Love this perfume and spend ages trying to find good deals on it - every few years I go back again to this once I smell it again!

This is me, I have 2 nearly empty bottles, and then I have to buy a new one

I have never found a perfume I like more, I like the smell of jasmine, lily of the valley, vanilla, & bergamot on there own so its just great that they mixed them all together and made THE BEST PERFUME EVER

thinking this was the guy's version, let alone i like it.could be used by a guy. nice light floral/creamy scent. great for summer and i will continue to wear it.

where is it? you cannot buy it in the US anymore....why? even on this site, they show the famous white bottle, but only sell the lotion....I have been very upset about this...

I use sun perfume for about 10 years and lou lou even longer. they are very similar, i would say lou lou is the elegant version of sun for the evening

Ciara is soooooooooooo nasty! Smells like an 80's harlot! I think of Alexis from "Dynasty" when u say Ciara. Sun is so fresh and powdery. I've never owned it but have smelled it and thought about buying it. I really like the fresh innocence of it.

I'm an addict when it comes to perfumes. To smell beautiful fragrances makes me happy. It's better than chocolate ;-)). Hi Maya, my suggestion: Stay true to your beloved SUN by Jil Sander, because Ciara smells not similar IMO. SUN smells modern-fruity(!)-floral-sweet. I bought CIARA by Revlon (the 100 strength concentrated cologne spray version) and it reminds me a tiny bit of Oscar de la Renta classic and Bal à Versailles. Not so vanilla-sweet, cozy or inviting like I expected it. Here a subscription for SUN: Top Note: FRESH - Bergamot, Lemon, Green Note, Fruit Note, Orange Blossom. Middle Note: FLORAL - Lily of the Valley, Orris, Ylang-Ylang, Heliotrope, Carnation, Rose. Base Note (drydown): SWEET/AMBERY- Sandal, Vanilla, Tonka, Cedar, Musk, Amber, Styrax and Benzoin. You asked also what's the difference between Sun and Loulou. Hard to describe: Loulou by Cacharel is an extreme, exotic/white-floral. Very vanilla-musky-bittersweet (marzipan) and loud. Not easy to wear or to love. Try before you buy. Happy sniffing!

Jil Sander makes wonderful perfumes. Sun is lovely and I also like No. 4 and Sensations. I am living in Switzerland and her perfumes are very popular here. I wore Sun for an entire vacation, so it reminds me of sweet times. I give it 5 stars.

I see that some people here think that Ciara by R. is comparable to Sun by JS. Hmmm, Sun is just about one of my TOP 10 favorite fragrances so I had to go out and see how this Ciara compares... Wow! I can honestly say that while Ciara may end up smelling like Sun in the long run, I could not bring myself to actually spray it on my skin! Just smelling it from the bottle, Ciara was so strong and so intense smelling that just the though of not being able to wash it off before I get home, in case it does not turn out to smell like SUN in the end, was too much. I was really put off by the intensity of it so I guess I will never know... For those of you who have tried both, do you think that they smell alike right away when applied or after a while? I would be very grateful to find out! Thanks, Maya

It kind of reminds me of Lou Lou by Cacharel... perhaps they both have an amber/vanilla base? It's interesting to note that both these scents are packaged in opaque, not clear, glass bottles - maybe to protect ingredients from the light?

Smells like the sun (as we all know, since we all know what the sun smells like). Warm, not like fruit (blecchh), just sunny and different. Can't wait to my order.

I hate the fact that this is so hard to get in Canada. Anyone have a clue where I can get a fresh bottle? I loved this one and so have all the men who have ever come near my vicinity ;) So unique too, yet another reason I love it! Please tell me it's not discontinued

What a wonderfully enchanting scent. This is the perfume i can safely say that when you walk into a room and then leave again, it leaves a lingering aroma that begs a person to ask" Who has just been in here"...beautiful

I use Sun in the summer months and enjoy it. It is rather sweet and smooth. Great for sunny warm weather.

I tried it last summer while in Vienna (I was really curious after all these rave reviews..), and did not like it at all! My son said it was just gross, and it lasted forever.

Ciara by Revlon is a lot like Jil Sander Sun.

Is this discontinued? I tried and it was not so impresive.

I bought this on holiday at Athens airport. I was looking for something a little different to bring back with me and also something that would remind me of my wonderful trip. This fragrance is very hard to describe, it is unique, sweet and sexy at the same time. Try it!

I've come to know Jil Sander's "Sun" because I've been looking for a fragrance similar to Regine's, which I've worn in the early 90's and has now been discontinued. They are indeed very much alike: intense, sexy, feminine without being overpowering.

*Lol* to read that funny charming message. Yes, this is real good German stuff!! It smells wonderful and sensual. Powdery & oriental in a soft and classy way. Very long lasting! It's a German and as far as I know European BESTSELLER since it came out here in Germany. It is not too expensive and it smells beautiful and very feminine!!Greetings from Germany. Happy New Year!!

My fav summer scent for years and years. Does go well in winter too. And in fall and spring it brings back good memories :)

My wife had tried some in Germany while visiting her sister there, and every year when her sister comes and visits, she asks her to bring her a new bottle, she was unable to find it anywhere in the U.S. She even searched dif. websites, I became her hero when I was able to order it for her online... to date, I still can't find anyone but P.Emp. to deliver the stuff to me, ( she thinks I have connections in Germ.) Thanks P.Emp. for making me a hero and making my wife smell even more beautiful then she already is!

bought this for a pal to bribe her out of wearing envy. this smells (thank god) completely different. very airy, light but vanilla-y. wonderful scent which has made life much easier with its increasing popularity. i personally think it smells like waffle cones and paper. it is really special and nothing else smells like it (except maybe waffle cones and paper, that is). plus, you can get great products which smell the same. i don't wear it myself, smells too 'papery' on me, it dont like me body chemistry :( but i am a fan of people who wear it. YUM!

i just ordered the body fragrance spray. is there a difference between this and the edt ?

This is a nice fragrance for summer, I agree with the comments about it smelling like laying in the sun on the beach, but it doesn't smell like suntan lotion or baby oil to me. Very sensual, yet light at the same time. That is an unusual combination in a fragrance. It is one of the few "warmer" scents I do like, very non offensive. My husband likes it, too, which is a rare thing.

My fiancee picked this stuff up in Germany 3 years ago, and now every year we run around trying to import it into Canada. Great stuff!

I have worn Sun everyday for the last 10 years at least... It is the only fragrance I like. Subtle and not over powering. It is amazing the number of compliments from men and women.

Maybe that's why it's called Sun!!

Reminds me of johnson's baby oil.Laying out in the sun with it slathered all over my body!

Exotic and erotic! My favorite! I get compliments from men ALL THE TIME when I wear it. ;)
