  • FIONNA INGRAM11/08/2014

Azuree makes me feel young again. It has a lovely summery sunshiney effect on me. It reminds me of long hot summer days on the beach.

Azuree is my favourite perfume. No other perfume draws as many compliments. It is quite exquisite.

  • MARGY11/01/2012

I've been using this since it was first released which is over 30 years ago. Everyone comments on it and people now even mention how they know it's me by my scent. I just love it. It's no longer available in Australia, thankfully Galaxy exists so I can still buy it.

  • TERRY LYLE11/10/2010

I BEGAN USING AZUREE IN 1969 WHEN I WAS 33 YEARS OLD. I AM NOW 74 AND I STILL GET COMPLIMENTS FROM MEN AND WOMEN ON HOW LUSCIOUS I SMELL! NOT TOO SHABBY FOR A SILVER-HAIRED FOX. I HAVE TRIED OTHER FRAGRANCES, MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE AND WIDELY PROMOTED BUT, I ALWAYS COME BACK TO MY FIRST LOVE. THE ONE THT MAKES MEN STOP ME IN ELEVATORS, GROCERY STORES, BASKETBAL GAMES AND SAY, "GOD LADY, WHAT IS THAT YOU ARE WEARING THAT SMELLS SO DAMN GOOD?" I SIMPLY SAY, "FOLLOW ME AND FIND OUT." LOL LOL LOL

  • CYNDI09/02/2010

The only scent I've worn since 1972.

  • CC12/01/2009

Why is it that, in my years of collecting and talking about fragrances with other people passionate about the stuff, nobody has ever mentioned Azurée? All those connoisseurs love leather, love pre-eighties perfumery, complain that the classics have been debased by lousy substitutions with cheaper stuff. They weep that Cabochard (Grès) has had its complicated, stormy bits removed; they mourn the streamlining of Jolie Madame (Balmain); they cry that Caron has tampered with their Tabac Blond; they sigh that an era has passed. Meanwhile, Estée Lauder, faithful keeper of one of the most consistently high-quality lines of fragrances ever created, falls prey to the usual notion that only the new is worth mentioning, and hides the old stuff under the counter like contraband. Wrong! Azurée is a grand, confident leather from 1969 by Bernard Chant, creator of Cabochard and Aromatics Elixir (Clinique), with some of the surprisingly persistent lemony-woody sunshine of Monsieur Balmain and a soft, dusty almost grimy leather-chypre heart as comfortable as an old leather glove, a fragrance now as good as it´s ever been and just about as good as it gets.

  • BRAINMAPPER03/22/2009

Ten years ago, I had Azuree. It ran out and I didnt replace the bottle as I was very busy with life in general. I went out to buy a perfume this weekend and held off on the one that I had intended on getting, just to browse a little longer. I by then had forgotten all about Azuree, but then accidently *bumped* into Azuree again by test-scenting. Once I smelled Azuree, a flood of memories came back about how much I loved its scent and all the life experiences I had when wearing it. The bottle is now different, but my love for the scent continues. I bought it right there and at the moment am wearing it. Love it.

  • JUDY07/14/2008

My best friend wears Azuree and smells delicious. I've heard it smells different on everyone as it's a chemistry thing. Do you think I could get away with wearing it too and not have her think I'm a copy cat?

  • HAZEL04/15/2008

I started wearing this fragrance back in 1972 or 1973. I still wear it today and wouldn't be without it. The short time I couldn't get it was a miserable time for me. I do try other fragrances occasionally but I always keep Azuree! Love it - please never stop it again! Others have said it is a chemistry thing and it is somewhat but I don't think I have ever smelled it on anyone that it was a pleasant aroma.

  • JAN D.09/28/2007

I agreee! I've worn it about 30 years and I have people all the time stop and ask what I'm wearing! It truly is a body chemistry thing! Just wish I could find some Azuree dusting powder! Anyonr know where I could find some? Thanks!

  • BARBARA W07/21/2007

I like some green fragrances, but this was just too much. Smelled stale and bitter to me.

  • DOTTIE04/20/2007

This was originally created to be the ladies' equivalent of Aramus. I love it and have worn it for 30 years (except for the time it was discontinued). It is the only fragrance that I am not allergic to. I receive compliments all the time. People have stopped me in stores to ask what fragrance I'm wearing because it smells so good. Remember that fragrance reacts with body chemistry so it smells different on each person. This is my signature fragrance!

  • JULIE04/14/2007

I wore this about 30 years ago, and it was very strong & spicy. I liked it for a while, but moved on & never looked back.

  • LS12/25/2006

For those of you who want certain Estee Lauder fragrances continued, simply go to their web site and write them personally. I have always gotten a friendly response, and they tell me my comments are forwarded to those who make decisions about their fragrances.

  • ANGELA09/17/2006

My mother gave me her bottle because it smelled too green on her. I found it too heady at first- but the dry-down is a scent that makes me keep coming back, not bad, not something I love- but very interesting. Kinda leathery, powdery, with a hint of.. somthing..

  • BRENDA09/02/2006

I love this perfume and have won it for years. Always am complimented. I did not know there is an updated version. Can we still buy the original?

  • CHARLOTTE08/23/2006

My husban's sister has worn this the entire thirty years I have known her and it has always made me queasy to even be around her with it on. Wish to goodness she'd switch. This scent in my opinion, was one of the few real mistakes Estee Lauder ever made in the fragrance area. Estee which came out around the same time or a little after this is a much better choice if you like the cyphers. Cannot understand the loyalty to this one. Yuk!

  • MELANIE06/22/2006

Tom Ford has taken it upon himself to bring back Azuree but in an "up to date" formula. If you love the original as I do, take care what you buy.

  • KAREN03/24/2006

I have never had so many people comment on how wonderful I smell.

  • STEPHANIE03/17/2006

Thank you for carrying this fragrance. I have worn it as my signature scent since it came out in 1969!

  • SUE02/02/2006

Found it at last! I have missed this perfume for the last 12 years, it's so good to have it again. Thank you so much for shipping it to the UK. My children even remember the scent from when they were very small.

  • SUE12/19/2005

Just like to say what a speedy delivery of my Azuree. So pleased that I am able to purchase this wonderful fragrance again. I have also bought one for my friend for Christmas, I know that she will be thrilled with it, having thought that it was lost forever. Thank you.

  • JAN11/19/2005

If you can't find Azuree, try Bandit. In fact, Bandit was first, and is the classic scent of this kind. Last's longer, too.

  • PERFUMECHIQUITA11/18/2005

Hi pazzo-No. 19 is incredible! To my nose azuree and no 19 are not 100% similar but are sisters. No. 19 has a chic, soft leathery greeness softened with smooth soft florals poking out--confident and strong yet very feminine--I think of it as walking through damp soft woods with little wet green flowers blooming here and there. Azuree has the same earthiness, but is "sharper" yet more smooth and herbal. If Cristalle works for you, try the EDT (NOT EDP, it's different)- it's exuberant vivid and herbal (basil, petigrain, lemon, bergamont) with a nice earthy green base--chanel no 19 lite-in the best way! Try these 3, but the good news is I can still find azuree testers at dept. stores. It's hidden, but it's there. Plus azuree is cheaper than chanel! I defintately need to revisit azuree as cristalle edt pleasantly surprised me.

  • PAZZO10/18/2005

Is chanel 19 similar to azuree, one friend assured me that if i couldn't get azuree i shld simply move on to chanel 19 as that had a leathery note in it as well.

  • PAZZO10/18/2005

May be there's something we can do to make sure that azuree is always available.I use mine in microscopic quantites,to make it last longer as i'm afraid to go to estee counter and find out that it has been discontinued.

  • CAROLYN09/29/2005

I have worn this for 30 yrs.I love it& it smells divine in hot climates, is that why it's known as The Sunshine Fragrance? Problem is the eau d' parfume doesn't smell as good on me as the perfume (discontinued) did.

  • SYLVIE08/01/2005

Thanks Vivian for your input. I adore SCHERRER (the classic-not Scherrer II). Scherrer classic is one of my beloved favorites. Magnificent scent. Strong, breathtaking, crisp, and self-confident. Smells very expensive and wonderful. Greetings from Germany, Sylvie.

  • VIVIAN07/12/2005

Another fragrance that can help you get over the scarcity of Azuree is Jean-Louis Scherrer. Cabochard is better, but doesn't last very long. NOTHING is a match for Azuree. What is with Estee Lauder? I never go out with Azuree on that I don't get tons of compliments, and it lasts and lasts. I'm always scared to death that someday I won't be able to buy it.

  • TONI07/11/2005

I know I am a minority of one here, but I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to wear this fragrance. Am I the only one who finds this entirely too strong and overpowering. A friend of mine has been wearing a perfume lately which is so strong I have become almost nauseated and I finally got up the gumption to ask her what it is and she said "Azuree". My God, it was so strong it almost ruined the taste of the food I was eating!

  • LIZ05/04/2005

I have been wearing Azuree for 20+ years for special evening occasions. I carefully keep it wrapped and stored in the darkest part of my closet. Lovers have adored this fragrance. It is long lasting and so wildly sexy, not for the subdued.

  • JOYCE04/24/2005

i am using azuree for 30 year, but you can´t buy it in europe anymore what i don´t understand, only with this perfum i do get great complements and women always ask me what i am wearing, unfortunatly i´ve got to tell them that it is only for sale in the states. I don´t understand why they took it out of the market in europe???? It´s one of estee´s best perfumes ever!!!! Can´t they put it back on the european market again!!??

  • CK02/07/2005

One of the many fragrances I had purchased when I was younger. I didn't know then, but It was a little too 'mature', for my age at the time. It was different had a leathery dry-note. I hope they did not change the formula. Estee makes very good fragrances that lasts. So I hope this has the same staying power as her other fragrances. This is your meeting fragrance, your conference scent. It indepent! That's what I remebered about it!

  • DONNA01/01/2005

I have not used Azuree for some time since I could not find it. It is the best fragrance I have ever worn and it has gotten more compliments...one guy walked right up to me and asked the name of the scent so he could buy his girlfriend some. (scared the pants off me, but it certainly speaks to the popularity of the fragrance)

  • MELANIE09/23/2004

I've been wearing Azuree since 1974 when a woman I was in Army Basic Training with introduced me to it. My husband loved it and I've always gotten complements when I wear it. Sad to say, I contacted Estee Lauder on line about the lotion and talc that they used to make in this scent and was told that they no longer make Azuree at all. I'm so glad to have found it on line. I do wish that I could find the lotion, soap, and talc.

  • MARSHA09/03/2004

I have been wearing Azuree for over 25 years. I live in the Midwest and I suggest wearing this perfume in the winter months. If you love Aramis on men, this is a dead ringer with a feminine touch.

  • M08/28/2004

Azuree is simalar to Cabotine by Gres but a little bit fresher more "minty". Not so easy to wear, as the formula is very strong you have to be careful when you put it on. Too much of it and it turns over to be too sharp.

  • HAILEY 07/28/2004

This perfume dries down to the most leathery, sexy, divine fragrance, I cannot describe! BUT, the top notes are so unattractive (too pungeant, citrusy), that it unfortunately makes the whole azuree experience unworth it for me. Does anyone know of a fragrance that smells more like the bottom notes of azuree from start to finish?

  • PAZZO07/13/2004

Thanx a lot Sylvie for u'r suggestions.I had bought Anais Anais by cacharel because it says it has leather in it, but it is a little too flowery, tho not disgustingly sweet like other florals.Anyway cabochard is not available in US in any stores that I know.I could order it online , but then I wouldn't be able to test it.So thanx a lot for u'r suggestions.U r right about Azuree being long lasting.I'm glad I found it, as it is not displayed in Estee counters anymore. They only display the new fragrances.Better this way, more for us Azuree lovers ,right?

  • SYLVIE07/05/2004

Hi Pazzo, If you like Azuree you like leathery chypre scents. Please test the following fragrances: Mitsouko/Guerlain, Femme/Rochas, Givenchy III, Miss Balmain, Halston for woman, Halston Z-14 for men(!), Fendi Classic for women (yellow/black box), Aramis Classic for men(!), Madness/Chopard and Black Cashmere by Donna Karan. All these fragrances smell very special and "self-confident" with a little "masculine" touch. Leathery-chypre fragrances are very strong and long-lasting and not for every woman. Greetings!!

  • PAZZO06/27/2004

Thanx so much for suggesting cabochard.I haven't had a chance to try it yet.May be u could suggest a few other names too.I appreciate u'r interest.Thanx again.

  • SYLVIE06/17/2004

Please let me know if you like *Cabochard* by Parfums Grès. Greetings from Germany.

  • PAZZO06/03/2004

I have never tried eau belle, but on a site called fragrancenet.com I found that it is similar to azuree.Anyway I will try to find cabochard as I love azuree so i hope to like that too.I really also like cabotine by parfum gres.Thanx for u'r input tho.

  • SYLVIE05/19/2004

Noway. EAU BELLE by Azzaro is not similar. Eau Belle is a nice, fresh, light but HARMLESS fragrance. Soft and not long-lasting. A refresher-cologne for hot summer days. If you love the dark, mysterious, fantastic leathery and "smoky" smell of the unique AZUREE you will be very disappointed. If you are searching for a similar fragrance try the French classic "CABOCHARD" by Parfum Grès Paris. A hard to find but wonderful scent. Look here under Parfum Grès. CABOCHARD is a masterpiece and comes next to AZUREE.

  • PAZZO05/08/2004

Simply one of the best woody smelling perfumes.Stays on forever.Nothing sweet or friuty about like the million others in the market.Very unique!!But I'm told Eau belle de azzaro by Azzaro is very similar to it.

  • LINDA05/02/2004

I have never worn a fragrance that I have gotten so many compliments! Both men and women comment on it. So glad to find it here since they don't even display it at Estee Lauder counters at dept. stores. My favorite!

  • SHARON FRANKLIN12/22/2003

I love it. I have worn it for 22 years. It goes on strong, but then softens to a wonderful powdery scent. Magnificent. Nothing compares. It stands alone. It is guarenteed to draw rave reviews.

  • MICHELE12/02/2003

I am sooooo happy ! I thought they quit making Azuree a zillion years ago and have nursed my last bottle for eons and only used on special occasions. I fell in love with Azuree when I was working in marketing for Estee Lauder in the late 70s. The men in my life (before I was married !!) have always gushed over how I smelled and it is the fragrance I wore on my first date with my husband 25 years ago. He has never liked anything like he LOVES Azuree ! Any man that is near you when you wear this will comment wonderfully on it. It is a very mysterious sexy scent. Even my Dad says that I smell so good (which is kinda creepy, I know !!!). But anyway, call me crazy but I didn't know that these perfume outlets existed. I am so excited to be ordering a bottle of Azuree along with a bottle of Aramis Devin which I also thought was discontinued. They will be packaged together as one of my husband's Christmas gifts. He will be a very happy boy !

  • SYLVIE M.08/31/2003

AZUREE is really very similar to CABOCHARD: Outstanding, long-lasting (!), tough, masculine, leathery and sexy. No perfume for beginners and no flower-power-sweet-fruity thing.

  • SUE08/09/2003

i have been wearing this fragrance for 20 years...there is no other perfume that i have worn that has gotten as much positive reaction from men...they love it.

  • H.03/23/2003

That was great advice you gave Sue ... I totally agree with you ... Cabochard by Parfums Gres does smell just like Azuree ... bought a bottle of Cabochard online and returned it because I already have Azuree ... I've loved Azuree forever!

  • GUERLAINIA03/22/2003

Nice when it goes on, then turns musty and masculine smelling. It's a rip off of Piguet's Bandit.

  • F.W.03/12/2003

People have stopped me and asked what fragrance I am wearing. I love azuree, it makes me feel like a real woman.

  • RIMA02/06/2003

I discovered Azuree back in the early 70s and loved its uniqueness. At the time I felt that it was the most uncommon fragrance around. I too hate smelling like everyone else. Also at that time Estee Lauder had introduced a line of bath products which included a mint bath gel, and something called European Mineral Bath Salts which turned your bath water the color of the sea. I would bathe in this stuff and then spritz on some Azuree before a party. And, I never lacked for dance partners. How nice that Azuree is still around. I haven't used it since the 70s but I'm going to pick some up soon.

  • SHERRY12/07/2002

I wore pleasures when it first came out. It was a hit then, and it still is. I still like the price. There use to be a cream with it,I wish it would come back.

  • PETITCAJUN08/03/2002

Sue, I don't know where you can purchase this in England. But I do know that Cabochard by Parfums Gres smells very similar to it. And you will probably have better luck at finding it in England than you would an Estee Lauder fragrance. Good luck.

  • SUE TRIGG07/28/2002

can anyone tell me where to buy this puufume or purchase in england

  • SHARON TARAPATA07/22/2002

I have been wearing Azuree since 1975 and it will always be my favorite. It makes me feel so feminine and sexy. My husband always takes an extra whiff of me when he hugs me and says "you smell sooo good". The only problem I have is getting it in my area. I usually have to order online or go to a outlet store.

  • 2010WOMAN06/09/2002

I adore this fragrance. This is for the woman who is an individual. She doesn't follow the trends. She's not out buying Romance or Michael because she doesn't want to smell like all the other women walking around. This is VERY woody, and I can appreciate that it isn't for everyone but that's why I like it so much. At times it almost smells like pure vetiver to me, but the citrus notes make it more feminine. There is nothing superficial or trendy about this fragrance. If you want to smell light and airy don't buy this, but if you want to smell deep and passionate you might want to give this one a try.

  • D.BUNNY05/17/2002

SINCE I HAVE STARTED WEARING THIS FRAGANCE, I WON'T WEAR ANYTHING ELSE. IT'S THE BEST. I LOVE IT, BECAUSE IT LONG LASTING AND SEXY!!!

  • H.02/26/2002

The beginning of my passion for fragrance! Dries down to a beautiful fragrance. I can't put it into words.
