Rather overwhelming. Could be toned down to be more subtle. Not for the feint hearted.

Very good, long lasting cologne. Very different to most smells out there. Goes on very strong at first, but mellows nicely about 15-20min, then stays close to the skin throughout the day. Lingers on clothes very nicely.

I have looked for this perfume in the past 5 years since I was ntroduced to it in Nigeria. I ordered for it on 4/21/09 and can't wait to get the perfume.

Glad I found this cologne, hard to locate. I have had more compliments on wearing this then any other.

This is one of the worst fragrance that I ever tried. The same type like Gianfranco Ferre classic. But lil bit much better than it.

New bf wears it and all the girls chase him!!! one of a kind scent,high quality inscense ingredients yes small amts last a long time.no others as good.

For those of you who have purchased LAPIDUS, if you really dont like it, please send any unused portion to me. I have been searching for this cologne for years in South Carolina. Can't find it anywhere. Lapidus is truly loved by this MAN and the LADIES in this mans life.

Personally, I find the smell kind of sour-musky. But for whatever reason, women go nuts for it. I've prodded them to explain themselves, but I never get anything more than that they think it's "sexy." ... which is good enough for me.

Judging by previous comments, Lapidus is an acquired taste. Personally, I like it. It's hard to find in the shops here in England. I prefer to wear this than any of those more popular (Aramis et al) scents.

This stuff is not bad at all. It is very strong and lasts all day. It has a sweet smell to it. Not that deep of a scent, for that hit the Carons, but Lapidus is very solid. Not a mistake to buy, but somewhat ordinary, not a waste of money, but somewhat average or slightly above. Pretty Good.

If this is not the worse scent ever, then I wonder, what else could it be? Smells greasy, artificial and old. certainly not my kind, altough I like classy and kind-of-old scents too for formal wearing, I wouldn't try this one on me ever.

I Agree with Sam. Lapidus is not for just anyone. It must fit right like a good pair of jeans. Lapidus has created a scent unlike any other. For the Masculine Man, the Adventurer, the Romantic, the lover...

LAPIDUS is not for every man. This stuff is NOT good for "mattoids!" I have been using it for years. I have only received compliment after compliment. Yet I can't wear stuff like "Avon The Flower Garden Whatever" etc. A man has to be a "furry leathery-type" brawny maverick before LAPIDUS is going to do much for him. "Cheerleaders, song-stylists, & evening tea sippers" need to avoid. Salute' LAPIDUS!!

This is by far the worst scent I've ever purchased. It is so strong and doesn't "mellow" out at all. It smells like ben gay, musk, and ammonia. But, every man reacts differently to colognes. My body reacts better to sweeter colognes.

People, you need to remember that colognes do not smell the same on everyone. Your personal body chemistry has a lot to do with the end result. Therefore, what might smell awful on you, might smell GREAT on another. Personally, I LOVE it when my guy wears this!!!

It´s a thrilling fragrance. It put ladies at the clouds and send them back on a kiss. It´s just aggressive.

Had to try this with, so many people here giving it praise. Big mistake! I think gucci rush might even be better than this cheap, horrid scent.

AS FAR AS YOU COMPARING THIS TO DESIRE, I HATE TO SAY IT BUT, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG ON THIS ONE. THIS CANNOT SMELL ANYWHERE CLOSE TO DESIRE. THESE ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCENTS. IF I HAD TO PICK MYSELF, I WOULD BUY EVERY SUPPLY OF DESIRE BEFORE I EVEN TAKE LAPIDUS FOR FREE. THAT'S JUST ME.

And very long lasting! But use smal quantities

This perfume really sucks; ladies hate it.

This is definitely a must have. I will tell you it works! You only need to buy 5 colognes for your arsenal to get noticed: (1) Gaultier LeMale (2) Xeryus Rouge (3) Hollywood (4) Lapidus (5) Bijan. Of course there are a few others but to arouse their suspicion because they are not citrusy or smell like the ocean these are the ones. BUY THEM and you will not be disappointed.

I was encouraged to try this, based on the posted messages. It's true, Lapidus is oddly amazing. I love it.

This fragrance is in the same lines as Kouros, but is much different, even better. A very unique scent that is an attention grabber, long lasting and very smooth and mello on the skin. Perfect for cold weather and a must have for a night date out on the town.
