This has been my trademark perfume for about 20 years. Ultra feminine and yummy. I like it best in the fall and winter, but it's great any time. Every time I wear it, I always have three or four compliments and it's usually by men.

  • TATA10/26/2013

Wow this is a heavy sweet oriental! I love it but you will need just a few sprays otherwise it can be overwhelming. Instead of being sensual and sexy, like most oriental florals, this one is very strong and dominant. It's not soft at all but i love it anyway!

  • BONNIE BOYD08/27/2012

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WHILE LIVING WITH MY SON AND FAMIY IIN KADENA OKINAWA. I HAVE LOOKED AND LOOKED AND NEVER COULD FIND IT AGAIN. I LOVE IT. SO GLAD YHAT YOU HAVE IT/ THANKS BONNIE BOYD

i love cashmir but can not find it

  • STACEY08/03/2008

On everybodies recommendation i ordered it because u guys loved it so much and i am also a huge fan of alchimie

  • CASMIR FAN07/24/2008

I could just bathe in Casmir. It's soft and comforting but also exotic and sexy. It in NO WAY resembles Vanilla Fields. Casmir is rich and sophisticated, whereas Vanilla Fields smells like candy.

  • ERICA07/24/2008

This fragrance is so nice because it smells natural on the skin. Earthy, sweet, and exotic, it's perfect anytime.

  • ~BOHEMIANGIRL~07/12/2008

I love Casmir, and have been wearing it off and on for about 10 years. Yes, it's exotic, but it also has a 70s hippie vibe that feels very nostalgic to me (I think it's the patchouli/sandalwood combo). The vanilla drydown is perfect - not too sweet. One of my all time faves. Word of advice, though: I have gotten old bottles that smelled "off", so be careful where you buy it...the clearance rack is probably not the best place. ;-)

  • SEXY KITTEN04/13/2008

Casmir is not a scent or fragrance. The word to describe it is PERFUME. Very exotic and complex with the sandalwood, peach and jasmine notes. I do smell the vanilla as well but it's not a candy vanilla. More like an incense in that it's very rich. In some ways, vanilla fields is a watered down version of this scent (not as complex or rich) It also bears a resemblance to Mackie.

  • HOLLY03/13/2008

to vilify a lovely fragrance like casmir because it has base note like others originating in the 90's would be like condemning all fragrances that contain essential oils, after all they're "so B.C." As for some of the "newer" scents, to me, they smell like someone rolled in a rotten cucumber and melon patch, so "totally new millenium". gag! Perfume is about HOW it smells not WHEN it smelled. Give me something that smelled great in the 90's not something that reeks in 2008. Casmir is soft, sexy and very feminine, men love it and I love men loving it!

  • GEORGIA FROM GEORGIA02/02/2008

I love this fragrance. I can only find it online. Would be totally lost without it.

  • BARBARA W07/08/2007

Hi Mary Alice - greetings from a fellow New Englander - I live in NH. :) Yes, the problem might be with the freshness of your bottle. Perfumes have a shelf life of only a few years unless they're stored someplace cool with very little light (like a fridge). I've had bottles of Casmir that have smelled "off" before, and haven't lasted as long as some other bottles. It might be worth searching out the pure perfume (I've seen it online recently, just can't remember where). Also, sometimes when you think a perfume isn't there, others smell it, so be sure to ask other people! I've been told I smell good even when I can't detect my perfume anymore. Good luck!

  • JULIE04/26/2007

I told you all that I used to mix this with Fendi years ago, and it was delish, but I just bought it again today, and it's making me nauseous, big time. I don't know what it is about this scent, but for me, no good, will try to bring back. Wish I would love it like most of you.

  • TO SEXXYREDD04/15/2007

I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the perfumes! Yes, we sure do have similar tastes. Like many people on this site, I'm a perfume addict, and it's so great to "meet" other perfume lovers, share opinions, and sometimes agree to disagree! ;-) I'm looking forward to reading your posts, too, and please feel free to pass on any recommendations you have for me! Have fun xo Barbara

  • SHARON03/31/2007

I have been wearing this perfume since it was first advertised on a tear-off scent tester in Vanity Fair Magazine in the early 90s. Previously, I had worn Joy and Ombre Rose. I cannot wear many perfumes; but rubbed the tester on my wrists; it smelled great, lasted overnight, and I quickly became hooked. Had to order it from an 800 number. Both men and women love the scent ... as evidenced by the many compliments I get on it every week! I don't know what I would do if they stopped making it!!

  • JULIE03/30/2007

I could not wear this, on it's own, but mixed with Fendi, for me, was hot. Everytime I mixed those two, guys would come running over to me, it was weird. Alone, didn't quite have the same effect.

  • MARY ALICE03/16/2007

I found Casmir yesterday at a discount store. My box has a bar code, so I know it's not totally ancient!! This is the best perfume I've ever smelled. It is a warm, sweet, comforting, vanilla. If I get admitted to Heaven, it will surely smell like this. BUT the bottle of EDP I have lasts about 10 minutes on me. Our only department store is Macy's and they don't carry it. If I invest in a new bottle will it last longer? I am 56 with dry skin and I live in cold, cold Maine. I'm on chemo for leukemia and it has affected my skin's moisture retention even more. Shalimar EDP, Opium EDP, Boucheron EDP and Sublime EDP...all with similar in notes... DO LAST on me. But there's something about Casmir that is so special to my nose that I'd love for it to work on me too. I use a thin coat of vaseline on my pulse points on prior to the application of all my perfumes to increase staying power. What do you think? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried layering in the past and it has never seemed to make much difference, but am certainly not ruling it out. Does the freshness of the bottle impact the staying power or is that a myth? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • DONNA01/27/2007

I wore this in the early to mid 90's, then it disappeared from dept stores in Nebraska. I found it again in Paris in 1998 and bought several bottles to bring back to the US. I searched online but never found it. Just tried searching again, and I CAN'T believe it's still around. I'll probably wear this the rest of my life as long as you keep selling it. I used to have men follow me around in public places wearing this, and women I didn't know would always tell me how wonderful it smelled. My all time favorite

  • ELISABETH01/19/2007

This perfume was my favorite and most loved when I was in my twenties. I still adore it for its rich and opulent caracter and the gorgeous Vanilla note in it although I have turned to more distinct perfumes now- less "rich red velvet" smelling and dreamy - more capricious: J'adore/Dior or Coco Eau de Parfum/Chanel - divine!

  • ~ SEXXYREDD ~01/10/2007

I just wanted to say thank you for your posts it it truly helpful to me... we have some of the same scents so i went by your judgement and ordered that jungle l elephant...i have the hanae mori...my fav and i have the lolita ... a friend had the casmir and now i want that.... so keep posting it really helps ...and it hard to buy of the net and some of these fragrances arent in stores to sample...my other scents are angel, lightblue, issey, burberry tender touch and brit

  • REBECCA12/26/2006

Trouble by Boucheron-I would say Casmir is less vanillic, more fruity, but quite similar & ultra womanly-a wonderful sweet oriental with excellent staying power; It has more warmth to it than Casmir, because of the lack of fruity notes, so its perfect for cold climates. If you love sweet orientals like Shalimar, Angel, Rapture by Victoria's Secret, Tocade by Rochas, etc. than chances are you will also love Trouble. It may get you into trouble-the good kind!!!!!!!!

  • HARLEY-MAMA12/16/2006

This is a feel good perfume. Smells alot like Butterfly by Hanae Mori which I already have but, thats okay! I recommend this to all.

  • MARSHA12/13/2006

What a purely wonderful fragrance!!! I receive sooo many compliments & people asking me what is that distinctive, beautiful fragrance!!! I have used Casmir since it was first introduced! I have asthma, and must be VERY careful with fragrances. Thank God, this is NOT too strong; rather subtle! Your site is the only place I can purchase this, as in the Chicagoland area, the dept & specialty stores quit carrying it about 8 years ago. Searching on the internet brought YOU to ME & I am again sooo greatful. Plus, your prices can NOT be beat! Happy holidays everyone!!!!! :)

  • DAYLE 12/12/2006

I have worn Casmir since it hit the market, I hate they don't make it anymore. I have had so many men ask what I was wearing, they love it.

  • LISA10/11/2006

thanks for the description...it's always hard to know with those sight unseen purchases...m other favorites besides angel are: samsara, oscar, shalimar and spellbound...sounds like casmir will be right up my alley!

  • BLACKAMBERMOON10/07/2006

No, this isn't like Vanilla Fields at all - yes, it has vanilla in the base, but Casmir is richer and spicier with lots of patchouli. If you like Angel you will probably like Casmir. I love it.

  • LISA09/29/2006

is casmir really that similar to vanilla fields and vanilla musk by coty? I like vanilla musk and I love Angel as well.

  • BARBARA W09/22/2006

Hi Amy - perhaps you tried an old bottle of Casmir. Sometimes, when a perfume is old, it can seem very one-dimensional. Give Casmir another try sometime - it really is complex and wonderful.

  • PAT08/05/2006

This fragrance is my favorite sent. People always compliment me when I wwear this. It is a wonderful soft sent. I would recommend this to anyone. Two thumbs up to Casmire By: Chopard

  • FRAGRANTONE07/25/2006

Casmir is in my top three scents of all time. Casmir is rich, thick, golden and dramatically sexy; like your lover draping a clinging, flowing veil of liquid silk over your bare skin. If it works its' magic with your chemistry, you will never be able to forget it. To those who have hated Casmir; it might be that your chemistry does not agree with, or your nose cannot abide, heavy sweet orientals...I wish I could explain what I see in it...when it works for a woman, it WORKS. Someone mentioned, way back in these messages, that this seemed so "90's" vanilla to her, and outdated...I heartily disagree. To me, Casmir is MUCH closer kin to Guerlains' oriental masterpiece, Shalimar (circa 1925), than to the Vanilla Fields your friend bought at the Sav-A-Lot (circa 1993).

  • BARBARA W06/24/2006

It's interesting to me how many of the posts talk about how "vanilla" this scent is. Yes, there is vanilla in it, but to my nose, the spices and patchouli dominate, and I don't find it sweet at all. Interesting. Anyway, I always find myself coming back to Casmir time and again. It will always be a favorite.

  • AMY06/02/2006

I went out and tested this one today based on all of the reviews. I really like vanilla-y scents but to me this just smelled like vanilla fields. It doesn't smell bad, it just doesn't have that special something to it. Very one dimensional. I would not wear this but it wouldn't offend me if someone else did=).

  • CHICBOHOGAL05/16/2006

oooooh I love this one! It also smells great layered with the original Burberry perfume. Many compliments!

  • *BARBARA W*04/30/2006

I remember that day so well back in 1994...sitting at home by the fire, reading Vogue, came upon the ad for Casmir...intrigued by the photo of the beautiful bottle...sniffed the sample, and WOW. I just had to have it. And of course, when I got the real thing, I felt I had died and gone to perfume heaven. Thus began my love affair with orientals. I consider this my first "real" perfume as a grownup (I was 28 then). I was coming into my own as a woman and was looking for a perfume that reflected that - and voila! I've since found other perfumes that I adore, but you never forget your first love...

  • OPINION OF A MAN04/12/2006

I could not believe when my lady friend introduced me to this treasure! Rich, exotic and sensuous. Almost too complex to describe. It has a distinction of not being too floral. Just pure liquid lusciousness!

  • JUDI W*03/24/2006

It definitely smells different then most of the fragrances out there...BUT to my senses, not so good. Tried to like it, but falls short, so I sent it to my friend, she didn't like it either. The only reason it's okay is it's NOT FRUITY OR FLOWERY!!!!! So sick of smelling most of the perfumes out there that are. Not all women like that, so for that reason it's okay, but for me, it's not great.

  • GREEKGIRL03/22/2006

This is such a dreamy scent just love its sweet vanilla-honey scent could sit and smell it all day long- plus gets many compliments and lasts all day, well done Chopard.

  • PERFUME-AHOLIC03/17/2006

I ordered this fragrance solely due to the reviews from this site. While I did not immediately appreciate this fine liquid gold, its intoxicating and alluring aroma cannot fail to inevitably arouse the senses. The wearer is invited to capture and enclose oneself in the mystery of its finery. I visualize myself encapsulated by this scent, transported to a far eastern destination while warm sensual breezes caress my face against the backdrop of an evanescent orient sunset. If you enjoy Ghost Deep Night, Burberry London (the original) or Burberry Brit, you would most certainly find this a welcome addition to your collection.

  • HÉLÈNE02/27/2006

Chopard is one of my favorite fragrance houses and Casmir is one of my all time favorite fragrances because it's very sexy but also soothing when you have a long day. It just puts me in this relaxed mood and makes me feel like everything will go smoothly when I wear it. Super longlasting on me and always get compliments. Other Chopard fragrances are really amazing too like Madness and Mira Bai but this is my baby.

  • TANINHA BRAZIL02/26/2006

to all you lovely perfume lovers out there ... i give you maya angelou ... "... pretty women wonder where my secret lies ... it's in the fire of my eyes... i'm a woman phenomenally, phenomenal woman that's me !...men themselves have wondered what they see in me ' they try so much but they can't touch my inner mystery !!! i say ," it's in the way i choose my perfume ...the mood it puts me in ... and the way that i behave or misbehave ... " do you not feel this way ??? please let me know . kisses from brazil , tania. ps : i am 35 and have loved casmir for about 14yrs... it was "me "back then , super orientally sweet young woman dreaming of love as it is now , having found love and a husband that can't stop smelling my neck , my back ...

  • CLEOPATRA'S SECRET01/13/2006

Casmir is excellent and that is what I'm rating it. I don't really find it cloying, although I can understand what the previous poster means. If the humidity in the summer is too high then this is a very hard fragrance to pull of and you're better of saving it for the fall or winter. But for me, I just love it in the summer and hardly ever wear it in the winter months at all. Still this is one of my favorites and there are many, but at times it can be a bit sweet and I wonder what people around me are thinking - for example when I'm in the elevator with them. I really don't want to be one of 'THOSE' people who would 'stink up' the elevator and be ignorant about it. But I just love this fragrance too much to give it up. My family really loves it too, and believe me they can be very open and descriptive about it when they don’t like something – as with Deci Dela – I get that it smells like the European public toilets and that is the end of the story for that fragrance. But with Casmir they always compliment so I guess that it’s good then.

  • MATUSHA01/12/2006

Beauty, mysticism, intrigue and pace, collected in a single and extraordinary perfume. Casmir draws its inspiration in infinite mysteries of the East, and of the sensuality of the femme fatale. An opulent perfume, rich person and heat. Note head: mango, coconut, bergamot, Note heart: jasmine, géranium, lily of the valley, Basic note: vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, musk

  • ANDREA01/10/2006

Casmir is a good perfume. It has the components I like, BUT it can become cloying for me. Find this rather unfortunate. I surely need to apply only a tiny bit in order to not make myself sick from the cloying effect. A bit less sweet and Casmir would be perfect for me. The direction of scent is good, just something too sweet or cloying. This also means that it works better in winter. The staying power is great.

  • CANDIDA12/21/2005

This is a great unusual scent. It vaguely reminds me of Armani for Men which is a good thing because I really like Armani. When you first put it on it's sweet almost like Safari by Ralph Lauren. Then that fades away and your left with a musky, incense-like spicy scent that reminds me of my Celestial Spice incense by Triloka. It's really a unique scent that you're not going to be smelling on everyone around you. T he best part I find is that you can smell it on yourself for hours but it's not overwhelming.

  • DESDEKID12/21/2005

i would picture a very love experienced woman in her 40's to wear this. it is a heady, oriental, sweet aroma, but with the wright attitude (and age!) you could pull it off just great!

  • JR12/17/2005

I wore this for a while in the '90s, and suddenly found it so cloyingly sweet as to be unbearable. I gave it away to a friend, who had a similar reaction. The sweet food notes were overpowering and became an undifferentiated, sickening aura. There are so many glorious spicy orientals to choose from; why use this misguided concoction?

  • ALLYSON 11/12/2005

So many people say this is not being made anymore... I have heard this for the last 10 years, yet I can still buy it on-line. So if Chopard is not making it - who is? Did some other company buy the rights to it? Or am I just buying old perfume...

  • LIZA11/09/2005

someone bought this perfume for me and i guess it was in good faith. I tried it and i tolerated it for all but 4 days and i gave it away. It was nauseating and reminded me of moth balls. Not very pleasant AT ALL!!!!

  • LEE ANN10/25/2005

Oh man, this is great... I love this one and have worn it a long time. I get lots of compliments when I wear it. I love this type of scents. I will keep buying it til I can't buy it no more!

  • KATHY10/24/2005

Between the Casmir and the Arpege I recieved today, I AM SICKER THAN A DOG!

  • KATHY10/24/2005

The description for this one mentions NOTHING about vanilla. It dries down to a VERY suary vanilla scent. If I would of wanted that type, I would of ordered Vanilla Fields. Not my scent at all. There is nothing exotic about vanilla, need to change the descrip.

  • MAYA09/04/2005

This is another fantastic discovery! Or should I say re-discovery. I tired it on mnay years ago and found it too sweet, maybe just too much. Oh but now I love it! It's warm and loving... By boyfriend loves it, he detects a chocolate smell in it, which he loves. To me it smells of the beach slightly and my sister just adores it. I will be wearing this to the last drop with great pleasure :)

  • DAISY07/13/2005

This perfume is my signature scent, Debra if the church ladies are bowling you over, then its because they are the ones who dont know how to APPLY perfume- don't blame the Casmir. This now difficult to come by oriental fragrance with strongest notes of Vanilla, jasmine and llang-llang blended gently with citrus fruits to create a sexy, exotic, get-me-noticed signature scent. The low availability of this fragrance makes it a perfect one to wear and not be copied. Stock up on ebay!

  • SONDRA05/31/2005

with my body chemistry this smells exactly like Vanilla Fields on me. That's ok but after reading messages here i was soooo excited about this perfume.

  • RENEE05/10/2005

I first discovered this in a "scratch and sniff" sample while geting my hair done. I immediately had to purchase it after my color!! This is the only fragrence men have actually stopped me in my tracks and tell me how wonderful and sexy I smell. Why would I try anything else!!!

  • BARBARA W05/06/2005

I've been wearing Casmir for about 10 years now. It used to be my favorite, but I've found other perfumes I love just as much (they are all orientals): Butterfly by Hanae Mori, Jungle by Kenzo (elephant), Lolita Lempicka, and Fendi. Casmir is still wonderful, too!! Happy sniffing. :)

  • ISHTAR04/05/2005

This is my favourite all time scent. Better than Tocade, better than Gucci's Accenti, better than Poeme, better even than Nina Ricci's Spicy Delight. All I can say is it sucks being Australian - can't find this one anyone and have had to resort to local .com perfume companies searching for me. I didn't even know there were variations on Casmir available...can anyone tell me how the Blue, White and Pink compare?

  • JULIE03/07/2005

Don't ask me why, but I used to mix it with Fendi. People used to go wild for the scent of the two together. This one guy followed me out of the store and said "you smell so delicious I can't stand it, what is it?" He kind of scared me a little bit but I told him. That wasn't the only time that happened. I wore Casmir alone once into Blockbuster and this couple made the most horrendous face like they just smelled something rotten. They went "whew", didn't wear it after that. Alone not so good, mixed okay...

  • ALESSANDRA03/01/2005

Been wearing for 10 years. Tried other perfumes but none is even remotely close to being as good. Love it!

  • TUESDAYS MOM02/25/2005

Where have I been? I just discovered this scent! I would call it the most innovative romantic sexy perfume I've ever smelled. My all time favorite

  • BEBE02/22/2005

so soft on my skin. a lovely addition to my attire. exotic memories. wow delicus. unique. very nice.

  • ZELJKA02/18/2005

I wanted to buy a new bottle of my favorite perfume Marella Ferrera, but I couldn't find it anywhere and than I tried Cashmir (funny I never tried it before) and it's almoust the same, beautiful!

  • GEEGEE02/10/2005

Oriental/vanilla scent. I don't smell peaches and melon like it's described. Very soft but not long lasting.

  • SHARRIE02/03/2005

a beautiful and fine perfume. sweet memories. brings back my youth. service fullfilled. nice.

  • SHARRIE01/30/2005

any perfume with patchulli is great.. awesomre. wow. in the wild. in the raw. fills hours with lovel.y fragrance. wonderful.

  • MARY01/02/2005

I fell in love with this when I first smelled it. It is wonderfully vanillic, sweet and smooth. It is also rather strong. You dont need to use much.

  • MEA12/16/2004

Worn since its creation, the best ever. but there is no patchouli in this perfume, its Vanilla.

  • MERRIESUN11/21/2004

I've been stopped on the street, asked by men, and even women what I'm wearing. My daughter calls it my "cotton candy" smell. Great!

  • SHERIE11/20/2004

When I find something as great as casmir I stick with it. We've been together now for 10 years! Everyone I know now knows this is my signature scent. Does anyone know where you can get samples of it in the Blue,White & Pink, here in NC they don't have any?

  • KAREN S.11/06/2004

This is pleasantly sensual but not as obsessively sniffable as Gem ( discontinued?) which also has nice sexy chocolate mid-notes

  • FANNY10/28/2004

I think Casmir is the best parfume people can get...It's so refined, sensual and seducting...simply the best! My boyfriend loves it!

  • PATTI09/25/2004

To answer a question from another Patti, yes there is another sent I have been wearing when I take a short break from my wonderful Casmir; that would be Hanae Mori Butterfly. You may not like it, but it has the fruity and woodsy undertones as Casmir. Understand that they are very much different, but you may enjoy it too. Not all perfumes smell the same on everyone... Whenever I wear Casmir people, men and woman put their nose in the air sniffing and say they smell something really good like cookies or something, they take a whiff of me and they have their answer. I say wear it and enjoy it and the compliments you receive.

  • MARSHALLOFROHAN09/21/2004

A Special friend of mine wears this intoxicating scent. She even interlaces this scent in her long, dark brown hair, each time she waves her hair, I am captivated by ethreal beauty and the essence of Casmir permeating the very presence of her.

  • ELIZABETH09/16/2004

Finally smelled Casmir and it's dreadful! Harsh and unpleasant and not at all like the milder Burberry London. At least on me - I'm sure it's divine on some others.

  • ELIZABETH09/07/2004

Has anyone noticed Casmir and Burberry London have similar notes? I haven't smelled Casmir - can any of you tell me if the two smell alike?

  • GAYLE08/19/2004

The best! I have allergies and this one does not bother them. Clean, spicy scent. Not too loud...just right. I love it!!!!!!!

  • SUZANNAROMA04/02/2004

Thought this one would be perfect for me, as I love Orientals and vanilla, but for some reason on me Casmir is just flat and boring. It smells like weak vanilla and nothing else. Not offensive, just very uninteresting. Luckily I just bought the mini.......

  • JOYCE04/02/2004

    Absolutely wonderful

  • AMANDA03/07/2004

I love it since I bought it 7 yrs ago. It smell so tasty that I feel as though I am edible!! Deliciously warm fruity sensation surrounds me. However, I have a feeling that it doesn't last long on my skin which is only snag about this perfume.

  • MOLLIE03/03/2004

My husband loves this, which itself is a miracle, since he doesn't seem to comment on any of the perfumes I wear. This is elegant, rich, and exotic. It is aromatherapy for me. Now that we are going into spring, I'm going to wear Intrusion for awhile, but I think Casmir will be my signature fragrance. Give it a try. I've read the postings on this site for a long time, just for fun, and Casmir is my first purchase here. It was at my door in four days, and again, it drives my husband wild! I'm so glad I ordered it.

  • ~TIGER02/07/2004

has an excellent fragrance and dries down to a wonderfully sensual scent - BUT - the scent fades away on me far more quickly than I would like. I use the perfume on pulsepoints, with a spritz of the EDT on my clothes, so it *should* stay all day. Depressing - because this smells so wonderful I want to smell it all day long - and I cannot !

  • NANCE02/05/2004

Have loved this since it's release

  • KEAHI01/22/2004

This has got to be one of my all-time favorites! I'm convinced if you do not like this perfume it must not work with your body chemistry, or you may not like orientals in general. I hate patchouli scents (generally) but I can't even pick it up in this fragrance when I wear it. I think that is the sign of a quality fragrance--when all of the notes mingle to create the perfect harmony, and no one note dominates the others. If I could choose only one fragrance (which would be nearly impossible for me, I like so many) it would have to be Casmir. I hope they continue to make this for a long time.

  • BB01/22/2004

Casmir is all that and then some for most. Yes, it’s absolutely wonderful, captivating, sweet-scented, unique, and invigorating. My body mask is dazzling – I have had men stop me on the street asking for the name of my fragrant. I have read the posted comments of being ill or given headaches when the smell of Casmir is near, that’s sad, however one’s chemical make-up does dictated what fragrant they can wear. Take me for instance, I can’t wear anything made with flowers. My chemistry just doesn’t jive. But I don’t nock those fragrant because they do smell nice on other people. The best to all who can benefit from wearing Casmir. It is truly a signature finishing.

  • LORI01/04/2004

This is the ONLY perfume I have that my boyfriend likes. I always get comments when I wear it. Seems guys like it more than woman, but I happen to LOVE it

  • LINDA01/01/2004

Realize perfumes smell different on all of us, but I wear Casmir exclusively. Am told "you smell sooooo good." On me (Italian decent) it is heavenly.

  • LI12/11/2003

I fell in love with this unique fragrance when it was introduced over a decade ago. It is beautiful, alluring, sexy and my "signature scent." I wear no other perfume. I have lost count of how many friends, coworkers, and total strangers (male and female) have complimented me on this fragrance. When they stopped selling it in the United States I went into a total panic!!!! I am so relieved that I can still buy it on the Internet. It's just a gorgeous fragrance and Chopard had better not stop making it or I'll just have to kidnap their scientist to recreate the formula.

  • BARBARA12/09/2003

Casmir is a sultry, sexy, exotic scent that puts me in the mood for love. Not a daytime scent, though. For day, try Lolita Lempicka - another yummy one.

  • ISABELLE11/30/2003

I've been searching for a special scent, and I've finally found it! Casmir is elegant, warm, and VERY SEXY. This beautiful fragance is quite complex; but on me, the dominant note is a lush, rich vanilla. CASMIR IS FABULOUS!!

  • EMA11/02/2003

This is the best scent I have ever worn! I get compliments for it all the time from both men and women. What else is there to say, it´s great!

  • NATASHA09/23/2003

so sweet, so strong, so sexy...

  • KAREN09/16/2003

WONDERFUL...Absoulutely wonderful. This is for the true perfume lovers...not your own sweat lovers.

  • MINNIE MOUSE09/07/2003

This smelled beautiful from the bottle, so I gave it a squirt. The top notes were a yummy fruity-amber smell with very little vanilla. This is what surprised me. I LOVE vanilla based fragrances and after reading the numerous reviews, I had to try it. Anyways, after I applied some to my wrist, something happened a few minutes later. The fruity sweetness began morphing into this vulgar patchouli (and I HATE patchouli as I expressed with Angel). Pretty soon, that was all I could smell. It wasn't powdery or Vanilla, just harsh. Just goes to show how differently perfume reacts with different skin as patchouli seems to magnify times 50 on mine! Advice: Try before you buy this one.

  • MARY K.08/12/2003

This is a very warm, inviting, sensual fragrance!! It is true, men just can't get enough of it, and neither can I! This has become one of my favorites, along with Herve Leger, C'est la Vie, Sui Love, Ghost Deep Night and Ghost!

  • KIMI08/11/2003

I just love this scent and I hope you continue to carry it.

  • MARIE07/11/2003

Beautiful scent! Very warm and sweet. A beautiful vanilla base not sickeningly sweet.

  • MARTIE06/12/2003

I love this one. It has a rich vanilla scent and is very warm. But it has gotten to where I prefer only to wear it in the cooler months like fall and winter. It is much more of a winter fragrance.

  • KAT 05/31/2003

Casmir by Chopard for Women Year Introduced: 1994 Scent Type: Oriental - Fruity Top Notes: Peach, mango, coconut, bergamot, hesperides Heart Notes: Jasmine, lily of the valley, geranium Base Notes: Vanilla, amber, sandalwood, patchouli, castereum, musk "From Parfums Chopard comes Casmir, a fruity Oriental fragrance with gourmet ingredients that sound like a feast on a tropical Asian isle. The initial impression of succulent fruits evolves into a floral treasure trove. The dominant base note is vanilla, while sandalwood and musk complete the Eastern influence. Soft and smooth as cashmere. The reach of India envelops Casmir, from the exotic fragrance to the Taj Mahal-inspired bottle, tucked amidst packaging of wine red and black. Casmir is an enchanting fragrance to pack for your next trek through Kashmir and Tibet...or simply close your eyes and let your daydreams whisk you away on the aroma of Casmir. "

  • RENEE05/27/2003

this perfume makes me feel extremely sexy

  • DEBBIE05/25/2003

I stumbled upon this fragrance, when another scent I was wearing became discontinued. I searched and searched, then I found CASMIR!!!! I have NEVER had so many compliments in my life. Both women and men compliment me on my perfume. I will simply die, it this scent ever becomes discontinued!!!

  • ANN05/22/2003

Yesterday morning I stepped into the office and said: "It smells like vanilla pudding in here!" My co-worker told me it was her perfume, Casmir. We laughed about it a bit, about how she smelled so eatable, but after a while it gave me a terrible headache. Half an hour later it made me gag. I was so nausiated I had to leave the room. This scent is so strong, so heavy, so overpowering. And the vanilla scent is sickening sweet. I was so glad that she decided not to wear it anymore today!!!

  • REZINGURL04/28/2003

I must say that I first stumbled upon this scent through a friend that had bought the oil form from a muslim man on the streets of manhattan. She didn't like it on her so she gave it to me and Boy was I glad! Loved it so much that the oil was gone in less than a month and was anticipating going shopping to buy the Real Deal. This is my signature fragrence and get nothing but compliments from men and women constantly Even had a Taxi driver say to me you smell delicious. I I ahve to say that the people I read on here that didn't like it, All's I have to say is Must be your body chemistry. Erotic,Exotic and sensual a Definate Seductress Scent.

  • NICO04/18/2003

In general I don't wear spicy perfumes at all, but I like them on other women, if they don't exaggerate. But this reminds me of coming out of the kitchen after cooking a tart full of vanilla and jam. I'm sure that professional cooks have a shower after it.

  • ELLIZA04/17/2003

i'm a bit disappointed by pe's official review in that it doesn't mention the vanilla in this. the strongest note is a lush, thick vanilla, with some odd herbal/oriental undertones. i didn't hate it, like some, found it fairly pleasant, but it didn't send me to heaven.

  • PATTI04/17/2003

I have one question for those of you that feel the way I do about Casmir. I absolutly love this sent and was wondering if any other Name makes as good or comparable sent as our friends at Chopard?

  • FRAGRANCE FANATIC04/15/2003

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THEY STOPED MAKING THIS FRAGRANCE? I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT IN ANY STORES I LIVE IN MICHIGAN CAN ANYONE HELP? ALSO, DO YOU THINK IT SMELLS LIKE OBESSION? THANK YOU!!!!

  • MARYMAGS04/04/2003

I almost had an orgasm the first time I wore it.

  • DARLENE03/23/2003

I began using Casmir about six years ago. To this day where every I go, I get the same response what is she wearing. To this day it is still my little secret. :).

  • SIDNEY03/11/2003

Cloying, sweet, strong and a head ache inducer. The vanilla base in this fragrance smells synthetic and rancid, I can also smell burnt plastic in this.

  • ARLENE02/23/2003

Try Sublime by Jean Patou. It's beyond fabulous and not quite as aggressive as Casmir.

  • DEBRA B02/10/2003

Two women who go to my church wear this scent every week and it just about knocks people over. If you like Casmir, please have mercy on your neighbors and try Alchimie by Rochas -- similar notes, but kinder and gentler :>)

  • KIMJI02/06/2003

RECEIVED 8 YEARS AGO FOR BIRTHDAY PRESENT AND BEEN IN LOVE EVER SINCE.

  • DEVIN01/29/2003

Like all of Chopard's perfumes, this is very unique. I personally love it, although I can see why someone would not. It's very sweet, just shy of sickening, especially when first applied. The drydown becomes more fruity. In my opinion, it's very exotic and bold and should probably be worn by an exotic and bold woman. It certainly isn't cheap, Chopard doesn't make cheap products. Enigmatic and dramatic.

  • JENNA01/22/2003

As a constantly changing trendy little 27-year old, this scent has been my favorite for an unwavering 6 years! It's a musky sweet scent everyone is always asking about.

  • BUNNY01/13/2003

Delightfully light scent. Very fresh and not over powering. Everyone, absolutely everyone who smells it on me, raves about it!!!! It is by far, the best fragrance I have ever used.

  • LISA LEPARD12/27/2002

This has to be the best fragrance ever! My boyfriend absolutely loves this scent. I get nonstop compliments and for those of you who rate this poorly.... You have no love in your life. It is a sexy fragrance..... It draws men in... It is powerful and beautiful.... So worth the purchase...

  • D12/18/2002

I thought I would like Casmir because I like sweet scents, but all I could smell was wood -it reminds me of the smell of a big plank of wood. Sorry. If you like woody scents then you'll like Casmir.

  • LOLLY12/15/2002

For me, I give this scent a 5 star rating. I have always loved the patchouli scent, and was happy to find out that it is in Casmir. I've had more compliments while wearing this perfume, must be MY body chemistry. I found it on a trip to Las Vegas, then couldn't find it in my hometown. Glad I started searching the web and found you.

  • CHERIEMAC11/20/2002

My 9-year-old daughter took a sniff from a store test bottle. She closed her eyes and sighed,"yum, Mom, this smells just like you"! (I've worn it every day for years)

  • PRINCESS11/14/2002

Wonderful sexy perfume! Everyone asks me what it is, and wants to buy it for themselves when they find out.

  • HOOLAGIRL10/23/2002

Can't get enough of this one!! I've had the hardest time finding this anywhere! Now that I have....I am one happy girl!

  • LUCRETHIA10/10/2002

I have been wearing Casmir for years and now it is hard to find. Pefume Emporium; you have restored my faith in mankind!!

  • TAMSAL1309/23/2002

I have never worn this perfume that I haven't gotten compliments.

  • STEPHANIE09/19/2002

I agree, this is VERY sweet. I normally like sweet perfumes (well as long as not too sweet) but this is just TOO much! I would not wear it.

  • INES09/18/2002

I feel sick when I smell that. There is something so cheap in it, almost vulgar. Sorry to say that, but when I smell it on someone this is my impression.

  • KAYE09/18/2002

This fragrance does not get the recognition that it deserves! It was given to me as a gift years ago and I was saddened that I have not been able to find it until now. This scent is nothing less then wonderful. When wearing it, the comments would pour in like a leaking faucet. True, it depends on your natural body odor, but for anyone to say that this scent is less then 5 stars is not someone that I would want to be perfume shopping for me. I vowed to never give up my search for this fragrance as it has left a lifelong impression on me.

  • SHEILA ANN ANDERSON09/18/2002

amazing-have been using for years-very sensuous, exotic, like an erotic dream, but you never have to wake up. use sparingly though.

  • KRIS THOMPSON09/17/2002

I absolutely LOVE this fragrance!! It is not to strong, which is the problem with most fragrances! It's my favorite!!!

  • ALLISON08/28/2002

I didn't smell any vanilla in it. I happen to like vanilla. You can laugh if you like, but most guys like vanilla too. This doesn't smell like vanilla, it smells like sweat socks.

  • 2010WOMAN08/24/2002

"Who wants to smell like everyone else anyway?" Obviously you do. You seem to contradict yourself. I agree fully with you that fragrances should not be trendy like some fashinons so why you defend this trendy scent is beyond me. This is like Green Tea it's just a trend in the perfume industry. It was created to bite the dust and it certainly won't be around forever like the Chanel or Boucheron fragrances. I just think the vanilla based scents smell so cheap and trendy but if thats what you want than more power to you. I just want you to understand that these vanilla scents make alot of people sick to their stomachs and want to throw up. Perhaps you have had the opposite reaction to this scent and thats fine with me.

  • SN08/22/2002

Casmir is such a mysterious and warm scent. The drydown is a perfect blend of vanilla and patchouli. This is a one-squirt-only type of fragrance...as it can cause an initial "heady" feeling.

  • TRESSA08/22/2002

I am so pleased that I can finally buy this perfume on the Net, it is absolutely the most delicious sexy smell ever!! It depends on your body chemistry, how it will work for you, but for those of us that can wear it, it is fab!!

  • MADELINE08/22/2002

To the "2010 Woman" posting. Fragrances should not be like clothing fashions. Something either smells good to you or it doesn't. Should one quit wearing vanilla based fragrances simply because it's out of style and switch to fruitier ones even though they don't like them? Who wants to smell like everyone else anyway?

  • SHERA08/14/2002

I love this perfume, according to some of the bad reviews, it must smell different depending on your body. As for headaches, I suffer dearly from them, Casmir does not give me one, it is the few that don't. All I can say is you have to try it for your self. My husband loves it and buys it for me all the time!

  • LARISA08/02/2002

I loved wearing this product! I never recieved more complements rhen when i wore it, but people who tryed to wear it after me, couldn't pull it of. It has to do with you natural scent

  • JUSTINE07/26/2002

Was this perfume made as some kind of joke? Please tell me this is officially discontinued. It is truly disgusting.

  • CHRISTINE M.07/15/2002

Disgusting, horrible scent. This is not an exotic scent, this is a scent out of your nightmares. It literally made me ill.

  • WENDY07/10/2002

This is the ultimate perfume. I wore other fragrances before and continue to wear others occassionally, but this is the only one that always, always gets wonderful comments. I love it when someone says...you smell so good. It's my all time favorite, and my husbands as well.

  • BETHANY07/05/2002

Went on strong, dried down to something awful, nauseating, not pleasant to smell. I realize it is all about body chemistry-but please try this one out first. To me:It was overpowering, actually gave me a headache. As for the year a perfume came out-Does anyone really care? Why?

  • NONI05/22/2002

this one takes the cake.plus if i ate something i kept feeling like i was going to throw up every time.i guess i just struck out with this one.yeah just what is exotic about vanilla.i feel like i've been misled by the name. what a let down.

  • 2010WOMAN05/19/2002

I just sprayed some Casmir on today. I had read some of the amazing comments in this forum so I wanted to give it a try. I must say that I'm very disappointed. This scent reminds me of the 90's, which was a time period when all those vanilla based perfumes were so popular. I guess if you want to smell dated and behind the times this would be the perfume for you. No matter what the year is, I always hate the trendy scents, like Casmir. I just don't understand why anybody would want to smell so 90's. Smelling this stuff transports me back to the 90's when every other woman walking through the mall or office had on a vanilla based scent. This scent is just so dated. Vanilla might be comforting to smell but it simply has no mystery to it.

  • JM05/16/2002

What a different and sensuous perfume! Very heady..it may take a little getting used to. For last message: When not wearing casmir, I wear 24 Fauborg, Michael Kors, Lolita Lempicka, Tocca Touch, Rive Gauche and Venezia !

  • RUTH05/14/2002

Just curious. What other fragrances do Casmir lovers wear?

  • IVON05/02/2002

Chopard by Casmir is a sensual, sexy smelling perfume. I am very addicted to it.

  • LIESL03/07/2002

Read all the previous posts and to those who don't like this, you must remember that people's body chemistry is different! I LOVE this fragrance. Sexy, luxurious, and very unique. I, too, get tons of compliments and men just love it!

  • LORRAINE02/12/2002

The fragrance of casmir perfume is absolutly a wonderful olfactory.

  • MICHELLE02/03/2002

My experience with casmir has been nothing but mmmm, mmmm, mmmmmm! I get stopped by so many men and I get nothing but compliments. My husband calls it " SEX IN A BOTTLE".

  • TORI02/03/2002

Casmir is the most wonderful fragrance I've ever worn! I get more compliments on it than anyting I've ever worn, and it attracts men like magic!

  • KIM01/28/2002

I used to love Casmir but couldn't find it. My husband bought me hanae Mori instead on a suggestion from the saleswoman at Nordstoms. It is much lighter than Casmir with only subtle hints of vanilla. I finally got Casmir but rarely wear it.

  • SANDY01/25/2002

A lovely fragrance for summer - people always ask "what perfume are you wearing?"

  • MIRANDA01/11/2002

Casmir is a lovely scent if you like vanilla. It is cloying if you use a heavy hand. It is beautiful with some people's chemistry...avoid this one if you don't like sweet fragrances with vanilla notes. I own this one, but I have to be *in the mood* to wear it.

  • MICHELLE01/03/2002

There is absolutely too much vanilla and it is too sweet. The fragrance is overpowering and does not dry down to a nice scent.

  • 30,DECEMBER12/30/2001

When I catch this scent on someone it is horrible to me... Disgusting and heavy.

  • AIMEE12/19/2001

Too sweet: like a vanilla cream soda.

  • BARBE12/03/2001

This is my signature scent. It is soothing, sexy and makes me feel very confident. Try it, you might like it.

  • PATTI11/30/2001

This is by far the best perfume I think I've ever put on my body. I have gotten so many compliments on this sent. I would highly recomend this perfume to anyone,I feel so special when I wear it. Enjoy!!!!

  • JOLENE11/06/2001

I like Casmir, although it's not in my top ten favorite Oriental fragrances. A friend of mine used to wear it all the time, but she wore way too much of it. Everywhere she went, her thick cloud of Casmir followed her. It made me sick, so go lightly with this one. It's strong, and smells best when worn in moderation.

  • RAS11/01/2001

This is one of my favorites. I would describe it as beautiful -but not sexy - for the others who think there's a difference

  • LISA10/20/2001

My all time favorite and sexiest perfume. It is sensuality at its core.

  • KIM09/24/2001

I have never met anybody who doesn't compliment me on this perfume, it's totally amazing. And I was saddened that I, too, could no longer find it in stores, not ANY major stores. Until I found it on the Internet, I actually mourned the loss of my very favorite fragrance of ALL TIME! Thank you Chopard for making me feel so much like a woman-this fragrance just exudes passion, mystery, sexy!

  • VIKI09/18/2001

It's overpowering and it gave me a headache.

  • ETIENNE08/22/2001

    THIS IS MY SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE.

  • CLAIRE08/17/2001

    Men love this one!

  • L08/17/2001

    What DO you like?

  • DONNA08/09/2001

I received this as a gift from my husband five years ago...I absolutely love this fragrance. Every time I wear it-I am complimented and asked the name. I have tried everywhere to replace it to no avail-including Saks on 5th Ave. I am very happy to have found it available on the internet. I hope that is never discontinued by Chopard parfums.

  • NURSE PEBBLES08/04/2001

Very strong...overpowering..smells like very cheap perfume...agree with previous poster..."NASTY"

  • KIMBERLY 07/30/2001

    NASTY! just plain NASTY

  • RIKKI07/26/2001

I have been wearing Casmir since 1991. It is a warm, deep, exotic fragrance that always evokes compliments! For those who want to smell like a woman and not a girl...this is it!

  • JOAN07/24/2001

casmir is fabulous -i have never been complimented on a fragrance til this one --men stop and ask what it is .....mmmmmmm

  • KARINA07/22/2001

Don't care for this one. It has that same cloying smell that Angel, for example, has-a strong element of peach and vanilla, and it actually reminds me of fruit that's been sitting around too long!

  • MICHELLE07/12/2001

While I enjoy the scent of this fragrance, it gives me a huge headache. I try wearing it because it is such a luxurious perfume but to no avail. So I suggest that you try it before you buy it because it is quite strong.

  • SONDRA07/10/2001

This is my very favorite and hard to come by. I am always complimented when I am wearing it and it works any time of the day. It is delicate with that wonderful vanilla and never over done.

  • DENISE06/26/2001

THIS IS A WONDERFUL FRAGRANCE ...RICH AND SPICEY...BEST WORN AT NIGHT...GO EASY WITH THIS ONE A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY...MEN ENJOY THIS ONE

  • JEWEL BUG05/02/2001

Casmir is absolutely wonderful. It is everything a really good scent should be...captivating, enduring, distinctive, heady. You KNOW when someone is wearing it. The body veil is outstanding -- leaves your skin with an awesome sheen. It is a classic, and hard to come by! A good friend of mine in San Diego says that every time she smells Casmir on someone, she instantly thinks of me! 3000 miles away from each other, and an aroma brings me back to her, for even just a moment. How great is that?!!! Try it -- it will be one of your staple scents. Maybe your signature.

  • MOOSEYPOOH04/20/2001

This fragrance used to be available in our local malls but for some reason they quit carrying it. I thought I would go berserk if I did not find it again. Every where I go people want to know what I am wearing and tell me how good I smell. I have bought many name brand perfumes over the years but this has got to be MY personal favorite. I have not met anyone yet that doesn't like the smell of it... and if you do...send it on to me...!!!

  • Does anyone know where I can find this dusting powder? Thanks.

  • LISA04/10/2001

I always am complimented when I wear Casmir.

  • ANASTASIA03/19/2001

This is a truly sensual fragrance. Men will drop at your feet. It stays with you for a very long time, one never forgets you.

  • THERESA SUTTON12/27/2000

This is truly a special frangrance. Nice oriental, with peach, lavander, moss, and vanilla notes.
