't know what I'd do. Thanks for bringing this wonderful fragrance into my life! I will be a lifetime purchaser.
